This study was conducted to evaluate the qualities of mackerel Scomber japonicus sausage prepared with Theragra chalcogramma surimi (TS, A grade), Nemipterus virgatus surimi (NS, A grade) (0, 5, 7, 10%), and 7% NS with starch (0, 1, 2, 3%). The whiteness of the mackerel sausage was significantly increased by adding TS and NS, but that of the NS with starch groups was decreased compared with the control. The hardness increased significantly with the addition of TS, whereas the NS and NS with starch groups showed no considerable differences compared with the control. The gel strength was not significantly different among the mackerel sausage additive groups. In the sensory evaluation, the mackerel sausages containing 5% TS, 7% NS, and 7% NS with 2% starch had the highest overall preference. In conclusion, these results suggest that 5% TS, 7% NS, and 7% NS with 2% starch improve the quality, texture and sensory properties of mackerel sausage.
Porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) is an emerging swine enteric coronavirus that causes diarrhea in neonatal piglets. Like other coronaviruses, PDCoV encodes at least three accessory or species-specific proteins; however, the biological roles of these proteins in PDCoV replication remain undetermined. As a first step toward understanding the biology of the PDCoV accessory proteins, we established a stable porcine cell line constitutively expressing the PDCoV NS7 protein in order to investigate the functional characteristics of NS7 for viral replication. Confocal microscopy and subcellular fractionation revealed that the NS7 protein was extensively distributed in the mitochondria. Proteomic analysis was then conducted to assess the expression dynamics of the host proteins in the PDCoV NS7-expressing cells. High-resolution two-dimensional gel electrophoresis initially identified 48 protein spots which were differentially expressed in the presence of NS7. Seven of these spots, including two up-regulated and five down-regulated protein spots, showed statistically significant alterations, and were selected for subsequent protein identification. The affected cellular proteins identified in this study were classified into functional groups involved in various cellular processes such as cytoskeleton networks and cell communication, metabolism, and protein biosynthesis. A substantial down-regulation of α-actinin-4 was confirmed in NS7-expressing and PDCoV-infected cells. These proteomic data will provide insights into the understanding of specific cellular responses to the accessory protein during PDCoV infection.
CsI single crystals doped with lithium, potassium or rubidium were grown by using Czochralski method at Ar gas atmosphere. The energy resolutions of CsI(Li:0.2 mole%), CsI(K:0.5 mole%) and CsI(Rb:1.5 mole%) scintillators were 14.5%, 15.9% and 17.0% for $^{137}Cs$(0.662 MeV), respectively. The energy calibration curves of CsI(Li), CsI(K) and CsI(Rb) scintillators were linear for $\gamma$-ray energy. The time resolutions of CsI(Li:0.2 mole%), CsI(K:0.5 mole%) and CsI(Rb:1.5 mole%) scintillators measured by CFT(constant-fraction timing method) were 9.0 ns, 14.7 ns and 9.7 ns, respectively. The fluorescence decay times of CsI(Li:0.2 mole%) scintillator had a fast component and slow one of ${\tau}_1=41.2\;ns$ and ${\tau}_2=483\;ns$, respectively. The fluorescence decay times of CsI(K:0.5 mole%) scintillator were ${\tau}_1=47.2\;ns$ and ${\tau}_2=417\;ns$. And the fluorescence decay times of CsI(Rb:1.5 mole%) scintillator were ${\tau}_1=41.3\;ns$ and ${\tau}_2=553\;ns$. The phosphorescence decay times of CsI(Li:0.2 mole%), CsI(K:0.5 mole%) and CsI(Rb:1.5 mole%) scintillators were 0.51 s, 0.57 s and 0.56 s, respectively.
This study, a point rainfall process model, which could represent appropriately observed rainfall data, was to select. The point process models-rectangular pulses Poisson process model(RPPM), Neyman-Scott rectangular pulses Poisson process model(NS-RPPM), and modified Neyman-Scott rectangular pulses Poisson process model(modified NS-RPPM)-all based on Poisson process were considered as possible rainfall models, whose statistical analyses were performed with their simulation rainfall data. As results, simulated rainfall data using the NS-RPPM and the modified NS-RPPM represent appropriately statistics of observed data for several aggregation levels. Also, simulated rainfall data using the modified NS-RPPM shows similar characteristics of rainfall occurrence to the observed rainfall data. Especially, the modified NS-RPPM reproduces high-intensity rainfall events that contribute largely to occurrence of natural harzard such as flood and landslides most similarly. Also, the modified NS-RPPM shows the best results with respect to the total rainfall amount, duration, and inter-event time. In conclusions, the modified NS-RPPM was found to be the most appropriate model for the long-term simulation of rainfall.
In this study, we examined the quasi-nonvolatile memory characteristics of silicon nanosheet (SiNS) feedback field-effect transistors (FBFETs) fabricated using a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor process. The SiNS channel layers fabricated by photoresist overexposure method had a width of approximately 180 nm and a height of 70 nm. The SiNS FBFETs operated in a positive feedback loop mechanism and exhibited an extremely low subthreshold swing of 1.1 mV/dec and a high ON/OFF current ratio of 2.4×107. Moreover, SiNS FBFETs represented long retention time of 50 seconds, indicating the quasi-nonvolatile memory characteristics.

