간호사의 전문직관, 정치참여가 대상자 옹호에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Nursing Professional Value and Political Participation of Nurses on Patient Advocacy)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the level of patient advocacy and to determine the influence of nursing professional value and political participation of nurses on patient advocacy theory. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional descriptive study design. Data were collected from 232 nurses from a tertiary hospital, three general hospitals, and a public health center in two districts of a metropolitan using self-reporting questionnaires. Data were analyzed by t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression using SPSS/ WIN 21.0. Results: The mean score of patient advocacy was 4.64±0.55 out of 6, nursing professional value was 3.60±0.49 out of 5, and political participation was 2.21±0.71 out of 5. Nursing professional value (r=.37, p<.001) and political participation (r=.23, p<.001) showed a significant positive relationship with patient advocacy. Factors influencing patient advocacy were identified as nursing professional value (β=.28, p<.001) and political participation (β=.15, p=.014). Conclusion: Based on the findings that nursing professional value and political participation are key factors of patient advocacy, educational strategies and endeavors as level of professional organization are recommended for enhancing patient advocacy.

간호대학생의 간호전문직관 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Nursing Professional Value of Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 임상간호인성, 임상실습스트레스, 스트레스 대처 및 간호전문직관의 관련성을 파악하고, 간호전문직관에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하여 간호대학생의 올바른 간호전문직관을 증진시키기 위한 프로그램을 개발하는데 기초자료로 활용하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 2019년 5월에서 6월까지 G시 소재 대학에 재학 중인 4학년 학생 145명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS를 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, 상관관계 분석, 단계적 다중회귀분석으로 실시하였다. 연구결과, 간호대학생의 임상간호인성, 임상실습스트레스, 스트레스 대처는 간호전문직관과 유의한 양의 상관관계를 나타냈다. 간호전문직관에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 임상간호인성과 스트레스 대처로, 이들 요인은 간호전문직관을 38.2% 설명하였고(F=43.973, p=.000), 가장 영향을 미치는 요인은 스트레스 대처로 나타났다(β=.508, p=.000). 본 연구의 결과는 간호대학생의 긍정적인 간호전문직관을 위해서 임상간호인성을 증진시키고 다양한 스트레스 대처방법을 제공하는 것이 필요함을 보여준다.

노인 만성질환자 돌봄행위에 대한 간호사의 중요도 인지와 영향요인 (Influencing Factors and Importance of Nurses' Caring Behaviors for Chronically Sick Elderly)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of nurses' caring behaviors and to identify the factors influencing of nurses' caring behaviors. Methods: The participants were 404 nurses who were caring the chronically sick elderly in five H university hospitals. Data were collected through self-reported questionnaires on the importance of caring behaviors, nursing professional value and job satisfaction. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 16.0. Results: The average score for importance of nurses' caring behaviors was 3.38 and the 'professional knowledge and skill' factor was the highest level. The mean score of nursing professional value was 7.53 and job satisfaction, 3.18. Importance of nurses' caring behaviors had a significant positive correlation with nursing professional value, job satisfaction, nurse's age and work experience among demographic variables. Two significant variables influencing importance of nurses' caring behaviors were nursing professional value and job satisfaction. But characteristics of nurses did not influence. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that importance of nurses' caring behaviors can be improved by intervening factors affecting this importance. Based on the findings of this study, further nursing practice and nursing research for nurses caring the sick elderly should be focused on their nursing professional value and job satisfaction.

간호사가 인지한 치매노인 돌봄행위의 중요도 및 영향요인 (Importance of and Influencing Factors on Nurses' Caring Behaviors for Elders with Dementia)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of nurses' caring behaviors and to identify influencing factors on nurses' caring behaviors for elders with dementia. Methods: Data were collected through questionnaires from 156 nurses in several demented elderly setting and analyzed by applying descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 16.0. Results: The average score for importance of nurses' caring behaviors was 3.55 and the 'attentive to other's experience' factor was the highest level. The mean score of nursing professional value was 8.46 and job satisfaction, 3.86. Importance of nurses' caring behaviors had a significant positive correlation with nursing professional value, job satisfaction and nurse's age. Four significant variables influencing importance of nurses' caring behaviors were job satisfaction, nursing professional value, working area of nurses and cognition dysfunction of elderly. Conclusion: With the results of this study, importance of nurses' caring behaviors can be improved by intervening the factors affecting this importance. Based on the findings of this study, further nursing practice and research for nurses' caring the elders with dementia should be focused on job satisfaction, nursing professional value, working area of nurses and cognitive dysfunction of elderly.

