The awareness of the nutrition labeling of 82 food producers and 668 government officials was assessed and compared, from May to June in 1994, to that of consumers. Compared to 82.4% of cosumers, 48.1% of producers and 47.8% of officials answered that nutrition labeling is necessary. 48% of producers expected a modest food price rise, but 70% thought food sales would not be affected with nutrition labeling. While being worried about the regulatory difficulties and the increased work load given the inadequate implementation of the current food labeling system due to insufficient personnel, 50.2% of officials wanted the new nutrition labeling system to be introduced within $1{\sim}2$ years. Contrary to the general dissatisfaction with the system and the lack of confidence in it on the part of consumers, producers thought that they currently provide sufficient food information for consumers, and that consumers had much confidence in it. Producers and officials were more found worried about consumers' inadequate understanding and inactive use of the system in contrast to the widespread and welcome support on the part of consumers. But it was fully agreed by all that education and awareness is crucial for the successful implementation of nutrition labeling system.

The purpose of this study was to examine pathways between job characteristics and job satisfaction among local officials in the child care sector. Participants of this study comprised of 128 local officials who worked in the child care sectors. Structural equation modeling was used to test the direct and indirect effects of job characteristics on job satisfaction through job stress and job burnout. Results confirmed the initial model that assumed there would be an indirect effect of job characteristics based on job satisfaction. The path involving three variables of job characteristics, however, were not statistically significant. The initial model was modified by removing the job characteristics variables. The modified model that confirmed the initial model showed that job stress of local officials in the child care sector was likely to increase job burnout; in turn, the job burnout tended to decrease job satisfaction.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate rural housing environment through evaluation of the two parties, public officials, the interest group and residents, the beneficiaries surveying general understanding and measuring difference in understanding between public officials and residents. Through the difference in understanding, this study was to propose effective promotion method and desirable direction of rural housing environment. For progress hereafter, by seeking active involvement of residents, this study proposed possible renewal plan of residential environment. Process of this study was first, research documents to examine several rural housing environment related promotions, and several analysis techniques like principal component analysis, multiple regression analysis used to understand different ideas Opinion of Public Officials and Inhabitants. Then take surveys of residents living in renewal zone, and surveys of public officials of borough, which already performed renewal projects to evaluate comprehensively as either residents' or administrators' view.

This study examines the determinant influence of competence: motives, traits, self-concept, knowledge, and skills on work behavior and work effectiveness in government officials. The research was conducted on government officials in the province of South Kalimantan, Indonesia. This research is qualitative in nature, including the population of government apparatus in regencies and municipalities in the South Kalimantan province of Indonesia. The number of respondents in this study was 250 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, and Data analysis has been done using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results showed a significant and positive influence on the determinants of competence, namely motives, traits, self-concept, knowledge, and skills on work behavior and work effectiveness of government officials; the determinant influence of competence showed a direct and indirect effect. This study also shows a mediating effect of work behavior between the determinants of competence (motives, traits, self-concept, knowledge, and skills) on the work effectiveness of government officials. This study's results are expected to provide suggestions to local governments in the South Kalimantan province of Indonesia to conduct performance appraisals for government officials apart from the performance appraisal methods that have been implemented.

China media environment has drastically changed leading to the an inevitable change of public opinion ecology. Empirical studies have focused less on public opinion guidance, which forms an important component of the government officials' media literacy. This study applied quantitative method in the investigation of media literacy in China. Ideally, media literacy is measured from media cognition, media contact, media usage under the view of public opinion guidance. The findings reveal that the existing problem on 1) incorrect media cognition and public opinion guidance; 2) insufficient contact of personal social media 3) improper tendencies in the use of media to guide the public opinion, especially, on confidential information. Consequently, in order to improve media literacy in China government officials, enhancement of their basic knowledge on news diffusion and public opinion is necessary. Secondly, to effectively deal with "agenda settings", it is important for the government to consider the provision of valuable information and platforms to effectively spread information. So they need to learn how to personally and officially use social media platforms such as Weiboa and Wechat. This ensures they have maximized their potential to acquire valuable information and spread them on valuable platforms. Thirdly, government officials should be able to analyze and understand public opinion trends for official and personal use. Finally, they should understand the development of public opinion and the how online public opinion laws are formed and the target group.

Purpose: The aims of this study were to identify the relationships among alcohol level, impact of event, occupational stress, and distress disclosure and to determine the influences on alcohol level among fire officials. Methods: Participants in this cross-sectional, descriptive study were 241 fire officials. Data were collected from June 2018 to July 2018 using self-reported questionnaires and were analyzed using IBM SPSS 22.0 software (IBM, Armonk, NY, USA). Results: The results revealed significant positive relationships between alcohol level and impact of event, and impact of event and occupational stress, and a negative relationships between occupational stress and distress disclosure. Regression analysis revealed that alcohol level accounted for 9.2% of the variance by gender, and impact of event(e.g., sleep problems and emotional numbness). Conclusion: These findings provide information that can be used in the development of mental health promotion programs for fire officials.

The purpose of this study was to identify the opinions on 'Dagagu' Housing Purchase and Public Rental Program by public officials and professionals in the area of social or housing welfare to suggest ideas for improvement of this program. Data were collected from 146 public officials and 108 professionals in the area of social or housing welfare. Respondents showed that the perception on this program was not high, especially respondents working in Seoul showed lower perception than respondents in other localities in spite of experience of pilot program executed in Seoul. Respondents also thought that this program will take an realistic role to improve housing welfare for urban poor. Other opinions to practice this program were also suggested.

The purpose of this study was to suggest the effective methods for human resource management of social welfare officials through empirical analysis on the relationship between professionalism and job attitude. This study came from the academic background that there have been few previous studies about social welfare officials' professionalism so far. To achieve this purpose, it empirically analyzed professionalism and job attitude through survey to social welfare officials. And as a result, it showed that the elements of professionalism have a significant effect on the variables of job attitude, such as job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and job commitment. Based on this result, it suggested theoretical and political implication that can improve the level of professionalism and job attitude of social welfare officials.

This study aims to review the reality of local educational officials in technical post, to investigate their needs and awareness for newly changing social environment, and to inspire them with alternatives and strategies for reforming and restructuring their organization. It examines and analyses the strong points and weak points of the organization, the methods for improving the operation systems and organizational structures and the problems in the personnel management in officialdom, especially unfairness between the executive and the technical officials through a questionnaire and interview. This study ascertains that most of the technical officials consider expert knowledge and experience as their strong point and think the negative image against its group as their weak point for the organizational development. Specially this article indicates that they are not satisfied with the job conditions and want to shift to the official in executive post.
