Medial axis transform (MAT) is very sensitive to noise, in the sense that, even if a shape is perturbed only slightly, the Hausdorff distance between the MATs of the original shape and the perturbed one may be large. Recently, Choi et al.(2002) showed that MAT is stable for a class of 2D domains called weakly injective, if we view this phenomenon with the one-sided Hausdorff distance, rather than with the two-sided Hausdorff distance. In this paper, we extend this result to general 2D domains with natural boundary regularity. We also present explicit bounds for this general one-sided stability of the 2D MAT.

This paper presents an active noise control (ANC) algorithm using orthogonalization property of Walsh transform. Conventional ANC algorithm known as filtered-x LMS(FXL) algorithm has a problem of decreasing convergence speed in FIR adaptive filters operating in colored noise environments. Walsh transform decompose an input signal into a set of N uncorrelated components and reduce eigenvalue spread of autocorrelation matrix of input sequences. Computer simulations show that proposed (FXW) algorithm is superier to FXL in convergence speed.

The veritable pursuit of this exegesis is to exhibit integrals affined with the Bessel-Struve kernel function, which are explicitly inscribed in terms of generalized (Wright) hypergeometric function and also the product of generalized (Wright) hypergeometric function with sum of two confluent hypergeometric functions. Somewhat integrals involving exponential functions, modified Bessel functions and Struve functions of order zero and one are also obtained as special cases of our chief results.

In this article, we are interested in studying the fractional Sadik Transform and a combination of the method of steps that will be applied together to find accurate solutions or approximations to homogeneous and non-homogeneous delayed fractional differential equations with constant-coefficient and possible extension to time-dependent delays. The results show that the process is correct, exact, and easy to do for solving delayed fractional differential equations near the origin. Finally, we provide several examples to illustrate the applicability of this method.

In this paper, we consider multiple-class queueing systems in which the server starts a set-up as soon as the number of customers in the "start-up class" reaches threshold N. After the set-up the server starts his service. We obtain the Laplace-Stieltjes transform and the mean of the waiting times of each class of customers for FCFS and non-preemptive priority disciplines.

본 논문은 N이 서로소인 두 자연수 $N_1$과 $N_2$로 분해되는 경우에 대하여 이산코사인 변환의 소인수 분해 계산기법 및 이를 위한 인덱스 매핑을 고찰하고 있다. 소인수 분해 알고리즘의 유도과정에 나타나는 관계식들을 표의 형태로 변형시키고, 이 인덱스 매핑 표들을 바탕으로 이산 코사인 변환을 구현하는 방법이 소개되어 있다.

In this study, we drive the one dimensional marginal transform function, probability density function and probability distribution function for the random variables $T_{{\xi}N}$ (Time taken by the servers during the vacations), ${\xi}_N$(Number of vacations taken by the servers) and ${\eta}_N$(Number of customers or units arrive in the system) by controlling the variability of two random variables simultaneously.

In this paper, we establish Liouville type theorems for the fractional powers of multidimensional Bessel operators extending the results given in [6]. In order to do this, we consider the distributional point of view of fractional Bessel operators studied in [12].

This paper presents the automatic recognition algorithm of the license number in on vehicle image. The proposed algorithm uses the correlation coefficient and Hough transform to detect license plate. The m/n ratio reduction is performed to save time and memory. By the correlation coefficient between the standard pattern and the target pattern, licence plate area is roughly extracted. On the extracted local area, preprocessing and binarization is performed. The Hough transform is applied to find the extract outline of the plate. If the detection fails, a smaller or a larger standard pattern is used to compute the correlation coefficient. Through this process, the license plate of different size can be extracted. Two algorithms to each separate number are proposed. One segments each number with projection-histogram, and the other segments each number with the label. After each character is separated, it is recognized by the neural network. This research overlomes the problems in conventional methods, such as the time requirement or failure in extraction of outlines which are due to the processing of the entire image, and by processing in real time, the practical application is possible.
