항로표지 기반의 부착생물 정보 생성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Generation of Fouling Organism Information Based Aids to Navigation)

  • 우리나라 해양생태계의 현황을 조사 및 분석하여 해양을 지속하게 이용할 수 있도록 하며 해양생태를 보전하고 관리할 수 있도록 국가 해양생태계 종합조사를 해양수산부의 위탁을 받아 해양환경공단에서 진행하고 있다. 국가 해양생태계 종합조사는 주요 조사정점을 설정하여 한반도 주변 해역의 생태계 변화를 조사하고 있지만, 정점이 연안을 중심으로 설정되어 근해역 등 조사범위 확대가 필요한 실정이다. 한편 해양수산부 항로표지과에서는 항로표지 인양점검 시 부착생물의 사진을 촬영하여 제공함으로써 국가 해양생태계 종합 조사를 지원하고 있지만, 해양환경공단과 협의하여 지정된 등부표에 한해서 부착생물 사진을 제공한다. 이에 항로표지를 국가 해양생태계 종합조사의 정점으로 활용할 수 있도록, 항로표지 및 등부표 인양점검 시 딥러닝 기반의 영상처리 알고리즘을 활용하여 부착생물의 정보를 생성하는 연구를 진행했다. 항로표지를 국가 해양생태계 종합조사의 정점으로 활용한다면 항로표지의 활용 가치를 제고하고 우리나라 근해의 이상 해황 및 생태계 변화를 분석할 수 있는 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다.

  • 해양생태계조사는 많은 항목을 다양한 장소로부터 다양한 시기에 조사/분석한다. 따라서 다항목의 복잡한 생태 자료를 효과적으로 분석하기는 매우 어려우며, 또한 자료 분석을 통하여 생태계의 현황을 파악하고, 문제점을 진단하기는 더욱 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문은 생태 조사 자료의 분포 특성과 이상치 분석을 통하여 복잡한 생태 자료의 합리적 해석에 대한 예시를 제시하고자한다. 주요 연구 내용은 각 생태 자료의 분포 특성을 고려한 한반도 연안의 생태 요소별 배경 농도 도출과 생태계 모니터링 지시자 도출 및 적응적 관리 체제 구축이다. 본 논문에 이용된 자료는 해양수산부와 해양환경공단이 주관하는 국가해양생태계종합조사의 연안생태조사 자료를 이용하였으며, 주요인용 시기는 2015~2017년 자료이다. 본 논문은 상기 과정을 정립하는 예비 연구이며, 국가해양생태계종합조사 중 연안생태조사가 한반도 전 연안에서 총 3회가 완료되는 시점인 2020년 이후에 연안생태계의 생태 요소별 배경 농도 및 관리 방안에 대한 최종 결과가 도출될 예정이다.

전국자연환경조사 자료를 이용한 생물다양성 정량화의 적정공간단위 연구 (Study on the Appropriate Spatial unit to Measure Biodiversity Using National Ecosystem Survey Data)

  • Biodiversity refers to the diversity of organisms originating from all sources, including terrestrial ecosystems, aquatic ecosystems, and complex ecosystems and it is considered to be the standard of the area to be preserved and protected. So The Importance of environmental assessment for biodiversity conservation is increasing and International efforts to quantify biodiversity and to develop indices have been made, but there are insufficient researches on the use of biomass databases and their quantification in Korea. In this study, the biodiversity map was constructed using the 3rd National Ecosystem Survey Mammal Data with three spatial units(Administrative Area, 1:5,000 index map, hexagonal lattice). and the difference of map constructed by spatial unit was suggested to help research on quantification and evaluation of biodiversity in the future. As a result of the study, biodiversity index for the same area varied according to the spatial unit and overall average and standard deviation were different too. Therefore it is necessary to utilize appropriate spatial unit considering the suitability and purpose of quantification rather than using specific unit. It also showed the necessity of establishing a standard for biodiversity index as a result of comparative analysis with ecosystem and nature map. Based on this research, comprehensive efforts should be made for the sustainable development of the country through further research and institutional improvement for quantification and evaluation of biodiversity, set standards.

