용탕단조법에 의한 AC4A/$SiC_w$복합재교 제조에 관한 연구(ll)-가압력 및 시효특성- (Fabrication of AC4A/$SiC_w$composite by squeeze casting(II))

  • 자동차용 부품재 및 일반산업용 재료로 사용되고 있는 AC4A Al합금에 $SiC_{w}$ preform을 용탕단조법으로 강화시킨 복합재료의 시효 경화능은 SiC/aub w/30%> 10%> 20%의 순이며, 이는 $100^{\circ}C$-$400^{\circ}C$까지의 등시시효에서도 같은 결과를 나타낸다. 복합재의 T6처리재가 AC4A I/M재 보다도 시효경화능이 크고 절대값이 높았으며 $SiC_{w}$체적분율 증가에 따라 초기경화 현상을 나타내었다. 가압력에 의한 강화효과는 미시효때와 같이 가압력 75MPa일때 가장 좋았으며, $SiC_{w}$는 30%> 10%>20%순이었다. 가압력이 낮을경우 가입과 동시에 휘스커는 파단되지 않고 원래의 형상을 유지하거나 기지금속과 wetting으로 일부 변형된 다음 가압이 진행되면서 이부부의 응력 집중으로 wetting부가 파단하게 되어 가압력을 이기지 못하고 파단하게 되어 휘스커 모양도 다각형이거나 구형에 가깝게 되며 가압이 진행됨에따라 재차 파단되므로써 길이도 짧게 된다. 한편 가압력 75 MPa일 경우 휘스커의 형상은 일부 변형된 것과 잘게 파손된 것이 고르게 공존하고 있어 강화효과가 가장 우수한 것으로 사료된다.

아연-이온 하이브리드 슈퍼커패시터를 위한 보론 도핑된 활성탄의 제조 (Fabrication of Boron-Doped Activated Carbon for Zinc-Ion Hybrid Supercapacitors)

  • Zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors (ZICs) have recently been spotlighted as energy storage devices due to their high energy and high power densities. However, despite these merits, ZICs face many challenges related to their cathode materials, activated carbon (AC). AC as a cathode material has restrictive electrical conductivity, which leads to low capacity and lifetime at high current densities. To overcome this demerit, a novel boron (B) doped AC is suggested herein with improved electrical conductivity thanks to B-doping effect. Especially, in order to optimize B-doped AC, amounts of precursors are regulated. The optimized B-doped AC electrode shows a good charge-transfer process and superior electrochemical performance, including high specific capacity of 157.4 mAh g-1 at current density of 0.5 A g-1, high-rate performance with 66.6 mAh g-1 at a current density of 10 A g-1, and remarkable, ultrafast cycling stability (90.7 % after 10,000 cycles at a current density of 5 A g-1). The superior energy storage performance is attributed to the B-doping effect, which leads to an excellent charge-transfer process of the AC cathode. Thus, our strategy can provide a rational design for ultrafast cycling stability of next-generation supercapacitors in the near future.

Obstacle Avoidance for Unmanned Air Vehicles Using Monocular-SLAM with Chain-Based Path Planning in GPS Denied Environments

  • Detecting obstacles and generating a suitable path to avoid obstacles in real time is a prime mission requirement for UAVs. In areas, close to buildings and people, detecting obstacles in the path and estimating its own position (egomotion) in GPS degraded/denied environments are usually addressed with vision-based Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) techniques. This presents possibilities and challenges for the feasible path generation with constraints of vehicle dynamics in the configuration space. In this paper, a near real-time feasible path is shown to be generated in the ORB-SLAM framework using a chain-based path planning approach in a force field with dynamic constraints on path length and minimum turn radius. The chain-based path plan approach generates a set of nodes which moves in a force field that permits modifications of path rapidly in real time as the reward function changes. This is different from the usual approach of generating potentials in the entire search space around UAV, instead a set of connected waypoints in a simulated chain. The popular ORB-SLAM, suited for real time approach is used for building the map of the environment and UAV position and the UAV path is then generated continuously in the shortest time to navigate to the goal position. The principal contribution are (a) Chain-based path planning approach with built in obstacle avoidance in conjunction with ORB-SLAM for the first time, (b) Generation of path with minimum overheads and (c) Implementation in near real time.

