비접촉 평면구동기를 위한 자기 서스펜션방식 직선구동기 (A Study on the Magnetic Suspension Type Linear Actuator for a Non-contact Surface Actuator)

  • With the development of micro-technology, the demand for micro actuator is increasing. But, it is difficult to achieve high resolution and long travel range simultaneously with the conventional actuators. So, the noncontact surface actuator was proposed. This actuator can realize high dynamic range and the planar motion without complex cross-axis linear slides. This paper describes a magnetically suspended linear actuator for developing a non-contact surface actuator. The operating principle and the structure of the proposed linear actuator are similar to switched reluctance motor, but the proposed linear actuator utilizes normal force and propulsion force simultaneously. With this characteristic, the system can be simpler than other non-contact surface actuator.

  • In this paper, a new method of statistically evaluating an output response probability distribution of a memory type non-linear system is practically derived based on a zero-memory type non-linear equivalent system. That is, first, the objective system is approximately and functionally separated into two functional parts, i.e., a zero-memory type non-linear part and a memory type linear part according to the well-known Wiener's idea. A whole mathematical frame of the output probability distribution is evaluated in an approximate but generalized form, based on the equivalent zero-memory type non-linear part. The memory effects between the input and the output of the system are reflected in the statistical parameters and the expansion coefficients.

  • The effect due to group delay and non linear characteristics in high speed data satellite channel was represented in this paper. Based on the modeling of group delay and non linear characteristics the performance was analyzed in ka band satellite channel. The group delay and non-linear characteristics in high speed data transmission severely affect the system performance. The more Eb/No is required to satisfy the required system performance. The optimum operating points of HDR satellite transmission system are implemented by considering analyzed results for channel characteristics

  • In this letter, we analyze an ultra-wideband ranging system based on non-linear chirp waveforms with the ability of narrowband interference suppression. A number of non-linear chirp waveforms are proposed and evaluated by simulation. The results verify that the proposed schemes can suppress the Narrowband interference to a certain degree.

  • In the paper, one focuses on the problem of duality in non-linear programming, applied to the solution of no-tension problems by means of Limit Analysis (LA) theorems for Not Resisting Tension (NRT) models. In details, one demonstrates that, starting from the application of the duality theory to the non-linear program defined by the static theorem approach for a discrete NRT model, this procedure results in the definition of a dual problem that has a significant physical meaning: the formulation of the kinematic theorem.

  • In this study, ride sensitivity analysis of train with non-linear suspension elements is performed. Non-linear characteristics of springs and dampers for primary and secondary suspensions of a train is parameterized. Equation of motion of the train model is derived, and using the direct differentiation method, sensitivity equations are obtained. For a nominal ride quality performance index, sensitivity analysis with respect to various design parameters regarding non-linear suspension parameters is carried out.

  • The object of this study introducts simple formula being based on energy principle to investigate span truss's non-linear, and considers the relation of member's length, height rate and slenderness ratio to rise prymid truss's economic structure ability through each example.   • In this paper, geometrically non-linear finite element analyses were performed to study the mechanical behavior of the material system of the envelope of stratospheric airships. The microstructure of the load­bearing plain weave layer was identified and modeled. The Updated Lagrangian formulation was employed to consider the geometric non-linearity as well as the induced structural non-linearity for the fiber tows. The stress-strain behavior was predicted and the effective elastic modulus was calculated by numerical experiments. It was found the non-linear stress-strain curves were largely different from those by linear analysis with much higher non-linear elastic moduli. The difference was more distinguishable when the tow waviness was smaller.

  • The impact behaviour and the impact-induced damage in laminated composite cylindrical shell subjected to transverse impact by a foreign object are studied using three-dimensional non-linear transient dynamic finite element formulation. A layered version of 20 noded hexahedral element incorporating geometrical non-linearity is developed based on total Langragian approach. Non-linear system of equations resulting from non-linear strain displacement relation and non-linear contact loading are solved using Newton-Raphson incremental-iterative method. Some example problems of graphite/epoxy cylindrical shell panels are considered with variation of impactor and laminate parameters and influence of geometrical non-linear effect on the impact response and the resulting damage is investigated.

Long-term structural analysis and stability assessment of three-pinned CFST arches accounting for geometric nonlinearity

  • Due to creep and shrinkage of the concrete core, concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) arches continue to deform in the long-term under sustained loads. This paper presents analytical investigations of the effects of geometric nonlinearity on the long-term in-plane structural performance and stability of three-pinned CFST circular arches under a sustained uniform radial load. Non-linear long-term analysis is conducted and compared with its linear counterpart. It is found that the linear analysis predicts long-term increases of deformations of the CFST arches, but does not predict any long-term changes of the internal actions. However, non-linear analysis predicts not only more significant long-term increases of deformations, but also significant long-term increases of internal actions under the same sustained load. As a result, a three-pinned CFST arch satisfying the serviceability limit state predicted by the linear analysis may violate the serviceability requirement when its geometric nonlinearity is considered. It is also shown that the geometric nonlinearity greatly reduces the long-term in-plane stability of three-pinned CFST arches under the sustained load. A three-pinned CFST arch satisfying the stability limit state predicted by linear analysis in the long-term may lose its stability because of its geometric nonlinearity. Hence, non-linear analysis is needed for correctly predicting the long-term structural behaviour and stability of three-pinned CFST arches under the sustained load. The non-linear long-term behaviour and stability of three-pinned CFST arches are compared with those of two-pinned counterparts. The linear and non-linear analyses for the long-term behaviour and stability are validated by the finite element method.
