Research instrument to test internet addiction was 4-points summated scale composed of 20-items and the instrument to examine stress coping behaviors was also 4-points summated scale composed of 30-items. The data was analyzed by frequency, percentage, χ2-test, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and multiple regression analysis using SPSS/PC 10.0. Results : The results were as follows: 1.The degree of internet addiction were 2.4% of addiction, 36.5% of addiction tendency and 61.1% of non-addiction. 2. In the relation between the degree of internet addiction and subscale stress coping behaviors, Internet addiction had significant positive correlation to the passive-avoiding coping (r= .202, p= .000) and aggressive coping(r= .233, p= .000). Multiple regression analysis revealed that the most powerful predictor of internet addiction was passive-avoiding coping. Aggressive coping and active coping had significant effects on internet addiction. These predictive variables of internet addiction explained 10.2% of variance. Conclusion : From the above findings, the authors concluded that it is necessary to develop a program for prevention of the internet addiction and education of stress coping behaviors can be recommended for prevention of the internet addiction.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of job-stress factors associated with fatigue among emergency rescue workers. A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 264 rescue workers in J province from January 5 to March 14, 2015. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics about the subjects, health-related characteristics, a job stress instrument, and a subjective fatigue instrument. The results were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis to determine the factors related to fatigue. Fatigue was influenced by the personal characteristics of the rescue workers and job stress. To reduce fatigue, effort to manage and relieve stress is required after a job is done in the field. In addition, it is expected that fatigue can be reduced by providing methods that can improve the healthcare capacity of the rescue workers.

Methods: This study was conducted using a questionnaire which included item for body esteem, stress and health promotion behaviors. Data were collected from 257 adults living in Jeollabuk-do in Korea from November to December, 2015. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: The mean score of body esteem was $2.73{\pm}0.43$, stress was $1.89{\pm}0.68$, and health promoting behaviors was $2.22{\pm}0.45$. There was a significant positive correlation between body esteem and health promotion behaviors (r=.47, p<.001), whereas there was a significant negative correlation between stress and health promotion behaviors (r=-.47, p<.001). In stepwise multiple regression analysis, body esteem, religion, education explained approximately 30.1% of health promoting behaviors (F=37.73, p<.001). Conclusion: The results in this study indicate that body esteem is the most important factor in health promoting behaviors among Korean adults. Thus, body esteem contents should be included in developing programs for adults to enhance their health promoting behaviors.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of nurses' turnover intention, Nunchi, and job stress on organizational socialization. Data were collected from 180 nurses working in hospitals in G-do. Analysis was done using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Multiple regression with IBM SPSS WIN/21.0. Organizational socialization was inversely correlated to turnover intention (r=-.52, p<.001), job stress (r=-.31, p<.001), and was positively correlated to Nunchi (r=.33, p<.001). The most influential factor on the subjects' organizational socialization was turnover intention (β=-.37, p<.001), Nunchi (β=.26, p<.001), job stress (β=-.24, p<.001), deployment to the desired department (β =.19, p=.001), Age 30 years or younger (β=-.14, p=.012), and Working department-OR (β=.11, p=.050). The explanatory power was 47.0% (F=25.59, p<.001). Therefore, a organizational socialization enhancement program is needed to reduce turnover intention and job stress. Also, age and desired depertment need to be taken into account when assigning departments.

Methods The subjects were consist of 190 outpatients ($56.6{\pm}12.9$ months) and their mother. The Behavior problems of children were measured with Korean version of Child Behavior Checklist for Ages 1.5-5 (K-CBCL1.5-5) while parental perception of child vulnerability, parent overprotection, parenting stress were measured by Child Vulnerability Scale (CVS), Parent Protection Scale (PPS), Korean-Parenting Stress Index-Short Form scale (K-PSI-SF), respectively. Correlation and multiple regression were conducted for the analysis. Results Significant correlations between child total problems score and child vulnerability (r=.272, p<.001), parent overprotection (r=.243, p=.001), and parenting stress (r=.597, p<.001) were reported. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the parenting stress (${\beta}$=.548, p<.001) was a major predictor for the child behavior problems rather than child vulnerability and parent overprotection. Conclusions It was shown that the parenting stress has a significant influence on the emotional and behavioral development of children. These results can be useful for improving clinical diagnosis and treatment in traditional Korean pediatrics.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of clinical nurses' job stress, work-family conflicts, and burnout on their depression. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results of this study shows that the job stress of the nurses was higher than average, the work-family conflicts was moderate, burnout was less than moderate, and depression was mild. The higher the job stress, the higher the conflict between workplace and family, the higher the burnout, and the higher the depression was. The main factor impacting upon the mental health of nurses was work-family conflicts followed by burnout. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a program that can prevent job stress and resolve burnout and support work-family conflicts to prevent depression of clinical nurses and to improve quality of life.