한국인의 양안 시기능 이상에 관한 고찰 (Prevalence of binocular anomalies in adult Koreans)

  • 한국인 성인 남자 41명, 여자 60명을 대상으로 굴절이상과 양안시 이상을 검사한 결과 근방 수평사위 46%, 근방내전 이상 52.5%, 근방외전 이상 55.5%, AC/C(Accommodative convergence/Accommodation)이상 50.4%, PRA (Positive relative accommodation) 이상 61.4%, NRA(Negative relative accommodation) 이상 54.5%를 차지했다. 또한 양안 시기능검사 결과를 모간 분석에 의해 분석한 결과 폭주이상 21.7%, 조절이상 29.7%, 조절과 폭주이상 34.6%로 나타났다.

4.16kV 및 6.6kV 전동기 고정자 권선의 절연열화 판정기준 (Judgement Criterion of Insulation Deterioration in 4.16kV and 6.6kV Motor Stator Windings)

  • To assess the condition of stator insulation, nondestructive tests were performed on twenty five coil groups and twenty six motors. The stator windings has nominal ratings of 6.6kV and are classified into five coil groups ;one group with healthy insulation and four groups with four different types of artificial defects. After completing nondestructive tests, the AC voltage applied to the stator windings was gradually increasing until insulation failure in order to obtain the breakdown voltage. No.1, No.2 and No.6 of 6.6kV motors failed near rated voltage of 14kV, 8.7kV and 14kV, respectively. The breakdown voltage of three motors was lower that expected for good quality coils(14.2kV) in 6.6kV motors. No.3 and No.6 of 4.16kV motors failed near rated voltage of 5.6kV and 4.2kV, respectively. Almost all of failures were located in a line-end coil at the exit from the core slot. The breakdown voltages and the types of defects showed strong relation to the stator insulation tests such as in the case of AC current, dissipation factor(tan${\delta}$) and partial discharge magnitude.

  • In this work, the effect of annealing on physical and electrical properties of XLPE cable insulation was investigated. One sample was non-annealed and the other two samples were treated under air circulated oven at 80$^{\circ}C$ for five and ten days. In the DSC patterns of annealed specimen, new peaks appeared at near 80$^{\circ}C$ as a proof of thermal history. The degree of crystallinity increased by annealing effect. In the FT-IR spectrums, the change of absorbances to acetophenone and cumyl alcohol were observated according to the radial direction of cable insulation. They slowly diffused into both semi-conductive layer of the cable in proportion to annealing time and lastly led to near equilibrium state through cable insulation. The AC breakdown strength did not increased but the values were stabilized by effects of crystallinity and diffusion of by-products.

  • The renewable energy source is considered as a good measure to cope with the global warming problem and the fossil energy exhaustion. The construction of electric power plant such as an offshore wind farm is rapidly increasing and this trend is expected to be continued during this century. The bulky and long distance power transmission media is essential to support and promote the sustainable expansion of renewable energy source. DC power cable is generally considered as the best solution and the demand for DC electric power has been rapidly increasing. Especially, the high temperature superconducting (HTS) DC cable system begins to make a mark because of its advantages of huge power transmission capacity, low transmission loss and other environmental friendly aspects. Technical contents of DC HTS cable system are very similar to those of AC HTS cable system. However the DC HTS cable can be operated near its critical current if the heat generation is insignificant, while the operating current of AC HTS cable is generally selected at about 50~70% of the critical current because of AC loss. We chose the specifications of the cable core of 'Tres Amigas' project as an example for our study and investigated the heat generation when the DC HTS cable operated near the critical current by some electric and thermal analyses. In this paper, we listed some technical issues on the design of the DC HTS cable core and described the process of the cable core design. And the results of examination on the current capacity, heat generation, harmonic loss and current distribution properties of the DC HTS cable are introduced.