임상간호 가치관에 관한 일 조사연구 (Study on Value Conceptions in fundamentals of Nursing)

  • This study was designed to investigate differences in some aspects of value conceptions in fundamentals of nursing functions between nursing service personnel and nurse-educators. The purpose of the study was to identify the difference of value conceptions between the hospital nurses and school instructors, to contribute as a reference in strengthening the educational program in establishing nay hinder professional growth. The questionaries of this study were focused in the following aspects: 1) establishment of nursing service management system, 2) strengthening of the professionalization of nursing service, 3) hindrance in accomplishment of independent nursing functions, 4) communication skills in nurse-patient relationship, 5) activities directly related to nursing care planning, 6) communication skills in nurse-doctor relationship, 7) attitude towards taking responsibilities for patient- centered nursing approach, and 8) nursing educational approach towards preparation of professional competence in practicing independent nursing functions. 265 graduate nurses from 14 general hospitals and 88 nursing instructors from 18 schools, collegiate and diploma, were sampled. The main findings of the study were as follows; 1. Both groups responded highly in the lack of public recognition of nursing profession and hospital administrators support in establishment of nursing service management system. Further investigation is needed to define some relationship between the intrinsic and extrinsic factors which might give influence to the professional development. 2. while hospital nursing personnel responded on environmental pressure such as a heavy nursing load as the factor giving hindrance to independent nursing functions, the nurse educators responded highly on lack of nursing competence of individual nurses. An emphasis should be placed on the development of nursing interaction through professional education. If the professional model is not well established, nursing function will be limited to medical assistance. 3. 3. The patient-centered approach for nurse-patient communication had given positive respond for both group, tut lacks in team concept in problem solving process. There exist a social distance between nurses and other professional co-workers in the hospital hierarchy. 4. It was indicated that, as an intrinsic factor in the development of nursing service and nursing education, building up a philosophical basis is an utmost importance. This question is opened for further and extensive study to clarify whether existence of philosophical absence or philosophical stasis in nursing profession hinders the development.

간호사 신문활용교육(NIE)이 간호학생의 자기효능감 및 전문직 자아개념에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Nurse Newspaper In Education (NIE) on Self Efficacy and Professional Self Concept in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to analyze the effect of NIE to nursing students on the self-efficacy and professional self-conception in order to provide basic information to help develop meaning and value of nursing and promote the nursing profession. Methods: This study was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design quasi-experiment where the NIE was given to the test group twice a week totaling 17 times during the period of March to May, 2011. Collected data has been analyzed using SPSS 18.0. Results: There was no significant difference in general, self efficacy and professional self concept between the two groups. Scores of the experimental group in self efficacy and professional self concept after the intervention were significantly higher than those of the control group. Conclusion: NIE has been determined to be an educational method that will positively affect self-efficacy and professional self-conception in nursing students. Nursing students who challenge themselves and strive to excel in their studies and improve their problem-solving capacity will have enhanced value and socialization as a nurse.

