Nicoseal(Fe-29Ni-17Co) 합금의 Cyclic 크리프 특성 (Cyclic Creep Properties of Nicoseal(Fe-29Ni-17Co) Alloy)

  • The steady state cyclic mechanism, and the behaviour of Nicoseal(Fe-29Ni-17Co) have been examined under the condition of square wave stress cyclic tension creep test at the temperature, stress and frequency range of $430{\sim}470^{\circ}C$($0.41{\sim}0.43T_m$), 353~383 MPa, and 3 cpm, respectively. Also, the relationship between cyclic creep and static creep have been examined. The stress exponents(n) for the static creep deformation of this alloy were 11.6, 10.0, 8.4 and 7.9 at the temperature of 430, 445, 460 and $470^{\circ}C$, respectively. The apparent activation energies (Q) for the static creep deformation were 54.2, 51.8, 49.7 and 46.8 kcal/mole for the stress of 353, 363, 373 and 383 MPa, From the above results, it could be considered that the cyclic creep accelaration phenomena was obtained and that the cyclic deformation for Nicoseal seemed to be controlled by dislocation climb over the range of experimental conditions. Nicoseal alloy under the cyclic creep conditions was obtained as P=(T+460)(logt+17). The failure plane observed by SEM showed up transgranular fracture at all range.

설파민산 니켈-코발트 합금도금 박막 물성에 대한 실험 연구 (A Study on Properties of Electrodeposited Nickel-Cobalt Alloy Films from Sulfamate Solution)

  • The electrodeposition of Ni-Co alloy from a sulfamate bath was investigated. The cobalt content in the Ni-Co deposits is more influenced by the temperature or stirring effect than the current density in the process parameters. As cobalt contents in the Ni-Co deposited layer increased from 0 wt.% up to 43 wt.%, hardness value of the layer rised from 400 Hv up to 700 Hv and crystal orientation (111) increased. However, (200) and crystal size significantly reduced. The tensile and yield strength also increased, while the modulus of elasticity showed the maximum value of $10.4N/mm^2$ at 29 wt.%.

  • Effect of nickel powder to added to the hydrogen absorbing alloy electrode of $MmNi_{4.5}-xCoxMn_{0.3}Al_{0.2}$ system alloy was investigated. The addition of nickel powder was effective for the improvement of discharging characteristic. It was found that the discharge capacity was 310mAhig when the alloy negative electrode was mixed $MmNi_{3.75}CO_{0.75}Mn_{0.3}Al_{0.2}$ and nickel powder with a mix of one to three. Still another, we have investigated thermodynamic stability of hydrogen in the alloy negative electrode. As a result, enthalpy of hydrogen and hydrogen equilibrium pressure in the alloy negative electrode were a suitable value to easy hydrogen absorption-desorption.

Study on Anomalous Codeposition Phenomenon of CoNi Magnetic Films

  • CoNi alloy films prepared from electrolytes with various concentrations of cobalt ions were studied in the paper. Influences of different cobalt ions concentrations on electrochemistry processes, components, microstructures, surface morphologies and magnetic properties of CoNi films were investigated. It was found that CoNi film plating was a kind of anomalous codeposition process. The percentage of cobalt content in CoNi films was higher than that of in the electrolyte. Moreover, with the rise of cobalt ions concentrations, the percentage of cobalt content in the samples increased gradually. CoNi films possessed crystal structures with four stronger diffraction peaks. However, CoNi films prepared from bath with higher cobalt ions possessed hcp structures which contributed to dendrite structures resulting in the increase of coercivity.

  • Effects of alloy modification for the $Zr_{0.7}Ti_{0.3}V_{0.4}Ni_{1.2}Mn_{0.4}$ alloy as an electrode materials have been investigated. When Ti in the alloy was partially substituted by Zr, the hydrogen storage capacity and subsequently the discharge capacity increased significantly, however, the activation characteristic and rate capability decreased. By substituting Mn with other elements (Cr, Co and Fe) in the alloy, discharge capacity decreased but the cycle life and rate capability were improved. Considering both the discharge capacity, the high rate discharge property and cycle life, the $Zr_{0.7}Ti_{0.3}V_{0.4}Ni_{1.2}Mn_{0.3}Cr_{0.1}$ alloy among the alloys subjected to the test was found to be a prominent alloy for a practical usage.

