  • Up to date, C-0 Finite Element Method which is the means for analyzing electric machinery can not be got the precision magnetic flux density because the magnetic flus density has the discontinuity in the interelement. To supplement this defect, we propose the C-1 finite element method of 9 D.O.F. in this paper. In this method, the vector potential and the magnetic flux density are continuous on the interelement and direction derivative of potential would be an unknown value. We developed the algorithm to apply this method. For examining the utility, we applied this method to analytic model and compared with the result of C-0 Finite Element Method using linear element.

  • In the operation of distribution systems, DGs (Distributed Generations) are installed as an alternative to extension and the establishment of substations, transmission and distribution lines according to the increasing power demand. In the operation planning of DGs, determining optimal capacity and allocation achieves economical profitability and improves the reliability of power distribution systems. This paper proposes a determining method for the optimal number, size and allocation of DGs in order to minimize the operation costs of distribution systems. Capacity and allocation of DGs for economical operation planning duration are determined to minimize total cost composed with power buying cost, operation cost of DGs, loss cost and outage cost using the GA (Genetic Algorithm).

  • This paper presents the design of DC protection Relay for Light Rail Transit system, which is very beginning product in domestic. Protection Function characteristic, principle and I/O interface including interlock signal has been introduced. The protection algorithm and EMC characteristics have been certified by official organization and Type test report has been introduced. Up to date in domestic, the test procedure for DC Protection relay hasn't been established so the new method and test equipment based on IEC regulations are proposed. Finally the product will be proved based on field test.

  • 본 논문에서는 신경망 모델링을 통하여 HDP-CVD를 이용한 실리콘 산화막 형성에 영향을 주는 다섯 가지 공정 장비 변수와 그에 따른 두 가지 출력 파라미터 Deposition rate과 Uniformity와의 관계를 동시에 고려한 특성결과를 분석하고, 최적의 recipe를 Genetic Algorithm을 통해 제시하였다. 실험계획법을 사용하여, 필요한 실험의 횟수를 최소화 하였으며 그 실험결과를 신경망 모델링을 통하여 입력변수와 출력파라미터의 관계를 3차원의 반응표면 곡선으로 분석하였다. 이 과정을 통해 Deposition rate과 Uniformity을 동시에 고려한 두 출력파라미터를 만족하는 최적의 입력변수 값들을 제시하였다.

  • 서열의 유사성 검색에 잘 알려진 도구로는 BLAST 와 FASTA 가 있으며 이들 알고리즘은 알려지지 않은 유기체를 sequencing 작업을 통하여 얻어진 염기서열과 유전자 데이터베이스를 대상으로 유사성을 검색한다. 이때 서열의 유사성을 검색하기에 앞서 선행 되어야만 하는 sequencing작업은 시간적인 면에서 상당한 비용을 요구한다. 반면 sequencing 작업을 하기 않고도 간단한 실험에 의해 얻을 수 있는 부분적인 서열정보만을 대상으로 데이터베이스에서 검색 할 수 있는 알고리즘으로 RIFLE가 있다. 본 논문에서는 RIFLE 알고리즘을 구현하고 실험데이터를 생성하여 성능에 대한 분석 평가를 하고자 한다. 성능평가 결과 RIFLE 알고리즘은 시간복잡도 $O(n^2)$으로 빠른 반면 일부 서열에 있어서 실제 유사도에 비해 정확도가 낮게 평가되는 결과가 산출되었다.

  • Ray-tracing algorithm can synthesize photo-realistic image, but its computational cost is high. Fast image synthesis based on ray-tracing is one of the most important topics in computer graphics. There are two methods for high speed ray-tracing. First this paper discusses various load distribution and scheduling of multiprocessor for high sped ray-tracing. Then this paper proposes load distribution strategies based on them, implements and evaluates it on multiprocessor. The experiment results show that the proposed method can solve the unbalanced load problem of dynamic load distribution, and scan line method and dot method among a kind of static load distribution strategies disperse the load efficiently.

  • When the magnetic levitation system(MAGLEV) initially rise, The MAGLEV has a weak point that is very large variation of the electric current. In this paper, The author applied the multi-loop-control to stably control the magnetic levitation system(MAGLEV). The gains of the control algorithm were selected based on pole locations formulated from a prototype Bessel transfer function model. The design incorporate tradeoffs in DC-to-DC converter hard-ware para-meters and pole locations. In order to confirm the superiority of the proposed pole selection and controller, MATLAB simulation and experiment results are presented.

  • This paper proposes determining a optimal number, size and allocation of DGs(Distributed Generations) needed to minimize operation cost of distribution system, obtains economic benefit in operation planning of DG and improves system reliability. System reliability is assessed whether DG install and reliability cost consider. DG optimal allocations are determined to minimize total cost with power buying cost, operation cost of DG, loss cost and outage cost using GA(Genetic Algorithm).   • Most of distributed PLC system is secured reliability of the system by fully duplicated controller. But it costs too much. In this paper, we proposed fault tolerant control using minimum spare controllers. First, the system is modeled using Galois field. Next, we designed additional spare controllers using the parity code of two dimensions. Finally, the algorithm for producing estimated output in remote I/O when the fault occurs was suggested. This method will be applied to an automatic system in order to increase reliability and improve cost performance.

  • Zone 3 of the distance relay is used to provide the remote back-up protection in case of the failure of the primary protection. However, the risk for mal-operations under stressed conditions such as heavy loading, voltage and transient instability is usually high. Zone 3 is used in combination with the derivatives of the voltage, and current, etc to prevent mal-operations. Sometimes, the impedance characteristics that restrict the tripping area of relay are used to avoid the mal-operations due to load encroachment. This paper presents a novel zone 3 scheme based on combining the steady-state components(i.e. 60Hz) and the transient components(TCs) using a state diagram that visualizes the sequence of studies that emanate from the sequence of events. The simulation results show that the novel zone 3 distance relay elements using the proposed method operates correctly for the various events.
