  • Let 0 < s < 1. For $f^{\ast}$ representing the symmetric radial decreasing rearrangement of f, we build up a fractional version of Polya-$Szeg{\ddot{o}}$ inequality: $${\int}_{\mathbb{R}^n}{\mid}(-\Delta)^{s/2}f^{\ast}(x){\mid}^2dx{\leq}{\int}_{\mathbb{R}^n}{\mid}(-\Delta)^{s/2}f(x){\mid}^2dx$$.

  • PURPOSE. This study evaluated fracture resistance with regard to ferrule lengths and post reinforcement on endodontically treated mandibular premolars incorporating a prefabricated post and resin core. MATERIALS AND METHODS. One hundred extracted mandibular premolars were randomly divided into 5 groups (n=20): intact teeth (NR); endodontically treated teeth (ETT) without post (NP); ETT restored with a prefabricated post with ferrule lengths of either 0 mm (F0), 1 mm (F1), or 2 mm (F2). Prepared teeth were restored with metal crowns. A thermal cycling test was performed for 1,000 cycles. Loading was applied at an angle of 135 degrees to the axis of the tooth using a universal testing machine with a crosshead speed of 2.54 mm/min. Fracture loads were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and Tukey HSD test using a statistical program (${\alpha}=.05$). RESULTS. There were statistical differences in fracture loads among groups (P<.001). The fracture load of F2 ($237.7{\pm}83.4$) was significantly higher than those of NP ($155.6{\pm}74.3N$), F0 ($98.8{\pm}43.3N$), and F1 ($152.8{\pm}78.5N$) (P=.011, P<.001, and P=.008, respectively). CONCLUSION. Fracture resistance of ETT depends on the length of the ferrule, as shown by the significantly increased fracture resistance in the 2 mm ferrule group (F2) compared to the groups with shorter ferrule lengths (F0, F1) and without post (NP).

  • In this paper we characterize multi-Jensen functions f : $V^n\;{\rightarrow}\;W$, where n is a positive integer, V, W are commutative groups and V is uniquely divisible by 2. Moreover, under the assumption that f : $\mathbb{R}\;{\rightarrow}\;\mathbb{R}$ is Borel measurable, we obtain representation of f (respectively, f, g, h : $\mathbb{R}\;{\rightarrow}\;\mathbb{R}$) such that the Jensen difference $$2f\;\(\frac{x\;+\;y}{2}\)\;-\;f(x)\;-\;f(y)$$ (respectively, the Pexider difference $$2f\;\(\frac{x\;+\;y}{2}\)\;-\;g(x)\;-\;h(y))$$ takes values in a countable subgroup of $\mathbb{R}$.

  • In general, X-ray diffraction method detects the changes of crystal lattice under material surface using the angle of diffraction 2$\theta$. This technique which deals with in the presented paper can be applied to a behavior on the slipped band or the micro crack cause to material degradation. The relation between half-value breadth and cycle numbers shows three stages, which consist of rapid decrease in the initial cycle, slight decrease in the middle cycle, and then rapid decrease in the final cycle. The ratio of half-value breadth has a constant value on B/B$\_$0/ - N diagram under the loading condition except early part of fatigue life. The ratio of half-value breadth B/B$\_$0/ - log N$\_$f/ with respect to number of cycle to failure N$\_$f/ has linear behavior on B/B$\_$0/ - log N$\_$f/ diagram. Therefore, the evaluation of fatigue life by the average gradient has much less mean error than the estimation of fatigue life by log B/B$\_$0/ - log N/N$\_$f/ relation.

  • Let M = {1, 2, ${\ldots}$, n} and let V = {$I{\subseteq}M:1{\in}I$}. Denote M\I by $I^c$ for $I{\in}V$. The goal of this paper is to investigate the solution and the stability using the alternative fixed point of generalized cubic functional equation $ \sum\limits_{I{\in}V}f(\sum\limits_{i{\in}I}a_ix_i-\sum\limits_{i{\in}I^c}a_ix_i)=2{^{n-2}{a_1}}\sum\limits_{i=2}^na_i^2[f(x_1+x_i)+f(x_1-x_i)]+2{^{n-1}{a_1}(a^2_1-\sum\limits_{i=2}^2a^2_i)f(x_1)$ in ${\beta}$-Banach modules on Banach algebras, where $a_1,{\ldots},a_n{\in}\mathbb{Z}{\backslash}\{0\}$ with $a_1{\neq}={\pm}1$ and $a_n=1$.