연마방법에 따른 금속의 활택도에 관한 연구 - Atomic Force Microscope를 이용한 - (A STUDY ON SURFACE ROUGHNESS OF METALS ACCORDING TO FINISHING AND POLISHING PROCEDURES - AN ATOMIC FORCE MICROSCOPE ANALYSIS -)

  • The surface of metals should be as smooth as possible for optimum comfort, oral hygiene, low plaque retention, and resistance to corrosion. In this study five specimens of each precious metal(type III gold alloy, ceramic gold alloy, and Ag-Pd alloy) were divided into five groups according to finishing and polishing procedures : group 1(sandblaster), group 2(group 1+stone), group 3(group 2+brown rubber), group 4(group 3+green rubber), and group 5(group 4+rouge). Six specimens of each non-precious metal(Co-Cr alloy, Ni-Cr alloy, and Co-Cr-Ti alloy) were divided into six groups: group 1(sandblaster), group 2(group 1+hard stone), group 3(group 2+electrolytic polisher), group 4(group 3+brown hard rubber point), group 5(group 4+green hard rubber point), and group 6(group 5+rouge). Considering factors affecting the rate of abrasion, the same dentist applied each finishing and polishing procedure. In addition, the surface roughness of enamel, resin, and porcelain was evaluated. The effect of finishing and polishing procedures on surface roughness of precious and non-precious metals, enamel, resin, and porcelain was evaluated by means of Atomic Force Microscope(AutoProbe CP. Park Scientific Instruments, U.S.A.) that can image the three dimensional surface profile and measure average surface roughness values of each sample at the same time. The obtained results were as follows : 1. According to finishing and polishing procedures, the surface roughness of type III gold alloy, ceramic gold alloy, and Ag-Pd alloy was decreased in the order of group 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 (P<0.01). 2. According to finishing and polishing procedures. the surface roughness of Co-Cr alloy, Ni-Cr alloy, and Co-Cr-Ti alloy was decreased in the order of group 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 (p<0.01). 3. There was not statistically significant difference in the surface roughness among three metals of precious metals in group 1 but was significant difference in group 2, 3, 4, and 5 (P<0.05). 4. There was not statistically significant difference in the surface roughness among three metals of non-precious metals in all groups. 5. When the surface roughness of the smoothest surface of each metal, enamel. porcelain, and resin was compared, porcelain was the smoothest and the surface roughness was decreased in the order of Ni-Cr alloy. Co-Cr alloy. Co-Cr-Ti alloy, resin. Ag-Pd alloy, ceramic gold alloy type III gold alloy, and enamel (P<0.01). The results of this study indicate that the finishing and polishing procedures should be carried out in a logical, systematic sequence of steps and the harder non-precious metals may be less resistance to abrasion than are the softer precious metals.

  • The CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloy (HEA), which is the most widely known HEA with a single face-centered cubic structure, has attracted significant academic attention over the past decade owing to its outstanding multifunctional performance. Recent studies have suggested that CoCrFeMnNi-type HEAs exhibit excellent printability for selective laser melting (SLM) under a wide range of process conditions. Moreover, it has been suggested that SLM can not only provide great topological freedom of design but also exhibit excellent mechanical properties by overcoming the strength-ductility trade-off via producing a hierarchical heterogeneous microstructure. In this regard, the SLM-processed CoCrFeMnNi HEA has been extensively studied to comprehensively understand the mechanisms of microstructural evolution and resulting changes in mechanical properties. In this review, recent studies on CoCrFeMnNi-type HEAs produced using SLM are discussed with respect to process-induced microstructural evolution and the relationship between hierarchical heterogeneous microstructure and mechanical properties.

도재소부용 Ni-Cr-Mo계 치과용 합금의 미세조직 및 기계적성질 (Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Ni-Cr-Mo Based Dental Cast Iron for Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal Firing)

  • The microstructure, mechanical properties and melting range of Ni-Cr-Mo based alloys were investigated to develop Be-free Ni-Cr-Mo base dental alloys for Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal Firing(PFM). All as-cast alloys showed dendritic structure. Rockwell hardness of 20Cr7Mo was increased with addition of Si and Ti. On the contrary, it was decreased with addition of Co. The duplex alloying elemental addition such as 3Co + xTi, 2Si + xCo and 2Si + xTi to 20Cr7Mo resulted in much increase of hardness. Rockwell hardness and compressive strength for 20Cr3CoSiTi or 17Cr6CoSiTi alloy that add Si-Ti had similar values compared to the commercial alloys. Melting range for 20Cr3CoSiTi and 17Cr6CoSiTi alloy that add Si-Ti showed similar or lower than commercial alloys. In conclusion, 20Cr3CoSiTi and 17Cr6CoSiTi alloys can be applied for commercial use.

