  • Credit evaluation is one of the most important and difficult tasks fur credit card companies, mortgage companies, banks and other financial institutes. Incorrect credit judgement causes huge financial losses. This work describes the use of an evolutionary-fuzzy system capable of classifying suspicious and non-suspicious credit card transactions. The paper starts with the details of the system used in this work. A series of experiments are described, showing that the complete system is capable of attaining good accuracy and intelligibility levels for real data.

  • 최근 온라인 금융서비스의 성장과 금융 기술의 급격한 발전으로 인하여 온라인에서 사용자를 등록 및 인증하기 위한 비대면 본인확인기술에 대한 다양한 접근 방법의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 일반적으로 비대면 방식은 대면방식에 비해서 많은 위협에 노출되어 있다. 따라서 최근에는 이런 위험성을 보완하고 보다 신뢰할 수 있는 비대면 본인확인 방법을 위해서 다양한 요소와 채널을 이용하여 사용자를 검증할 수 있는 정책과 기술이 연구되고 있다. 이러한 새로운 접근방법 중 하나는 다수의 사용자 개인정보를 수집하고 검증하는 기술이다. 따라서 본 논문은 사용자의 다양하고 많은 정보를 기반으로 온라인에서 본인확인을 수행하는 빅데이터 기반 비대면 본인확인 방법을 제안한다. 또한 제안방법은 서비스에서 요구하는 본인확인 등급에 필요한 사용자 정보만 수집하고 검증하는 세분화된 본인확인 정보관리 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 본 논문은 검증된 본인확인 정보를 사용자가 재사용할 수 있도록 다른 서비스 제공자들과 공유할 수 있는 본인확인 정보 공유 모델을 제안한다. 마지막으로 제안 방법이 비대면 본인확인 과정에서 강화된 사용자 검증을 통해서 서비스에서 요구하는 본인확인 등급만 검증하고 관리하는 시스템을 구현하여 실험 결과를 분석한다.

  • 우리나라의 공적개발원조는 큰 성장을 보이고 있으며, 특히 직업훈련학교에 대한 지원은 그 효익이 직접적이고 단기적으로 발생되게 되어서 수원국에 큰 효익을 안겨준 것으로 평가되고 있다. 그러나 공적개발원조에 대한 경제적 성과를 측정할 수 있는 모형이 없어서 단편적인 성과 측정에 머무르고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 개도국 직업훈련학교에 대한 공적개발원조 시 적용가능한 경제적 성과측정모형을 개발하고자 하는 것이며, 이를 위하여 재무정보를 중심으로 하는 ROI모형을 설정하고 여기에 비재무정보를 중심으로 하는 BSC를 접목하였다. 직업훈련학교는 그 효익의 대상이 명확하고 효익이 교육생의 졸업과 동시에 발생되는 특징이 있으므로, 비재무정보 보다는 재무정보 중심으로 모형을 구셩하는 것이 보다 목적적합하다고 사료된다.

우리나라 상장기업(上場企業)의 자본구조(資本構造) 결정요인(決定要因)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Determinants of Capital Structure of Korea Listed Firms)

  • The Purpose of this study is to test empirically the determinants of capital structure of the Korea Listed Firms. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, both literature survey and empirical test have been made. For the empirical test, agency and asymmetric information factors as well as traditional ones have been throughly reviewed. Traditional factors tested in this study include firm-size, collateral value of the assets, business risk, tax, non-debt tax shields, and industry effects. Agency and asymmetric information factors include growth opportunities, the percentage of outstanding equity held by inside stockholders, and the number of inside stockholders. From the results of the cross-sectional regression analysis, the adjusted R-square is 1931%, and the overall F-value indicates significance. For the analysis period, the signs of the variables except business risk are as predicted. Firm-size, collateral value of the assets, and business risk significant at the.01-.05 level. In order to determine the influence of industry factors on the financial leverage, a total of 8 dummy variables are added to the regression model. The adjusted R-square inclosed by 4.2% for the first analysis period(1983-1985) and 6% for the second analysis period(1986-1987). This suggests that industry factors are significant in explaining the variations in financial leverage across firms. In order to pursue the influence of agency and asymmetric information factors on the financial leverage, again the cross-sectional regression analysis is done for the middle size firms gruop(n=40). The adjusted R-square increased by 9.8% for the first analysis period(1983-1985) and 6.1% for the total analysis period(1983-1987), and all the signs was as predicted. But both the variables except the number of inside stockholders was not significant.