영산강 하구역의 춘계와 하계에 출현하는 어류플랑크톤의 종조성과 개체수 (Species composition and abundances of ichthyolplankton in Yeongsan River Estuary in Spring and Summer)

  • This study was conducted to provide the basic information on environment effects on appearance of ichthyoplankton in the Yeongsan River Estuary in Spring and Summer from 2018 to 2020. Data were obtain from the database of 'Coastal Ecosystem' in "National Survey of Marine Ecosystem." Among the abundance ichthyoplankton species, the Gobiidae spp. dominated, accounting for 85% of the total abundances with the secondary dominant species being the Parablennius yatabei, representing 3% of the abundances. Cluster analysis results revealed a composition differentiated between spring and summer. The Yeongsan River Estuary is known to be significantly influenced by the opening and closing of estuarine gates. In this study, the fluctuation in the number of occurrence groups and abundance among the years and season is attributed to the phenomenon of high water temperature period and the freshwater discharge.

수정된 중요도-만족도 분석(ISA)을 활용한 수요자 기반 생태계서비스 수준 평가 연구 - 서울시를 대상으로 - (Ecosystem service quality assessment with an application of revised Importance-Satisfaction Analysis - The case of Seoul, Korea -)

  • Ecosystem services (ES) are the benefits that people obtain from ecosystems. Traditional ES assessment methods have focused on the supply of ES, using biophysical data. However, these methods often fail to capture the full value of ES, which is also determined by social and cultural factors. This study proposes a new approach to ES assessment that incorporates socio-cultural perspectives. The study was conducted in Seoul, South Korea. A survey was conducted of 1,805 residents of Seoul to assess their satisfaction with ecosystem services. Exploratory factor analysis was used to identify bundles of ES that were perceived as important by residents. A revised importance-satisfaction analysis was used to calculate the urgency level of each bundle. The results of the study showed that the 21 ES that were considered in the survey could be grouped into three bundles: urban green area-based, biodiversity-based, and resilience-based. The urgency level analysis showed that some bundles were more important than others, and that some bundles were more urgent than others. The findings of this study have several implications. First, they suggest that a socio-cultural approach to ES assessment can provide a more comprehensive and accurate assessment of ES. Second, they show that this approach can be used to identify areas where ES management is most needed. Third, they suggest that this approach could be used to inform ES management and policy decisions.

생태·자연도의 관·민원 현황에 대한 고찰 (A Review on the Public Appeals of the Ecosystem and Nature Map)

  • 생태 자연도는 자연자원을 식생, 멸종위기동 식물종 분포에 따라 생태학적 보전과 복원을 위한 정보 제공과 정책 및 토지이용계획 등에 중요 자료로 이용되고 있다. 생태 자연도는 2만 5천분의 일 축척 지도 794도엽에 대하여 1, 2, 3등급과 별도관리지역으로 구분하여 표기되고 있다. 2005년에 최초의 생태 자연도 국민열람(안)이 공개되어 1,419건의 관련된 관 민원이 발생하였으며, 일부 수정을 거쳐 2007년에 고시되었다. 2012년에 두 번째 생태 자연도 국민열람(안)이 공개되었으며, 1,263건의 관 민원이 접수되었다. 2007년에 고시된 생태 자연도의 등급조정을 위한 관원과 민원은 182건이 접수되었으며, 2013년까지 159건이 수정 보완 고시되었다. 2007년 생태 자연도 고시자료의 국토대비 각 등급별 면적 비율은 1등급 7.5%, 2등급 39.2%, 3등급 44.7%이다. 2012년 생태 자연도 개정고시 국민열람(안)에서는 1등급이 약 1.7%, 2등급이 약 6.3% 증가하였으며, 3등급은 8.1% 감소하였다. 전국의 1등급 지역 중 가장 많은 비율을 차지하는 곳은 강원도(2007: 54.33%, 2012: 47.53%)로 나타났다. 1등급 면적 비율이 가장 높고 3등급 면적이 가장 낮은 지역은 강원도며, 3등급 면적이 가장 높은 지역은 서울특별시다. 1등급 면적이 가장 많이 증가한 지역은 경상북도며, 가장 많이 감소한 지역은 전라북도와 서울특별시다. 1등급 판정에 가장 높은 기여를 하는 평가 항목은 식생이었다.