Co-Ni-P합금도금층의 자기적 성질에 관한 연구 (Magnetic Properties of Electrodeposited Co-Ni-P Alloys)

  • Co-Ni-P alloys were electrodeposited from NH4Cl-sulfate-hypophosphite baths under various plating conditions. Their effective anisotropic magnetic field which is one of the important properties for magnetic recording materials were investigated as the function of alloy compositions and c-axis orientation. The preferred orientation and the contents of Ni and P depend on the pH of solutions and also on the current density. It was found that the alloy films deposited from the solutions of pH4 at high current density had c-axis orientation parallel to the growth direction and the effective anisotropic fields sufficient for perpendicular magnetic recording application.

실리카 지지 루테늄-니켈 합금에 있어서 일산화탄소의 흡착에 관한 IR 연구 (IR Study on the Adsorption of Carbon Monoxide on Silica Supported Ruthenium-Nickel Alloy)

  • 실리카($SiO_{2}$)지지 루테늄-니켈(Ru/Ni) 합금에 있어서 Ru/Ni 몰함량비와 일산화탄소(CO)의 분압의 변화에 따른 CO의 흡착 및 탈착거동에 대한 연구를 FT-IR을 이용하여 수행하였다. $Ru-SiO_{2}$ 시료에 CO를 흡착시켰을 때 $2080.0cm^{-1}$, $2021.0{\sim}2030.7cm^{-1}$, $1778.9{\sim}1799.3cm^{-1}$, $1623.8cm^{-1}$의 위치에 네 흡수띠가 관찰되었고 진공탈착시 $2138.7cm^{-1}$, $2069.3cm^{-1}$, $1988.3{\sim}2030.7cm^{-1}$의 위치에 세 흡수띠가 관찰되었다. $Ni-SiO_2$ 시료에 CO를 흡착시켰을 때 $2057.7cm^{-1}$, $2019.1{\sim}2040.3cm^{-1}$, $1862.9{\sim}1868.7cm^{-1}$, $1625.7cm^{-1}$의 위치에 네 흡수띠가 관찰되었고, 진공탈착 시켰을 때 $2009.5{\sim}2040.3cm^{-1}$, $1828.4{\sim}1868.7cm^{-1}$의 위치에 두 흡수띠가 관찰되었다. $Ru-SiO_{2}$ 시료와 $Ni-SiO_{2}$ 시료에서 관찰된 IR 스펙트럼은 이전의 보고와 근사적으로 일치한다. Ru/Ni(9/1, 8/2, 7/3, 6/4, 5/5; 몰 함량비)-$SiO_{2}$ 시료에서는 CO를 흡착시켰을 때 $2001.8{\sim}2057.7cm^{-1}$, $1812.8{\sim}1926.5cm^{-1}$, $1623.8{\sim}1625.7cm^{-1}$의 위치에 세 흡수띠가 관찰되었으며, 진공탈착시 $2140.6cm^{-1}$, $2073.1cm^{-1}$, $1969.0{\sim}2057.7cm^{-1}$의 위치에 세 흡수띠가 관찰되었다. Ru/Ni-$SiO_{2}$ 시료에서 CO를 흡착시켰을 때 Ru/Ni의 몰 함량비가 9/1 경우 관찰된 IR 스펙트럼의 모양이 $Ru-SiO_{2}$ 시료에서 CO를 흡착시켰을 때의 모양과 거의 같음이 관찰되었고 Ru/Ni의 몰 함량비가 8/2 보다 작아지면 관찰된 IR 스펙트럼의 모양이 $Ni-SiO_{2}$ 시료에서 CO를 흡착시켰을 때의 모양과 거의 같다. 따라서 Ru/Ni-$SiO_{2}$ 시료 표면에 존재하는 합금 뭉치의 표면에 몰 함량비보다 니켈이 많이 존재한다는 추정이 가능하다. $SiO_{2}$ 지지 Ru/Ni 시료에서 조성의 변화에 따른 CO 흡수띠 파수의 이동을 $SiO_{2}$ 표면에 분산되어 있는 합금뭉치 표면의 조성, 합금뭉치 표면의 조성에 따른 Ru과 Ni 원자의 원자 크기의 차이로 인한 합금뭉치 표면에서 스트레인의 변화, 합금뭉치 표면에서 결합에너지와 전자밀도분포 변화, 합금뭉치 표면에서 표면구조의 변화와 관련이 있음은 분명하다. Ru/Ni 합금결정 표면에서 CO 흡착에 대한 LEED 및 Auger를 이용한 연구, 실리카겔과 Ru/Ni 합금 뭉치와의 상호작용, Ru/Ni 합금 표면에서 CO 흡착에 대한 MO 계산 등의 연구가 진전되어 진다면 이러한 복잡계에 대한 규명에 도움이 될 것으로 보인다.
