Relative entropy is a divergence measure between two probability density functions of a random variable. Assuming that the random variable has only two alphabets, the relative entropy becomes a cross-entropy error function that can accelerate training convergence of multi-layer perceptron neural networks. Also, the n-th order extension of cross-entropy (nCE) error function exhibits an improved performance in viewpoints of learning convergence and generalization capability. In this paper, we derive a new divergence measure between two probability density functions from the nCE error function. And the new divergence measure is compared with the relative entropy through the use of three-dimensional plots.

The purpose of this study is to estimate the critical flood discharge and flash flood trigger rainfall for alarm system providing for a flash flood in mountainous. This study was effectively estimated a topographic characteristic factor of basin using the GIS. Especially, decided stream order using GIS at stream order decision that is important for input variable of GCIUH. Result that calculate threshold discharge to use GCIUH, at the Mureung valley basin, flash flood trigger rainfall was 16.34mm in the first 20 minutes when the threshold discharge was $14.54\;m^3/sec$.

KVN 샘플러의 국산화를 위하여, 우리는 지난 3년간의 연구로 1GHz 샘플러 Proto-Type을 설계하고 제작하였다. 첨단망인 KREONET을 이용하여 각 전파천문대를 연결하고, 바로 대전 센터로 관측 데이터를 전송하는 e-VLBI를 구현할 수 있다면, 연구의 가치와 효율을 극대화 할 수 있다. 이를 위하여 샘플러에서 직접 첨단망으로 VDIF(VLBI Data Interchange Format, VLBI 자료전송 규격)의 자료를 보낼 수 있게 새로운 샘플러를 설계하고 제작하고자 한다.

Aralia elata is an edible mountain vegetable. Angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, is a process involving migration, proliferation and cell differentiation, as well as the formation of new capillary structures. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) plays an important role in angiogenesis. The development of a functional vascular system requires a variety of growth factors, their receptors, and intracellular signals. This study examines the effects of water extracts from: (i) A. elata root bark (Aralia extracts); (ii) a combination of Aralia extracts and fibroblast growth factors (FGF-2) on cultured porcine coronary artery endothelial cells (PCAECs). Aralia extracts induced the migration of PCAECs, which was inhibited by MMPs inhibitors. Combining Aralia extracts and FGF-2 enhanced the migration and the secretion of MMP-2 and MMP­9 from PCAECs. We postulated that the Aralia extracts, which induced migrating activity in PCAECs, may be accomplished by increased secretion levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the immunoregulatory effect, apoptosis of L 1210 leukemia cells of Comus officinalis Sieb.et Zucc. The proliferation of cultured splenocytes and thymocytes were enhanced by the addition of SSY. Splenic, thymic and mesenteric lymph node-T lymphocytes, especially TH cells was significantly increased in SSY-administered (p.o. for 7 days) mice. SSY treatment induced the apoptosis of L1210 mouse leukemia cells. In addition, SSY accelerated the phagocytic activity and nitric oxide production in peritoneal macrophages. These results suggest that SSY have an immuno-regulatory property and anti-cancer effect.

Ion induced secondary electron emission coefficients γ of protecting layers of an AC plasma display panel(AC-PDP) have been measured. In order to solve the surface charging effect during the measurement at insulating samples like MgO, a new method with the patterned gold line charge neutralization has been introduced. The measurement was performed at the samples, MgO and MgO+MgF$_2$, which showed a great difference in the firing voltage between the two protecting layers. The γ value has been compared with the firing voltage Vf of the AC-PDP with the same protecting layer. Correct relationship between γ and Vf has been observed. Thus, the patterned gold line method has been proven to be successful for the measurement of the secondary electron emission yield at insulator sample surfaces.

최근 소프트웨어의 주요 알고리즘 및 자료구조 등의 지적재산권을 역공학 분석과 같이 악의적인 공격들로부터 보호하기 위한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 산업 현장에서 많이 사용되는 Visual C++ 또는 MFC로 작성된 프로그램의 소스 코드를 역공학 공격으로부터 보호하기 위한 Obfuscation 도구를 구현하고 그 성능을 평가한다. 구현된 도구는 3가지 Obfuscation 알고리즘을 적용하여 소스 코드를 생성하며 생성된 소스 코드들은 가독성이 떨어지고 역공학 분석이 어렵도록 변환되지만, 프로그램의 본래 기능은 그대로 유지하며 성능상의 변화가 크지 않음을 실험을 통해 확인할 수 있었다.

This paper offers an approach to physical therapy and rehabilitation procedure for the temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD). Forms of physical therapy are used in the treatment of chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions that include TMD joint disorders. However, there still remains a void in the study as to the various rehabilitative protocols used on those patients with TMD. Recent evidence in clinical trials show that physical therapy is helpful for patients with TMD. Exercise programs designed to improve physical fitness had beneficial effects on TMD pain and dysfunction. This study establishes treatment procedures of physical therapy and provides a method of evaluation for patients with TMD disorders.

A circuit model simulating the electrical characteristics of EEFL(External Electrode Fluorescent Lamp) is proposed. The model is based on linear approximation that represents the equivalent resistance and capacitance as a function of power. Simulation waveforms and experimental results are presented to verify feasibility of the equivalent model.