창업동기요인이 예비창업자와 기창업자의 창업성과에 미치는 영향 : 기업가정신의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The effect of entrepreneurial motivation on the entrepreneurial performance focusing on potential entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs: Mediating role of entrepreneurship)

  • 전 세계적으로 실업과 고용창출이 중요한 이슈로 부각됨에 따라, 고용률을 높이고 경제를 활성화하기 위하여 우리나라를 비롯한 많은 선진국에서는 다양한 창업활성화 정책을 수립 시행하고 있다. 창업활성화에 있어 중요한 요인은 기업가정신이므로, 예비창업자와 기창업자를 대상으로 창업동기, 기업가정신, 창업의지 및 기업성과에 관계를 규명한다면, 기업가정신을 증진시킬 수 있는 대상별 맞춤형 창업정책프로그램을 마련하는데 중요한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 창업정책수혜를 받고 있는 예비창업자와 기창업자를 대상으로 창업동기요인을 규명하고, 창업동기요인이 기업가정신과 창업의지(예비창업자) 및 기업성과(기창업자)에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 기술통계와 신뢰도분석을 실시하였으며, 타당도 검증을 위해 요인분석을 실시하였고, 상호상관성을 보기위해 상호관계를 분석하였으며, 최종 회귀분석을 통한 검증으로 요인들 간의 영향력을 분석하였다. 예비창업자의 경우, 총 202명을 대상으로 분석하였으며, 그 결과 자기효능감, 인적네트워크, 경제적요인, 정부정책은 기업가정신에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 자기효능감, 창업교육, 경제적요인, 정부정책은 창업의지에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기창업자는 총 212명을 대상으로 분석하였으며, 자기효능감, 인적네트워크, 경제적요인이 기업가정신에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 자기효능감은 재무적성과와 비재무적성과에, 창업교육은 재무적성과와 기술적성과에 인적네트워크는 비재무적성과에, 경제적요인은 재무적성과와 비재무적성과에, 정부정책은 재무적성과와 기술적성과에 각각 정의영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

유통업체의 부실예측모형 개선에 관한 연구 (Performance Evaluation and Forecasting Model for Retail Institutions)

  • Purpose - The National Agricultural Cooperative Federation of Korea and National Fisheries Cooperative Federation of Korea have prosecuted both financial and retail businesses. As cooperatives are public institutions and receive government support, their sound management is required by the Financial Supervisory Service in Korea. This is mainly managed by CAEL, which is changed by CAMEL. However, NFFC's business section, managing the finance and retail businesses, is unified and evaluated; the CAEL model has an insufficient classification to evaluate the retail industry. First, there is discrimination power as regards CAEL. Although the retail business sector union can receive a higher rating on a CAEL model, defaults have often been reported. Therefore, a default prediction model is needed to support a CAEL model. As we have the default prediction model using a subdivision of indexes and statistical methods, it can be useful to have a prevention function through the estimation of the retail sector's default probability. Second, separating the difference between the finance and retail business sectors is necessary. Their businesses have different characteristics. Based on various management indexes that have been systematically managed by the National Fisheries Cooperative Federation of Korea, our model predicts retail default, and is better than the CAEL model in its failure prediction because it has various discriminative financial ratios reflecting the retail industry situation. Research design, data, and methodology - The model to predict retail default was presented using logistic analysis. To develop the predictive model, we use the retail financial statements of the NFCF. We consider 93 unions each year from 2006 to 2012 to select confident management indexes. We also adapted the statistical power analysis that is a t-test, logit analysis, AR (accuracy ratio), and AUROC (Area Under Receiver Operating Characteristic) analysis. Finally, through the multivariate logistic model, we show that it is excellent in its discrimination power and higher in its hit ratio for default prediction. We also evaluate its usefulness. Results - The statistical power analysis using the AR (AUROC) method on the short term model shows that the logistic model has excellent discrimination power, with 84.6%. Further, it is higher in its hit ratio for failure (prediction) of total model, at 94%, indicating that it is temporally stable and useful for evaluating the management status of retail institutions. Conclusions - This model is useful for evaluating the management status of retail union institutions. First, subdividing CAEL evaluation is required. The existing CAEL evaluation is underdeveloped, and discrimination power falls. Second, efforts to develop a varied and rational management index are continuously required. An index reflecting retail industry characteristics needs to be developed. However, extending this study will need the following. First, it will require a complementary default model reflecting size differences. Second, in the case of small and medium retail, it will need non-financial information. Therefore, it will be a hybrid default model reflecting financial and non-financial information.

Asset Pricing and the Volume Effect

  • Previous literature in financial economics documents the existence of a liquidity premium in expected returns, measured by the bid-ask spread. This study provides a more comprehensive test of the egect of liquidity on common stock returns by including trading volume as an additional liquidity measure. we find that trading volume is a relevant measure of liquidity, and affects expected returns even aher controlling for the effects of systematic risk, firm size, and the relative bid-ask spread. We also find that trading volume complements the bid-ask spread as a liquidity measure, and provides additional information about the liquidity premium. The liquidity effect emerges in non-January months as a volume effect, in addition to the spread effect in January documented by Eleswarapu and Reinganum(1993).