A typical standard of vehicular ad hoc networks, WAVE which consists of IEEE 1609.x Family standards and IEEE 802.11p standard, includes the multi-channel coordination and channel synchronization function to provide safety services or public services during a car is driven. Generally, the performance of data communication and networking technologies is evaluated by using simulation tools, such as ns-2, OPNET, OPNET++, etc. However, these tools doesn't provide the operations of WAVE protocol. Therefore, in this paper, we implement and verify WAVE simulation program based on ns-2.
The reaction of cupric nitrate trihydrate with S-2-pyridyl thioates in acetonitrile was studied. The major products were the corresponding carboxylic acids and $[Cu(NO_3)(C_5H_4NS)(C_5H_5NS$)] (Complex A). Sometimes $[Cu(NO_3)(C_5H_4NS)(H_2O$)] was also obtained in addition to Complex A. When Complex A was recrystallized in dimethylsulfoxide, $[Cu(NO_3)(C_5H_4NS)(C_5H_5NS)$ {$(CH_3)_2SO$}$_2]{\cdot}2H_2O$ was crystallized. The structures of these copper complexes and the role of cupric nitrate in the hydrolysis of S-2-pyridyl thioates are discussed.

Background: Nigella Sativa (NS) is an herb from the Ranunculaceae family that exhibits numerous medicinal properties and has been used as important constituent of many complementary and alternative medicines (CAMs). The ability of NS to kill cancer cells such as PC3, HeLa and hepatoma cells is well established. However, our understanding of the mode of death caused by NS remains nebulous. The objective of this study was to gain further insight into the mode and mechanism of death caused by NS in breast cancer MCF-7 cells. Materials and Methods: Human breast cancer cells (MCF-7) were treated with a methanolic extract of NS, and a dose- and time-dependent study was performed. The $IC_{50}$ was calculated using a Cell Titer $Blue^{(R)}$ viability assay assay, and evidence for DNA fragmentation was obtained by fluorescence microscopy TUNEL assay. Gene expression was also profiled for a number of apoptosis-related genes (Caspase-3, -8, -9 and p53 genes) through qPCR. Results: The $IC_{50}$ of MCF-7 cells was $62.8{\mu}L/mL$. When MCF-7 cells were exposed to $50{\mu}L/mL$ and $100{\mu}L/mL$ NS for 24h, 48h and 72h, microscopic examination (TUNEL assay) revealed a dose- and time-dependent increase in apoptosis. Similarly, the expression of the Caspase-3, -8, -9 and p53 genes increased significantly according to the dose and time. Conclusions: NS induced apoptosis in MCF-7 cells through both the p53 and caspase pathways. NS could potentially represent an alternative source of medicine for breast cancer therapy.

This paper dealt with the measurement and analysis of partial discharge (PD) under high voltage direct current (HVDC) in SF6 gas. Electrode systems such as a protrusion on conductor (POC), a protrusion on enclosure (POE), a crack on epoxy plate and a free particle (FP) were fabricated to simulate the insulation defects. The analysis system was designed with a Time-Frequency (T-F) map algorithm programed based on LabVIEW. This can arrange the acquired PD pulses into frequency and time domain. A HVDC power source is composed of a transformer (220 V/50 kV), a diode (100 kV) and a capacitor (50 kV, 0.5 ${\mu}F$). The gap between the electrodes is 3 mm, and the $SF_6$ gas was set at 5 bar. PD pulses were detected by a 50 ${\Omega}$ non-inductive resistor. In the analysis, PD pulses were distributed below 0.5 MHz and 20 ns ~ 35 ns for the POC, 0.7 MHz ~ 1.7 MHz, below 0.6 MHz and 10 ns ~ 40 ns and 60 ns ~125 ns for the POE, below 0.1 MHz and 135 ns ~ 215 ns for the crack, and below 1.6 MHz and 250 ns for the FP.
본고에서는 현재 일반적으로 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 네트워크 시뮬레이터인 NS-2(Network Simulator-2)에 대하여 알아본다.
