아동중심놀이치료에서의 아동과 치료자 반응 관찰척도 개발 (The Development of an Observation Scale to facilitate a Valid and Reliable Analysis of the Responses of Child and Therapist in Child-Centered Play Therapy)

  • This study was conducted in order to develop an observation scale for analyzing the responses of child and therapist in child-centered play therapy in terms of item discrimination, validity, and reliability. The observation scale was developed on the basis of child-centered play therapy literature, the author's experience of child-centered play therapy, the observation of video tapes of play therapy session, and discussions with child-centered play therapy experts. The participants in this study were 54 children aged from 4 to 9 years old who have emotional and behavioral problems, and 7 therapists who consult with the children. The reliability of factors, as measured by inter-rater reliability and Cronbach's', ranged from .72 to .77. The results of factor analysis identified 2 factors and 21 items associated with the reponses of the children, and 2 factors and 19 items associated with the responses of the therapists. The significant factors identified were as follows; (1) the child's response style; (2) the child's response content (adaptability, initiation, structuring, flexibility); (3) the therapist's response style, and (4) the therapist's response content (facilitative response, structuring, nonfacilitative response). In conclusion, these results demonstrated that the observation scale provides a valid and reliable means of analyzing the responses of child and therapist in child-centered play therapy.

The Effect of Action Observation Training on Sit to Walk with Chronic Stroke Patients

  • Purpose: This study was performed to examine the effect of action observation training on sit to-walk times in chronic stroke patients. Methods: Twelve stroke patients were randomly allocated to two groups, as follows: an action observation training (AOT) group and a scenery picture observation (SPO) group. The AOT group was engaged in video observation for 2 minutes 30 seconds with 12 ADL functional activities related to the sit-to-walk task: physical training was carried out in two repetitions lasting 2 minutes 30 seconds. The landscape imagery control group observed landscape picture for 2 minutes 30 seconds and then carried out the same physical training. The intervention involved a total of 12 sessions over 4 weeks, and each session lasted 30 minutes. The pre and post-tests measured the timed up and go test (TUG), Sit to stand test (STS), and Dynamic gait index (DGI). The Wilcoxon signed ranks test was used to compare pre-test and post-test result, and the Mann-Whitney U test was employed for comparison between groups. Results: The TUG time was significantly different between the AOT group and the SPO group. According to the findings, the experimental group's TUG was significantly decreased (p<0.05). In comparison of the two groups, there was no significant in STS or DGI between the AOT group and SPO group. Conclusion: This study showed that the intervention can be used to decrease TUG time. Our research suggests that action observation training has a positive effect on sit-to-walk times in patients with chronic stroke.

관찰형태에 따른 동작관찰 훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 안정성 한계와 동적보행능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Action Observation with Observation Type on Limits of Stability and Dynamic Gait Ability in Stroke Patients)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of action observation with observation type on the limits of stability and dynamic gait ability in stroke patients. METHODS: The 20 stroke patients who participated in this study were randomly divided into two experimental groups who underwent training three times a week for 4 weeks. Their balance was tested as the limit of stability with Biorescue. Their Dynamic gait ability was tested with the Dynamic Gait Index (DGI) before the intervention, and after 4 weeks. Independent and paired t-tests were used to analyze the results. RESULTS: The results confirmed the limit of stability on the moving areas of the paralyzed and non-paralyzed sides. The limit of stability and dynamic gait index measurements confirmed that the moving area showed a significant difference after the intervention in the whole movement observation group (p<.05), but the partial movement observation group showed no significant difference (p>.05). A significant difference was also noted for the comparison between the both groups after the interventions (p<.05). The functional walking ability showed a significant difference when compared to the ability before the intervention, as determined by the changes in scores obtained for the dynamic gait index (p<.05). CONCLUSION: Interventions utilizing whole movement confirm that training improves stability and functional walking ability in stroke patients with disabilities in balance and walking ability.

동작관찰훈련이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 균형능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Action Observation Training on Balance in Patients with Chronic Stroke)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 동작관찰훈련이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 균형능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 연구기간은 2013년 7월 8일부터 8월 10일까지 수행하였다. 연구대상자들은 무작위로 풍경사진관찰군(n=20)과 동작관찰군(n=20)으로 나누었다. 두 군은 각각 5분 동안 풍경사진 및 균형과 관련된 동작을 동영상으로 관찰하였다. 영상관찰 후, 두 군 모두 10분동안 균형훈련을 받았다. 훈련 세션은 2회 반복하여 하루 30분, 주 3회, 6주 동안 실시하였다. 그 결과, 풍경사진관찰군에 비해 동작관찰군에서 정적 및 동적균형이 유의하게 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다(p<.05). 결론적으로, 동작관찰과 균형훈련의 결합은 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 균형회복에 도움을 줄 것으로 생각된다.