간호대학생의 임상실습 중 경험하는 무례함의 정도와 스트레스 대처 전략이 간호전문직관 형성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Degree of Incivility Experienced in Clinical Practice of Nursing College Students and the Stress Coping Strategy on the Formation of Nursing Professional Value)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생이 임상실습 중 경험한 무례함 정도를 조사하고 무례함, 스트레스 대처전략이 간호전문직관 형성에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 것이다. 연구대상은 총 290명을 대상으로 삼았다. 연구도구는 무례함, 스트레스 대처전략, 간호전문직관을 사용하여 측정하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS WIN 20.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 일반적 특성 중 성별, 학년, 임상실습만족도, 임상실습환경만족도, 임상실습 중 무례함을 경험한 경우에 무례함 정도에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한, 간호전문직관의 차이는 전공만족도, 임상실습만족도, 임상실습환경만족도에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 무례함은 문제해결 중심대처(r=.36), 사회적지지 중심대처(r=.26), 회피중심대처(r=.25), 간호전문직관(r=-.16)과 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 간호전문직관에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 사회적지지 추구 대처(β=.23), 임상실습 환경 만족도(β=.22), 임상실습 만족도(β=.16)로 나타났으며, 총 설명력은 14% 이었다. 본 연구의 결과는 간호대학생의 간호전문직관 형성을 위해서는 적절한 스트레스대처전략, 만족스러운 임상실습환경과 임상실습 경험이 중요함을 시사한다.

간호학생이 지각한 간호사 이미지가 전문직 사회화에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Image of Nurses on Professional Socialization Among Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: To exam image of nurses and factors on professional socialization of nursing students. Method: A descriptive study was performed and data was analysed with SPSS-PC Win(version 11.0). Image of nurses was measured by traditional-personal image and professional-social image(20 items, 5-Likert). Professional socialization was measured by revised Professional Socialization Scale(52 items, 5-Likert). A total of 135 students were participated. Result: Professional-social image showed stronger effect rather than traditional-personal image on Professional socialization. Commitment and Decision making were potent factors on traditional-personal image, and Commitment, Maturity, Independence and Decision making were statistically significant to explain professional-social image. Factors influenced positively professional socialization were job satisfaction and professional-social image. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that focus of nursing education have to shift in values and personality traits to professional-oriented value system. Results indicate the importance of encouraging professional socialization and cultivation of positive, personal self-esteem for nursing students through establishing nursing identity. Also, clinical role model was trained effectively.

간호사의 윤리적의사결정 자신감 영향요인에 대한 융합적연구 (Converged Study of Influencing Factors on Perceived Ethical Confidence in Nurses)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호사들의 윤리적의사결정 자신감, 인성, 간호전문직관 및 도덕적 민감성 정도를 분석하고, 윤리적의사결정 자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 융합적으로 파악하는 것이다. 연구대상은 D, S시 소재 종합병원에 근무하는 간호사 174명으로, 연구 자료는 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and Multiple regression을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 간호사들의 윤리적의사결정 자신감 정도는 중간정도이었으며, 인성, 간호전문직관, 도덕적 민감성과 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 윤리적의사결정 자신감에 영향을 주는 요인은 인성(${\beta}=.350$, p<.001), 간호전문직관(${\beta}=.172$, p<.001), 도덕적 민감성(${\beta}=.134$, p<.001)임을 확인하였고, 이들의 설명력은 25%이었다. 따라서 간호사의 윤리적의사결정 자신감 향상을 위해서 임상현장에서 인성, 간호전문직관 및 도덕적 민감성 향상을 위한 교육프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

간호대학생의 전문직 자아개념 영향 요인 (Factors Influencing Professional Self-Concept among Nursing Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing professional self-concept among nursing students. A descriptive survey design was used with convenience sample of 250 nursing students studying in 1 nursing college. The data were obtained from November 17 to 30, 2012 by self-reported questionnaire. The collected date were analyzed using SPSS WIN 18.0 program. The mean score for professional self-concept, self-esteem and, self-efficacy were at the intermediate level, with the value of 3.27, 3.14 and 3.78. There were moderate positive correlation between the professional self-concept and self-esteem(r=0.580, p<.001), the professional self-concept and self-efficacy (r=0.645, p<.001) and there were moderate positive correlation between self-esteem and self-efficacy(r=0.611, p<.001). The influencing factors in professional self-concept of nursing students were self esteem, self efficacy, and motivation of nursing(Adj $R^2=.479$). In order to encourage nursing college students professional self-concept, the nursing college should make efforts to develop a curriculum and program for improving self-esteem and self-efficacy.