젊은 성인의 조절 및 이향운동 기능장애 분석을 위한 표준 값 (Expected Values for the Analysis of Accommodation and Vergence Dysfunction of Young Adluts)

  • 본 연구는 조절 및 이향운동 기능장애 분석을 위한 표준 값을 알아보기 위해 시행하였다. 방법: 안질환이 없고 현성사시 및 간헐 사시가 없으며 조절 및 이향운동 기능장애가 없는 54명(평균연령 25.3${\pm}$2.7세)을 대상으로 하였다. 객관적 편위각을 기준으로 하여 폭주근점, 원거리 및 근거리 사위량을 측정하였고 이후 AC/A비, 상대조절력 및 이향운동 기능을 측정한 후 이 값들을 Morgan의 표준값과 비교 분석하였다. 결과: 원거리 및 근거리 사위량은 각각 1.24${\pm}$2.72${\Delta}$, 2.70${\pm}$4.91${\Delta}$이었고 렌즈차 이용법에 의한 AC/A비는 3.92${\pm}$2.17${\Delta}$/D로 Morgan의 표준값과 거의 같은 값을 보였다. 원거리 음성융합성폭주량은 동일한 값을 보인반면, 양성융합성폭주량은 Morgan의 표준값에 비해 7${\Delta}$ 높은 값을 보였다. 근거리의 전체 이향운동의 범위는 Morgan 값과 큰 차이를 보이지 않은 반면 원거리의 전체 이향운동의 범위는 양성융합성폭주여력이 상대적으로 더 넓은 범위를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 양성상대조절력은 +0.37D 높은 값이었고, 음성상대조절력은 -0.63D 더 높은 값을 보였다. 결론: 본 연구에 의한 양안시 분석 값들은 Morgan의 표준값이 상당한 근접성 폭주를 포함하고 있을 가능성을 나타낸다. Morgan 표준값과 비교하여 한국인을 대상으로 한 원거리 및 근거리 이향운동량과 근접성 폭주량은, 특히 BO limit 값에서 매우 다른 값을 보이고 있기 때문에 만약 Morgan 값을 한국인의 양안시 분석에 그대로 적용한다면 부정확한 양안시 진단으로 유도될 수도 있다. 본 연구의 측정값은 한국인 정상 젊은 성인의 양안시 분석을 위한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.

Nonlinear Representation of Two-Stage Power-Factor-Correction AC/DC Circuits

  • Two-stage Power-Factor-Correction (PFC) converters are the most common circuits for drawing sinusoidal and in phase current waveforms from an ac source with a good regulated output voltage. The first stage is a boost PFC converter with average-current-mode control for achieving the near-unity power factor and the second stage is a forward converter with voltage-mode control to regulate the output voltage. Stability analysis and design methods of two-stage PFC converters have previously been discussed using linear models. Recently, new nonlinear phenomena have been detected in pre-regulator boost PFC circuits and a new nonlinear model has been proposed for pre-regulated PFC converters. Therefore, investigation of two-stage PFC converters from the nonlinear viewpoint becomes important because the second stage DC/DC converter adds more complexity to the circuit. So, this paper introduces a study of the stability of two-stage PFC converters. A novel nonlinear model of two-stage PFC converters is proposed. Then, a stability analysis is made based upon this nonlinear model. The high correspondence between the simulated and experimental results confirms our analysis.

조절성 폭주비(AC/A) 측정에 의한 양안시 기능 분석 (The Analysis of Binocular Vision Function by measuring Accommodative Convergence(AC/A))

  • 조절과 폭주기능은 밀접하게 연관된 합동운동으로 폭주와 조절 어느 한 쪽이 자극되면 양기능이 동시에 일어난다. 이 중 조절자극에 의해 일어나는 폭주를 조절성 폭주라고 하며, 눈의 굴절상태에 따라 과부족이 있다. 본 연구는 조절성 폭주비와 사위와의 관계를 규명하기 위해 그래디앤트(Gradient)법과 헤트로포리아(Heterophoria)법 둘 다 모두 사용하여 안과적 질환이 없는 성인 남녀 41명을 대상으로 검사하였다. 1. 원거리 사위분포를 조사한 결과, 정위 5명, 외사위 32명, 내사위 4명으로 외사위가 가장 많은 비율을 차지하고 있었다. 근거리 사위분포도는 원거리보다 넓게 퍼져서 분포하고 있었다. 2. 수정체의 조절력을 이완시킨 상태에서 수평사위량 측정시, 38명이 외사위량이 증가하였다. 3. 정상 AC/A ratio에 해당하는 $4{\sim}6{\Delta}/D$를 갖는 사람이 Heterophoria법에서는 27명으로 약 66%를, Gradient 법에서는 16명으로 39%를 각각 차지하고 있었다.