  • Provisioning service, which is one of the ecosystem service functions, means goods and services such as food and fuel that people get from ecosystem. Provisioning functions are closely related to the primary industry, a sector of economy. Excessive demand and use of human society can cause trade-offs among regulation, cultural, and supporting services. Therefore, it is important to perform evaluation ecosystem services periodically and to monitor the time series fluctuations to identify the impact of provisioning services on other ecosystem services (trade-off) and to maintain sustainable provisioning service. When it comes to the precise assessment of provisioning service, it is necessary to get the statistical data and standardize indicators and methods. In this study, indicators and methods, which are applicable to the spatial level of national-local-protected areas, were derived through literature analysis and expert survey. The result of this study implies that provisioning services measurement by spatial level improve the efficiency of the establishment of environmental conservation plans by whose purpose.

Current Status of Mammal Fauna on Jindo Island, Korea

  • In the present study, to explore the current status of mammals that inhabit Jindo Island, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, a survey was conducted from July 6 to July 9, 2016. Using several survey methods, such as Sherman's live trap, footprint, caves, excretions, and road-kill investigations, the mammals observed on Jindo Island were found to be from 5 orders and 9 families, including 12 species in total. Among them, three species of small mammals were Mogera wogura, Crocidura shantungensis, and Apodemus agrarius. Additionally, two legally protected species were found through excretion observations. Lutra lutra and Prionailurus bengalensis, which were designated to endangered wild animal classes I and II, respectively. The survey results can be used as a valuable resource for identifying the distribution and habitat status of mammals in the Jindo-gun area, as well as for building a database for ecosystem preservation.

생태계 서비스 가치평가를 위한 멸종위기 포유류의 종분포 연구 - 전국자연환경조사 자료를 중심으로 - (Species Distribution Modeling of Endangered Mammals for Ecosystem Services Valuation - Focused on National Ecosystem Survey Data -)

  • The provided habitat of many services from natural capital is important. But because most ecosystem services tools qualitatively evaluated biodiversity or habitat quality, this study quantitatively analyzed those aspects using the species distribution model (MaxEnt). This study used location point data of the goat(Naemorhedus caudatus), marten(Martes flavigula), leopard cat(Prionailurus bengalensis), flying squirrel(Pteromys volans aluco) and otter(Lutra lutra) from the 3rd National Ecosystem Survey. Input data utilized DEM, landcover classification maps, Forest-types map and digital topographic maps. This study generated the MaxEnt model, randomly setting 70% of the presences as training data, with the remaining 30% used as test data, and ran five cross-validated replicates for each model. The threshold indicating maximum training sensitivity plus specificity was considered as a more robust approach, so this study used it to conduct the distribution into presence(1)-absence(0) predictions and totalled up a value of 5 times for uncertainty reduction. The test data's ROC curve of endangered mammals was as follows: growing down goat(0.896), otter(0.857), flying squirrel(0.738), marten(0.725), and leopard cat(0.629). This study was divided into two groups based on habitat: the first group consisted of the goat, marten, leopard cat and flying squirrel in the forest; and the second group consisted of the otter in the river. More than 60 percent of endangered mammals' distribution probability were 56.9% in the forest and 12.7% in the river. A future study is needed to conduct other species' distribution modeling exclusive of mammals and to develop a collection method of field survey data.

토지피복 지도를 이용한 생태계 서비스 가치 변화 분석 (Analysis of Ecosystem Service Value Change Using a Land Cover Map)

  • This study examined the effective uses of an ecosystem service value assessment in the fields of rural planning and development through archiving and reviewing/analyzing existing concepts, evaluation methods and prior examples of Ecosystem services. Based on land cover analysis, this study evaluated the usability changes in the ecosystem service value for a period spanning 1975 to 2000. The results from the countrywide data survey (with an exception of Jeju island) showed a 33.15% decrease in ESV by 2000. The total ESV represented 5,385 million USD in 1975, and 3,600 million USD in 2000 of the study area. In addition, the ecosystem service value with a scale of metro cities and provinces was also examined. The ESV of most regions decreased by 2000, but Daejeon and Kyeongnam, and Kyeongbuk provinces increased. The trends of year to year changes in the ESV were very diverse throughout the country. Jeonnam showed the smallest decrease, 747 million USD, which is 59% of the ESV in 1975. Nevertheless, the despite the regional differences in available natural resources, the natural resource assets value is ultimately determined by rural development policies and regional economic attributes. Therefore, an ecosystem service must be considered as an important criterion for rural planning and development policy.
