선형계산문제의 비정변형해법의 연구 (A Non-edge Following Method for Solving Linear Programs)

  • In this paper, we propose a non-edge following method for linear programs. Unlike alledged poor performance of algorithms of this type, this method performs well at least with 25 randomly generated problems. This method is comparable to Rosen's gradient projection method as applied to the dual formulation. The latter is of general purpose, and no implementation rules are available for linear program applications. This paper suggests ways of finding improving dual feasible directions, and of allowing to move across the extreme faces of a higher dimension polyhedron. Rather simple computational rules are provided for projection operations needed at each iteration.

Linear system on the fano threefold

  • Let X be a smooth projective threefold whose anticanonical division $-K_X$ is ample, i.e., Fano threefold. In this paper, we studied the linear system $$\mid$-nK_X$\mid$$ for a positive integer n. In Theorem 4, we studied the cases that $\-nK_X$\mid$$ has no base-points and the cases that $$\mid$-nK_X$\mid$$ generate the birational map. In Proposition 5, we studied the possible exceptional cases given in Theorem 4. Some results in this paper are already known, but we have gave brief proofs for those results.

  • In this paper, the radial oscillation of the solutions of higher order homogeneous linear differential equation $$f^{(k)}+A_{n-2}(z)f^{(k-2)}+{\cdots}+A_1(z)f^{\prime}+A_0(z)f=0$$ with transcendental entire function coefficients is studied. Results are obtained to extend some results in [Z. Wu and D. Sun, Angular distribution of solutions of higher order linear differential equations, J. Korean Math. Soc. 44 (2007), no. 6, 1329-1338].

  • A new version of the discrete-time optimal FIR (finite impulse response) filter utilizing only the measurements of finite sliding estimation window is suggested for linear time-invariant state-space models. This filter is called the BLUFIR (best linear unbiased finite impulse response) filter since it provides the BLUE (best linear unbiased estimate) of the state obtained from the measurements of the estimation window. It is shown that the BLUFIR filter has the deadbeat property when there are no noises in the estimation window.

  • Stability robustness of a linear time-varying system with time-varying structured state space uncertainties is considered by using extended-mean theorem and Bellman's lemma.   • In this paper, a decoupler of tandem cold rolling mill is designed. Before designing the decoupler, this paper improved conventional linear model by considering friction and yield stress of rolling strip. In a stand, the decoupler let an output be controlled by an input. And even if states of other stands should be changed, current stand takes no interference from those changes. In addition, with the same method, a feedforward controller is designed for an input strip thickness error. Finally, performance of controllers above is shown with nonlinear simulation.

BLLD 부호의 Mutual Information (The Mutual Information for Bit-Linear Linear-Dispersion Codes)

  • 이 논문은 maximum a posteriori (MAP) 비트 검출(bit detection)의 비트 오류 확률 (bit error probability: BEP)과 비트 최소 평균 제곱 오류(bit minimum mean square error: bit MMSE)사이의 관계를 유도한다. BEP는 bit MMSE의 1/4 보다 크고 1/2보다 작음을 유도한다. 이 결론을 이용하면 bit-linear linear-dispersion (BLLD) 부호를 적용한 다중 입출력 (multiple-input multiple-output: MIMO) 통신 시스템에서 가우시안 채널의 mutual information의 미분 값의 하한과 상한을 BEP로부터 얻을 수 있고 나아가서 mutual information의 하한과 상한을 구할 수 있다.

  • It is very important to test linear cycle positioning accuracy of NC lathes as it affect all other machines machined by them in industries. For example, if the linear positioning accuracy of x or z-axis directions is bad, the size of works will be wrong and the change-ability will be bad in the assembly of machine parts. In this paper , measuring systems are organized to measure linear displacement of ATC(Automatic tool changer) of NC lathe using laser interferometer, magnescale and tick pulses coming out from computer in order to get data at constant time intervals from the sensors, And each set of data gotten from test is expressed to a plots by computer treatment and the results of linear positioning error motion is estimated to numerics by statistical treatments.

  • Camera calibration is an important problem to determine the relationship between 3D real world and 2D camera image. The existing calibration methods can be classified into linear and non-linear models. The linear methods are simple and robust against noise, but the accuracy expectation is generally poor. In comparison, if the non-linearity, which is due mainly to lens distortion, is corrected, the accuracy can be better. However, as the optical features of lens are diverse, no non-linear method can be always effective for diverse vision systems. In this paper, we propose a new approach to correct the calibration error of a linear method using GMDH algorithm. The proposed technique is simple in concept and showed improved accuracy in various cases.

  • Linear motor is very rapidly substituted for rotary motor and ball screw for precision positioning applications because of its characteristics such as high speed, no backlash and simplicities. A precision positioning system which is composed of linear motion(LM) guide and linear motor is widely used since it has easy controllable property but this system has low accuracy problem caused by friction of the LM guide. In this study, a scanning type XY stage is manufactured and some experiments is performed to improve the accuracy of the stage.
