Purpose: The purpose of this phenomenological study was to understand the job experiences of the medical aid client managers Method: The data were collected through an in-depth interview from twelve medical aid client managers. It was analyzed using the phenomenological method proposed by Colaizzi (1978). Their feedback was categorized into five items such as 'settlement in the unknown place,' 'exhaustion from work,' 'difficulties in dealing with people,' 'achievement of professionalism and accomplishment,' and 'vision on the new aspect.' Conclusion: Medical aid client managers played diverse roles and they had a role conflict due to unstable position amid feeling proud with new vision on their roles. The results of this study suggested that systematic development of job training programs and description on the duty are needed. Moreover, appropriate legal basis for the duty of medical aid client managers is to be established. Finally, based on this research, more acknowledgement from the Korean nursing society is needed for the new emerging professional job.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the needs of prior field learning and the academic achievement of field experience learning in a college. Methods: This study was performed from May 1 to October 30, and students were given questionnaire. The research questionnaire as follows: (1) to investigate the academic achievement after field experience learning, (2) to verify the needs of field experience learning. A statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 17.0 for window version. Results: The results was as follows : First, satisfaction of field learning had scored good(47.2%) in lesson goal, good(51.8%) in acquisition of knowledge and techniques, good(51.0%) in preparation of study and good(45.9%) in association. Second, curriculum of field learning had scored normal(35.5%) in prior education, good(47.4%) in composition, good(50.8%) in guidance and good(47.2%) in contents. Third, curriculum of field learning had scored good(44.6%) in duration, good(46.1%) in numbers, good(51.3%) in convenience and normal(38.1%) in means of transportation. Forth, needs of field learning had scored good(46.6%) in field learning of practicum, good(48.2%) in field learning of theory subject, 3-4 times(42.0%) in frequency of field learning and 2hours(57.3%) in a field learning hour. Conclusion: These findings suggest that college student's thinking of field experience learning is positive. Field experience learning provided that college students have directly an opportunity of gaining valuable experience to feel the field.
Purpose: Physician's occupational burnout has been a very important issue that can cause negative consequences not only for individual's physical and mental health, but also for patient's health and the overall national healthcare system. For the reason, this study confirmed how consultation length and the number of outpatients affect physician's occupational burnout in the medical environment. Methodology: In the study, the data of '2020 Korean Physician Survey' conducted by Korean Medical Association(KMA) was used for the analysis, and a total of 4,215 physicians were selected as study samples. The differences in the degree of occupational burnout according to the physicians' general characteristics were confirmed through uni-variate analysis, and also a regression analysis was conducted to confirm the effects of consultation length and the number of outpatients on physician's occupational burnout. Findings: As a result. the overall degree of physician's occupational burnout decreased(𝛽=-0.051, p<0.01) as the consultation length increased. Specifically, the physician's emotional exhaustion increased(𝛽=0.051, p<0.01), while the reduction of accomplishment decreased(𝛽=-0.131, p<0.001). Furthermore, the overall occupational burnout decreased(𝛽=-0.047, p<0.01) as a proportion of advice and education during the consultation increased, and it had an effect on the decrease in depersonalization(𝛽=-0.045, p<0.01) and the reduction of accomplishment(𝛽=-0.065, p<0.001). At last, as the number of outpatients increased, the overall occupational burnout increased(𝛽=0.041, p<0.05) with more emotional exhaustion(𝛽=0.095, p<0.001), depersonalization(𝛽=0.065, p<0.001), and less reduction of personal achievement(𝛽=-0.081, p<0.001). Practical implication: Consequently, it is necessary to prevent physician's occupational burnout by ensuring sufficient consultation length and providing a medical environment to treat an appropriate number of patients. Therefore, national policies should expand health insurance coverage and compensate medical fees for sufficient consultation length that both patients and physicians can satisfy. It will ultimately contribute to ensuring the patients' health and improving the quality of national healthcare services.