동영상 관찰훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 편측무시와 일상생활활동 수행능력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Video Observation Training on Neglect and Ability to Perform Activities of Daily Living of Stroke Patients)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 동영상 관찰훈련이 편측무시와 일상생활활동 수행능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법 : 뇌졸중 진단을 받은 환자 30명을 대상으로 실험군 15명은 작업치료와 물리치료 외에 추가로 동영상 관찰훈련을 실시하였고, 대조군은 작업치료와 물리치료 외에 추가로 위상치료를 실시하였다. 치료 중재 전 후의 편측무시를 비교하기 위해 선 나누기 검사를 시행하였고, 일상생활활동 수행능력을 비교하기 위해 FIM을 시행하였다. 결과 : 동영상 관찰훈련을 시행한 집단이 위상치료를 시행한 집단에 비해 편측무시가 감소되었고, 일상생활활동 수행능력이 더 많이 향상되었다. 선 나누기 검사로 평가된 편측무시는 일상생활활동 수행능력과 통계학적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 결론 : 동영상 관찰훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 편측무시 감소와 일상생활활동 수행능력 향상을 위한 치료방법으로써 임상에서 유용하게 적용될 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.

종관 관측 자료 변화에 따른 예보 성능 분석 (Analysis of Forecast Performance by Altered Conventional Observation Set)

  • The conventional observations of the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) and National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) are compared in the numerical weather forecast system at the Korea Institute of Atmospheric Prediction Systems (KIAPS). The weather forecasting system used in this study is consists of Korea Integrated Model (KIM) as a global numerical weather prediction model, three-dimensional variational method as a data assimilation system, and KIAPS Package for Observation Processing (KPOP) as an observation pre-processing system. As a result, the forecast performance of NCEP observation was better while the number of observation is similar to the KMA observation. In addition, the sensitivity of forecast performance was investigated for each SONDE, SURFACE and AIRCRAFT observations. The differences in AIRCRAFT observation were not sensitive to forecast, but the use of NCEP SONDE and SURFACE observations have shown better forecast performance. It is found that the NCEP observations have more wind observations of the SONDE in the upper atmosphere and more surface pressure observations of the SURFACE in the ocean. The results suggest that evenly distributed observations can lead to improved forecast performance.

일반 성인의 작업과 활동의 중재 형태에 대한 행위 관찰 시 거울신경세포 시스템의 EEG 활성도 차이 (Differences of EEG Activation in Mirror Neuron System during Action Observation for Occupation-based, Purposeful Activity, Preparatory Method in adult subjects)

  • Purpose: This study aims to identify changes in the mirror neuron system in normal people through mu rhythm during action observation of occupation-based intervention, purposeful activity and prepare a method of intervention form of occupation using occupation and activity. Methods: TThis study aims to identify changes in the mirror neuron system in normal people through mu rhythm during action observation of occupation-based intervention, purposeful activity and prepare a method of intervention form of occupation using occupation and activity. The activation of the mirror neuron system was compaired among 3 condition by oneway ANOVA. Results: The result of analysis showed mu suppression in all conditions. Although all conditions showed mu suppression, there was no significant difference among the conditions. Conclusion: The results suggest that the mirror neuron system is activated during action observation to be able to occupational therapy but the mirror neuron system is not separately activated among the conditions.

Comparison of Postural Control Ability according to the Various Video Contents during Action Observations

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of the type of video contents used for action observations on the ability to control posture. Methods: The participants were 48 healthy adults. The two hands of the participants were crossed on both shoulders, and the other foot was placed in a straight line in front of the target to allow them to watch a video of the monitor. The videos were presented in random order with three video contents (natural, stable balance posture, and unstable balance posture) consisting of 30 seconds each. A 15-second resting time was given between each video. During action observation using various video content forms, the posture control ability was measured using a TekScan MetScan® system. Results: The results revealed statistically significant differences in the area of movement and the distance by COP and distance by the type of action-observation videos, and the distance by the anteroposterior and mediolateral sides (p<0.05). The stable balance posture and unstable balance posture video showed significant differences in the distance by the COP, anteroposterior, and mediolateral distance. (p<0.05) Conclusion: This study suggests that choosing the contents of the videos is important during action-observation training, and action-observation training can help improve postural control.

외국 과학교육과정의 관찰과 측정 기준 분석 (An Analysis of Observation and Measurement Standards in Foreign National Science Curriculums)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 외국의 과학 교육에 나타난 탐구기준 중 관찰과 측정 기준을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 미국 과학 교육 기준, 미국 캘리포니아주, 메사츄세츠주, 콜로라도주, 텍사스주, 네브라스카주, 버지니아주, 플로리다주, 영국, 싱가포르, 캐나다 앨버타주, 호주 빅토리아주, 뉴질랜드의 과학교육 과정에 나타난 탐구 기준을 분석하였다. 분석결과 다음과 같은 것을 발견하였다. 외국 교육 과정은 관찰 요소에서 관찰의 정확성, 관찰 과정에서의 신중함과 체계성, 오감의 사용, 관찰 도구의 사용, 관찰에 대한 이해의 5가지 특징적인 세부 기준을 포함하고 있었다. 또한 측정 요소에서는 측정의 체계성과 정확성을 강조하고, 측정 대상을 명시하였으며, 측정 도구를 학년별로 제시하였고, 측정에서 적합한 단위의 사용을 강조하는 4가지 특징을 가지고 있었다.
