We successfully developed new photo-alignment materials which can be treated with linearly polarized UV (LPUV) light in near UV region. The alignment films were also shown to provide with surface anchoring as strong as that on rubbed polyimide when exposed to the LPUV light with warming up the substrate. It can be also able to control pretilt angle by introduction of alkyl side chain.

Erwinia amylovora is a causative pathogen of fire blight disease, affecting apple, pear, and other rosaceous plants. Currently, management of fire blight relies on cultural and chemical practices, whereas it has been known that few biological resources exhibit disease control efficacy against the fire blight. In the current study, we found that an SFC20201208-M01 fungal isolate exhibits antibacterial activity against E. amylovora TS3128, and the isolate was identified as a Penicillium brasilianum based on the 𝛽-tubulin (BenA) gene sequence. To identify active compounds from the P. brasilianum culture, the culture filtrate was partitioned with ethyl acetate and n-butanol sequentially. From the ethyl acetate layer, we identified two new compounds (compounds 3-4) and two known compounds (compounds 1-2) based on spectroscopic analyses and comparison with literature data. Of these active compounds, penicillic acid (1) exhibited promising antibacterial activity against E. amylovora TS3128 with a minimal inhibitory concentration value of 25 ㎍/ml. When culture filtrate and penicillic acid (125 ㎍/ml) were applied onto Chinese pearleaf crab apple seedlings prior to inoculation of E. amylovora TS3128, the development of fire blight disease was effectively suppressed in the treated plants. Our results provide new insight into the biocontrol potential of P. brasilianum SFC20201208-M01 with an active ingredient to control fire blight.

In this study, carbothermal reduction method was employed to synthesis Sn-Sb alloy powders from chief metal oxides with ultrafine sizes. The Sn-Sb powders consisting of ultrafine particles were formed at $800{\sim}900^{\circ}C$ by reduction of oxides. Those powders have high initial discharge capacities ($570{\sim}637\;mAh/g$) and discharge capacities of those powders maintain initial capacity after 20 cycle due to existence of ultrafine particles in powders and alloying effect of Sn-Sb.
In this research, an efficient mixed mode I/II fracture criterion is developed for fracture investigation of orthotropic materials wherein crack is placed along the fibers. This criterion is developed based on extension of well-known Maximum Tensile Stress (MTS) criterion in conjunction with a novel material model titled as Equivalent Reinforced Isotropic Model (ERIM). In this model, orthotropic material is replaced with an isotropic matrix reinforced with fibers. A comparison between available experimental observations and theoretical estimation implies on capability of developed criterion for predicting both crack propagation direction and fracture instance, wherein the achieved fracture limit curves are also compatible with fracture mechanism of orthotic materials. It is also shown that unlike isotropic materials, fracture toughness of orthotic materials in mode $I(K)_{IC}{\mid})$ cannot be introduced as the maximum load bearing capacity and thus new fracture mechanics property, named here as maximum orthotropic fracture toughness in mode $I(K_{IC}{\mid}^{ortho}_{max})$ is defined. Optimum angle between crack and fiber direction for maximum load bearing in orthotropic materials is also defined.

The hyper-eutectic Mg-33.5%Ni alloy was rapidly solidified by melt spinning process. The melt-spun Mg-33.5%Ni has amorphous structure and crystallization occurred above $162^{\circ}C$. The hydriding and dehydriding rates of melt-spun Mg-33.5%Ni increased with cycle and high rate of hydrogen storage occurred at 3rd cycle. The maximum hydrogen amount absorbed in melt-spun Mg-33.5%Ni at $300^{\circ}C$ is about 4.5%.