KOSPI 상장기업의 업종별 BSC 도입효과 분석 : 주요재무 비율 및 투자규모 중심으로 (Analysis of BSC Adoption Effect by KOSPI listed Companies : Focus on Major Financial Ratios and Investment Scale)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the BSCs of 642 firms excluding the financial and insurance companies listed on KOSPI. The analysis of financial performance through analysis of major financial ratios between BSC and non-BSC firms is compared with the input of human and material resources for business growth. We will promote the spread of BSC and examine the areas differentiated performance improvement. The analytical categories are manufacturing, service, wholesale and retail, and information and communications, which are 2,136 business years out of 2,378 final analytical samples. The results of the analysis are as follows. As a result of the analysis, among the four industries analyzed, the industries that showed the best performance were manufacturing. In the case of service industry, growth and activity were lower than those of non-adoption (NA) companies, but the operating margin was significantly different from manufacturing. However, market value was higher than that of NA companies, and R&D expenditures and advertising expenses were significantly higher than NA firms. On the other hand, there was no significant difference in profitability between the BSC and NA firms, but the market value was very significant. EPS is 5.22 times, BPS is 5.64 times, PBR is 1.3 times, and EVA is 35 times higher. In addition, R&D expenditure and advertising expenditure are more than twice as high as those of NA. In the case of the service industry, there is no significant difference in the growth performance from the NA firms. Activity indicators, BSC introduced companies are three times lower than both the total assets turnover and the capital turnover rate. The operating profit margin was high at 45.8% for introduced companies and 37.2% for non-introduced companies. In market value analysis, only BPS was 1.68 times higher. On the other hand, investment in welfare expenses is 0.2% of total assets, which is relatively low compared to NA firms. However, research and development expenses and advertising expenses are 2.1% and 1.02% of total assets, respectively, but they are relatively lower than those of NA firms. Unlike the manufacturing and service industries, wholesale and retail trade was significantly higher than the NA firms in terms of sales growth and total assets growth rate. In terms of market value, EPS and BPS were significantly higher, but the benefits, R&D expenditures, and advertising expenses were lower than those of NA firms. The information and communication industry showed lower level of performance than the NA firms in all indicators except cash liquidity, BPS, and EVA.

외국인 직접투자가 에너지 집약도에 미치는 영향분석-흡수능력의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The impact of Foreign direct investment on Energy intensity: absorptive capacity as moderator)

  • 본 연구는 전 세계적으로 증가하고 있는 외국인직접투자가 현지국의 에너지 집약도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대한 분석을 목적으로 한다. 국가별로 에너지 소비와 그들이 보유한 흡수능력에 차이가 존재함에 따라 OECD와 Non-OECD 두 국가집단으로 나누어 비교하였으며, 세 가지 흡수능력인 인적자본, 금융시스템, 인프라를 중심으로 1990년부터 2011년까지의 패널데이터를 이용하여 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과에 따르면 OECD 국가의 경우 인적자본과 금융시스템이, Non-OECD 국가의 경우 인적자본과 인프라가 흡수능력으로써 FDI와 보완적인 효과를 내어 현지국의 에너지소비를 감소시킬 수 있었다. 이러한 차이가 발생하는 이유는 현지국이 보유한 흡수능력의 수준에 따라 그 발휘력 모두 다르기 때문이다. 이러한 차이를 토대로 두 국가집단들이 각각 지속가능한 경제성장을 위하여 어떠한 외국인 직접투자를 유치하여야 하는지 논의하였다.

Relationship Brand Orientation and Internal Brand Equity at Internet Service Providers: An Organization Change Readiness Effect

  • The midst competition makes a brand all together with its offering products and services is becoming a crucial element for company existence. This requires direct involvement from internal organizational to develop effective strategic branding. According to Asosiasi Penyelenggara Internet Indonesia (APJII), Indonesia's internet penetration is among the highest in Asia. The purpose of this research is to improve the strategic role of brand orientation within Internet Service Provider (ISP) for maximizing return on the company's financial and non-financial benefits by proposing organization change readiness variable. The data collection is taken using an online survey with a non-parametric sampling method and collected 68 qualified respondents for data analysis using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square). The result indicates partial hypotheses on the constructed model between variables brand orientation, brand commitment, and internal brand equity is acceptable. Another finding is stated hypotheses on organization change readiness as moderation is not accepted and means there is no significance to the constructed model. The main conclusion resumes associative human memory can shape up organization change readiness inside internal toward then brand. Relevant cues generate information received in the human brain then will create common associative and becoming social identity on internal brand equity.