Purpose of the study was to identify the relationship between job stress and health promoting behavior(HPB) among nurses. Samples were 426 nurses working in some university hospitals which were chosen by convenient sampling. Data was collected by using constructed questionnaires from March 28th to April 7th 2001. The instruments used for in the study were 'The Health Promotion Behavior' which was developed by Park(1995) and 'The Job Stress' modified by Kim(1998). The data was analyzed by mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test and Pearson's correlation coefficient in the SPSS program. The results were as follows : 1. The mean score of job stress was 3.51 which is meant to be 'more than moderate' level of stress. 2. The total mean score of health promoting behavior was 2.44; 'Management of Sanitary life' 3.12, 'Harmonious relation-ships' 2.95, 'Emotional support' 2.71, 'Diet control' 2.59, 'Self-achievement' 2.57, 'Self-control' 2.31, 'Healthy diet' 2.29, 'Rest and sleep' 2.26, 'Exercise and activity' 2.12, 'Regular diet' 1.91 and 'Professional health maintenance' 1.61 were shown in each HPB category. 3. There were not any statistical differences between job stress and general characteristics of nurses. 4. The health promoting behavior was significantly influenced by factors of age, marital status, education level, religion, position, career and family income of nurses. 5. There was not any correlations between job stress and health promoting behavior.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of a cognitive-exercise program using step on the cognitive function, gait, and depression of elderly with mild cognitive impairment. Methods : The subjects comprised 30 elderly people with mild cognitive impairment who used elderly welfare centers in the provinces A, B, and C between March 21 and June 7, 2019. They were divided into an experimental group (n=15) and a control group (n=15) before undergoing an experiment based on a pretest-posttest control group design. The lowenstein occupational therapy cognitive assessment-geriatric population was used to assess the subjects' cognitive function, while the 4-stage balance test, 30-second chair-stand test, timed up & go test, and functional reach test were employed to evaluate their gait. In addition, the beck depression inventory was used to measure their levels of depression. Results : The cognitive-exercise program using step enhanced the subjects' cognitive function and gait and reduced their levels of depression. Furthermore, statistically significant differences were found between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion : The cognitive-exercise program using step promoted the process of sensorimotor and cognition through the learning process of various steps taking left and right steps and cognitive activities. It improves gait by activating the coordination of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems of the body and positively affecting posture control, balance, flexibility, and lower extremity muscles. It also relieved depression by performing successful step learning and cognitive activities with forward-looking (doing) that leads to pleasure and achievement. The present study confirmed the value of a cognitive-exercise program using step to treat multiple domains of functional decline in elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment. This is therefore proposed as an intervention program for this patient group.
Purpose: This study aimed to define and clarify learning transfer in nursing. Methods: This study used a hybrid model to analyze the concept of learning transfer in nursing through three phases. For the theoretical phase, learning transfer attributes were identified through a scoping literature review. In the fieldwork phase, in-depth focus group interviews were conducted to develop attributes. Purposive sampling was performed with ten participants(five nursing students, two nurses, three nursing faculty members). In the analysis phase, the attributes and final analysis of learning transfer in nursing were extracted and integrated from the previous two phases. Results: According to the analysis, learning transfer was represented in two dimensions with eight attributes. The development of competency dimension had three attributes: 1) theory acquisition, nursing skills, professional attitude, 2) integration, and 3) analysis competency. The competency change dimension had five attributes: 1) appropriateness in patient care, 2) proficiency in patient care, 3) satisfaction, 4) achievement, and 5) confidence. Conclusion: The concept analysis might provide a basic understanding of learning transfer, a development framework toward a measurement of nursing learning transfer and effective educational nursing strategies.
The purpose of this study is to investigate Korean youth's motivations for parenthood and concepts of parental role and to examine closely the relationship with the sociodemographic variables(age, sex, religious orientation, growth region, father's occupational level, parental education degree). the subjects are 465 students of the three universities in National Capital region. The data are collected by questionnair methods and analyzed by t-test, F-test, factor analysis. The major findings are as follows: 1) The motivations for parenthood are classified into five factors. These are acquisition of social status factor, continuation of self factor, achevement and creativity factor, tradition factor, primary group ties factor. The korean youth think the most of achievement and creativity factor among five motivation factors. 2) The korean students have somewhat stereo-typed concepts of parental role and place the stress on training the behaviors of the child and encouraging the development of the child. 3) The sociodemographic variables to have relationship with the motivations for parenthood are age, sex, growth region and father and mother's educational degrees. And the variables related with the concepts of parental role are sex, father's occupational level. 4) There are relationships between traditional role concepts of a father and motivation of acquisition of social status factor and tradition factor. And traditional role concepts of a mother are related with motivations of acquisition of social status factor and primary group ties factor among the motivations for parenthood.