The paper presents the possibilities of obtaining new composite materials based on sintered porous ceramics with particles and fibre of $Al_2O_3$ infiltrated by aluminum alloy. The EN AC - AlSi12 alloy features the matrix material, whereas the RF50AX-301 preform, of Saffil Automotive, was used as the reinforcement. Examinations of ceramics preforms permeability were made. Metallographic examination of composite materials made on light microscope and in scanning electron microscope show that aluminum alloys fill micropores in the matrix. New composite materials show twice higher value of hardness in comparison with matrix. Results indicate that it is possible to infiltrate porous ceramic with liquid aluminum alloy to obtain new composite materials were advantageous properties of each component are connected.
The globally used PV qualification tests and reports the pass/fail only. Therefore, the reliability of new PV materials and parts can't be compared quantitatively with the reliability of the PV parts and materials in the market. Global PV materials and parts companies test and compare their materials, parts, and modules using the failure-to-test (FTT). However, it takes a long accelerated stress test (AST) until failure. It also needs to test the new and existing materials and parts. Therefore, it requires excessive equipment time and cost. In order to reduce the time and cost, a new reliability enhancement methodology has been developed. It tests the PV materials, parts, and modules in the global market and stores them in the PV reliability database. It reduces the time and cost of the comparison and enhancement of PV reliability. An example of the reliability enhancement of the PV encapsulant, EVA is presented.
The purpose of this study was intended to analyze artistic formativeness represented in the modern fashion design materials. Nowadays the modern fashion design materials is characterized by variety. The fashion materials the most important of fashion is called a softwear in textile industry and emerged as a new field. Fashion design also escaped from the tra-ditional restraint and extended to pursue lib-eral clothes and the designer's creative inten-tion has resulted in conceptual and conven-tional alteration as a new mode of plastic ex-preseeion. As a results of analysis of the formative fea-ture of Art style represented in the modern fashion design materials. First Surrealism had been searching for a new way of confronting a social and rtistic environment that was stifling and repugnant to them. Accordingly the wide applicaytion of the various object due to the thought of Sur-realism through the modern fashion materials brought the diversification and individua-lization of the modern fashion design. Second Pop Art that is made modern mech-anic culture and commercialism brought the great transformation in the history of Art out of the existing style and the sense of ex-pression. And the plastic characteristics of Pop Art that has a gravity as modern fashion materials on a them of the elements of popular consumer's society. That is the common and cheap objects were introduced into fashion materials itself or pat-tern. Third Minimalism is a trend in art att-empting to seek essence of the object by presenting simple and disciplined expressions by minimal formative means. The features of external form are simplicity clarity unrelated composition and symmetrical structure. Mini-malism was a quest for basic elements repre-senting the fundamental esthetic values of art. The minimal expression in modern fashion materials mean fabrics with simple surface and is contained using simple geometric pattern or utilizing textiles without any patterns. Fourth Eroticism is a kind of psychological revolution in the development of human civilization and is deeply rooted in the cultural tradition of myth religion customs and art. So Eroticism must be distinguished from a mere animal reproduction. These erotic char-acteristics were holded the meanings of sexu-ality through the modern fashion materials. Especially it was expressed the sexual part of body was nakedly showed through trans-parent materials or semitransparent like metalic and opaque materials. Recently the various kinds of new materials such as paper vinyle plastic metal as well as human body were applied to new fashion de-sign. First of all the new materials will give modern fashion designers stimuli and inspi-ration. It can also express values of moderners to despise materialism and uniformed modern society and to recover humanity and self-actualization.
These days there are plenty of studies that predict a future with rapid technological development. The development of new technology also has greatly changed the fashion industry. Materials were developed with a variety of techniques, and recently as the exterior and property of materials have been brought into focus, regarding images as a trend of fashion. The purpose of this study is to consider the kinds and characteristics of diverse future materials developed by high technological advancement and to present a new course for future materials by analyzing the formative characteristics of future fashion with future materials. The methods of this work are an examination by reference to theoretical study about the conceptions of futurism in fashion and a visual analysis of the materials in picture data. Another topic of study was the positive source of future fashion that actually applies to these materials. The study makes an analysis of future characteristics expressed in modern fashion, looking at the background and developmental course of futurism. It considers the conception, types and characteristics of diverse new flexible materials such as metal, non-woven fabric, Styrofoam, rubber, glass fiber and polished fiber. With all of these works, we would like to express the course for the development of coming future fashion and the potential of an appropriate union between sensitivity and science.