  • Previous $^{19}F\;and\;^{1,2}H$ electron-nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) study of fluorometmyoglobin (MbF) in frozen-solution state provided sensitive tools sensing subtle structural changes of the heme that are not obtainable from X-ray. [Fann et al., J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1995, 117, 6019] Because of the intrinsic inhomogeneouse EPR line broadening effect of MbF in frozen-solution state, detection of the intrinsic inhomogeneouse EPR line broadening effect of MbF in frozen-solution state, detection of the electronic and geometrical changes of the heme ring itself and the proximal histidine by using $^{14}N$ CW ENDOR was interfered. In the present study, hyperfine-sensitive $^{14}N$ Mims ENDOR technique of pulsed-EPR was employed to probe the changes. With two different $\tau$ values of 128 and 196 ns, $^{14}N$ ENDOR signals of the heme and proximal histidine were completely resolved at $g'_{II}(=g_e=2)$. This study present that X-band $^{14}N$ Mims ENDOR sequence can sensitively detect the small changes of the spin densities and p orbital populations of the proximal and the heme nitrogens, caused by ligand and pH variation of the distal site.

  • Let $\mathscr{B}^{{\eta},{\mu}}_{p,n}\;({\alpha});\;({\eta},{\mu}{\in}{\mathbb{R}},\;n,\;p{\in}{\mathbb{N}})$ denote all functions f class in the unit disk ${\mathbb{U}}$ as $f(z)=z^p+\sum_{k=n+p}^{\infty}a_kz^k$ which satisfy: $$\|\[{\frac{f^{\prime}(z)}{pz^{p-1}}}\]^{\eta}\;\[\frac{z^p}{f(z)}\]^{\mu}-1\| <1-{\frac{\alpha}{p}};\;(z{\in}{\mathbb{U}},\;0{\leq}{\alpha}<p)$$. And $\mathscr{M}^{{\eta},{\mu}}_{p,n}\;({\alpha})$ indicates all meromorphic functions h in the punctured unit disk $\mathbb{U}^*$ as $h(z)=z^{-p}+\sum_{k=n-p}^{\infty}b_kz^k$ which satisfy: $$\|\[{\frac{h^{\prime}(z)}{-pz^{-p-1}}}\]^{\eta}\;\[\frac{1}{z^ph(z)}\]^{\mu}-1\|<1-{\frac{\alpha}{p}};\;(z{\in}{\mathbb{U}},\;0{\leq}{\alpha}<p)$$. In this paper several sufficient conditions for some classes of functions are investigated. The authors apply Jack's Lemma, to obtain this conditions. Furthermore, sufficient conditions for strongly starlike and convex p-valent functions of order ${\gamma}$ and type ${\beta}$, are also considered.

  • This study is to clarify the relation between the maximum 24 hour rainfall and the daily rainfall of a designated time 10 A.M., using the 506 rainfall datum from 32 rain-guage stations on the Han river basin covering a period of 7 years and trying to estimate the ratio of two data in accordance with the amount of rainfall respectively. The Mononobe's formula, which is widely used in this country, has the value of 2/3 power in it. The "n" was considered instead of 2/3 and derivated for each guaging station. The results make it possible to establish the Ison-n value map, and show that the n value is affected mainly by the topographical conditions. The daily rainfall of a designated time can be modified by the results of this study and expressed as Y(%)=218.25/R$$. But in the case of exceeding 200mm/day, it is recommended to use the 110% for safety. On the problems of intensity-duration concerned with the planning of public works, the formula can be expressed as r$$=fRday/24.(24/t)$$, where "f" is Y(%) divided by 100. As this study was done with the datum within shor period, it is necessary to study more about the "n" and "f" value so as to get previse value in the future.o as to get previse value in the future.
