In this paper, in order to overcome the disadvantage of wireless-based sensor network, a hybrid sensor network using wired and wireless linkage is proposed. Proposed a wired and wireless linkage hybrid sensor network can compensate the defect of poor transmission at the indoor wireless environment, and can be free from interference between a wireless LAN and Bluetooth of the same frequency bandwidth due to an attribute of low-loss transmission at the CATV network. Also, proposed a wired and wireless linkage hybrid sensor network make use of CATV network which is well-built infrastructure, is more efficient to design network, assure a stability and high reliability of the sensor network as providing a stability for an inaccuracy and a predictable transmission link for the existing wireless network.

This paper provides a new approach to analyze the stability of a general multi-link TCP Vegas, which is a kind of feedback-based congestion algorithm. Whereas the conventional approaches use the approximately linearized model of the TCP Vegas along equilibrium pints, this approach models a multi-link TCP Vegas network in the form of a piecewise linear multiple time-delay system. And then, based on the exactly characterized dynamic model, this paper presents a new stability criterion via a piecewise and multiple delay-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii function. Especially, the resulting stability criterion is formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs).
This paper provides a new approach to analyze the stability of TCP Vegas, which is a kind of feedback-based congestion control algorithm. Whereas the conventional approaches use the approximately linearized model of the TCP Vegas along equilibrium points, this approach uses the exactly characterized dynamic model to get a new stability criterion via a piecewise and delay-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii function. Especially, the resulting stability criterion is formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Using the new criterion, this paper shows that the current TCP Vegas algorithm is stable in the sufficiently wide region of network delay and link capacity.
This paper presents a functional ability improvement of auto-reclosing relay in the power transmission line protection. When the high speed auto-reclosing is successful, Auto-reclosing is practically valuable to improve the transient stability limit of a power system, but it is fail due to surviving fault, both electrical and mechanical stresses can result on the transformers and turbine-generator. It is true that the longer dead time of the reclosing relay gives the higher rate of successful reclosing, On the other hand, the power system does not always need high speed reclosing because of enough stability margin. This paper proposed "stability margin based dead time reclosing" in order to decrease not only the rate of unsuccessful reclosing, but the possibility of the harmful stress also. On-line transient stability assessment using artificial neural network, for implementing the proposed scheme, has studied and tested with resonable results.
This paper presents a new design methodology of networked control system using CAN(Controller Area Network). Feedback control systems having control loops closed through a network are called networked control systems. We design CAN nodes which can transmit control and monitoring data through network bus and apply these to networked control system design. We analyze the variation of stability property according to network-induced delay and determine a proper sampling period of networked control system that preserves stability performance. The results of the experimental example validate effectiveness of our networked control system.
Online voltage stability monitoring using real-time measurements is one of the most important tasks in a smart grid system to maintain the grid stability. Loading margin is a good indicator for assessing the voltage stability level. This paper presents an Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) approach for estimation of voltage stability level under credible contingencies using real-time measurements from Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs). PMUs enable a much higher data sampling rate and provide synchronized measurements of real-time phasors of voltages and currents. Depth First (DF) algorithm is used for optimally placing the PMUs. To make the ELM approach applicable for a large scale power system problem, Mutual information (MI)-based feature selection is proposed to achieve the dimensionality reduction. MI-based feature selection reduces the number of network input features which reduces the network training time and improves the generalization capability. Voltage magnitudes and phase angles received from PMUs are fed as inputs to the ELM model. IEEE 30-bus test system is considered for demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed methodology for estimating the voltage stability level under various loading conditions considering single line contingencies. Simulation results validate the suitability of the technique for fast and accurate online voltage stability assessment using PMU data.
Nanofluids have recently triggered a substantial scientific interest as cooling media. However, their stability is challenging for successful engagement in industrial applications. Different factors, including temperature, nanoparticles and base fluids characteristics, pH, ultrasonic power and frequency, agitation time, and surfactant type and concentration, determine the nanofluid stability regime. Indeed, it is often too complicated and even impossible to accurately find the conditions resulting in a stabilized nanofluid. Furthermore, there are no empirical, semi-empirical, and even intelligent scenarios for anticipating the stability of nanofluids. Therefore, this study introduces a straightforward and reliable intelligent classifier for discriminating among the stability regimes of alumina-water nanofluids based on the Zeta potential margins. In this regard, various intelligent classifiers (i.e., deep learning and multilayer perceptron neural network, decision tree, GoogleNet, and multi-output least squares support vector regression) have been designed, and their classification accuracy was compared. This comparison approved that the multilayer perceptron neural network (MLPNN) with the SoftMax activation function trained by the Bayesian regularization algorithm is the best classifier for the considered task. This intelligent classifier accurately detects the stability regimes of more than 90% of 345 different nanofluid samples. The overall classification accuracy and misclassification percent of 90.1% and 9.9% have been achieved by this model. This research is the first try toward anticipting the stability of water-alumin nanofluids from some easily measured independent variables.

Networked control systems(NCSs) have gained increasing attention in recent years due to their advantages and potential applications. The network Quality-of-Service(QoS) in NCSs always fluctuates due to changes of the traffic load and available network resources. To handle the network QoS variations problem, this paper presents an intelligent scheduling control method for NCSs, where the sampling period and the control parameters are simultaneously scheduled to compensate the effect of QoS variation on NCSs performance. For NCSs with network-induced delays and packet dropouts, a discrete-time switch model is proposed. By defining a sampling-period-dependent Lyapunov function and a common quadratic Lyapunov function, the stability conditions are derived for NCSs in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Based on the obtained stability conditions, the corresponding controller design problem is solved and the performance optimization problem is also investigated. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

A new parameter adaptation scheme for RBF Neural Network (NN) has been developed in this paper. Even though the RBF Neural Network (NN) based controllers are robust against both un-modeled dynamics and external disturbances, the performance is not satisfactory for a fast and precise mobile robot. To improve the tracking performance as well as robustness, all the parameters of RBF NN are updated in real time. The stability of this control law is rigorously proved by following the Lyapunov stability theory and shown by the experimental simulations. The fact that all of the weighting factors, width and center of RBF NN have been updated implies that this scheme utilizes all the possibilities in RBF NN to make the controller robust and precise while the mobile robot is following un-known trajectories. The performance of this new algorithm has been compared to the conventional RBF NN controller where some of the parameters are adjusted for robustness.

We present proofs of the stability and convergence of Self-organizing feature map (SOFM) neural network with time-invarient learning rate and binary reinforcement function. One of the major problems in Self-organizing feature map neural network concerns with learning rate-"Kalman Filter" gain in stochsatic control field which is monotone decreasing function and converges to 0 for satisfying minimum variance property. In this paper, we show that the stability and convergence of Self-organizing feature map neural network with time-invariant learning rate. The analysis of the proposed algorithm shows that the stability and convergence is guranteed with exponentially stable and weak convergence properties as well.s as well.