The purpose of this study is to identify lifestyle types for Koreans' time use through the 2014 National Time Survey. In this 2014 national life time survey data, the required maintenance time, mandatory time, and free time presented in the triangle model were divided into three areas, and compared and analyzed by age and region. In this type of lifestyle, teenagers, people in their 20s and 50s were given reasonable life-seeking, people in their 30s and 40s were given achievement-seeking, and people in their 60s, 70s and 80s were given passive real-life seeking. The required maintenance time of each regional lifestyle activity was Jeonbuk, Ulsan, and Gangwon took up the most time during free time. The higher the age, the higher the satisfaction level of each age, the higher the satisfaction level of life, while the satisfaction level of each region was the highest in Daejeon and the lowest in Ulsan. The satisfaction level for each lifestyle type was higher, followed by rational life pursuit, achievement pursuit and passive reality. It seems that systematic research on lifestyle will be needed in future studies through the diversification of areas of time, classification according to leisure characteristics, and type of lifestyle.
Background: The selection of an occupation is typically based on individuals' personalities and the characteristics of occupations, which significantly affect occupational consciousness. The present study aimed to enhance the occupational achievement level of and provide fundamental data for student counseling in order to develop competitive professional workers by understanding the occupational consciousness of freshmen and motivating them as dental hygienists with career development plans, as freshmen majoring in dental hygiene eventually play a significant role in the field of dentistry as dental hygienists. Methods: The surveys were distributed to 160 freshmen in the dental hygiene department and were subsequently collected. The data from 142 surveys were used for analysis, as 18 surveys were excluded due to insincere responses. The survey contents included questions related to major selection and satisfaction, including motives for selecting a dental hygiene major, prior knowledge on a dental hygiene major and a career as a dental hygienist, satisfaction level of the major, and reasons for dissatisfaction in cases if applicable, as well as questions related to occupational consciousness, including career prospects for dental hygienists, opinions on the occupation, and conditions of job selection. Results: High employment rate with good salary level ranked highest (43.7%) among motives to apply the dental hygiene major, followed by the desire to be a professional worker (21.1%) and recommendation by acquaintances. Of those who responded, 50.7% indicated a normal level of satisfaction with the major, and 69.9% responded that they had prior knowledge regarding the dental hygiene major and/or field of dental hygiene. These results may be due to youth unemployment and the occurrence of job preparation immediately after students enter university, which is a result of the difficulty in job seeking. In terms of career prospects, 48.6% of students responded with "growing a little bit," followed by "growing a lot" (28.9%), "no difference from now" (21.1%), and "other" (1.4%). Regarding opinions on the occupation, 65.5% responded that occupation was an tool with which to make and income or a living, 23.2% responded that occupation was for dreams and self-realization, and 11.3% responded that occupation was for success in life and maintaining social status. Regarding the conditions of job selection, the responses included that the workplace had good working conditions (39.4%), good interpersonal relationships (21.8%), and a higher salary (18.3%). This may reflect the change in work ethics among university students, according to the trend of the times. Conclusion: Based on the results of the present study, we found that educational guidance to enhance the level of satisfaction with the major, and career guidance to understand and apply the clear vision and long-term job security are necessary.

Objective : This study aims to analyze the effects of visual perception intervention by systematically reviewing the studies that applied visual perception intervention to children with cerebral palsy. Methods : The databases used were PubMed, EMbase, Science Direct, ProQuest, Koreanstudies Information Service System (KISS), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), and the National Assembly Library. The keywords used were cerebral palsy, CP, and visual perception. According to the PRISMA flowchart, 10 studies were selected from among studies published from January 1, 2012 to March 30, 2022. The quality level of the selected studies, the demographic characteristics of study participants, the effectiveness of interventions, area and strategies of intervention, assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of interventions, and risk of bias were analyzed. Results : All selected studies confirmed that visual perception intervention was effective in improving visual perception function. In addition, positive results were shown in upper extremity function, activities of daily living, posture control, goal achievement, and psychosocial areas as well as visual perception function. The eye-hand coordination area was intervened in all studies. Conclusion : In visual perception intervention, It is necessary to evaluate the visual perception function by area, and apply systematically graded customized interventions for each individual.
