A Study on Guarantee of Security for Closed Multiparty Conference using SIP Extension (SIP 확장을 통한 비공개형 다자간 컨퍼런스의 보안성 확보에 관한 연구)

  • The use of Multiparty Conference service based on SIP for VoIP provides is gradually magnified, and the work for continuous development and standardization on SIP is in the process of advancing. But, currently it is impossible for SIP to support identity discovery and distribution of each participant for multiparty conference. In this paper, we propose a SIP extension for guaranteeing security on the multiparty conference using SIP by adding new method and reconstructing header informations. With this, it is also possible to identify discovery and to distribute each participant using SIP extension when a call is established for closed multiparty conference.

  • Multiparty conference service based on SIP supported by VoIP network is gradually increased in use and the continuous development and standardization works on SIP are in the process of advancing. But SIP used in currently does not support identity discovery and distribution of each participant for multipath conference. In this paper, a SIP extension method for guaranteeing security from the multiparty conference based on SIP is proposed. We design a new SIP header and method for discovering and distributing a participant's identity in closed multiparty conference when the call initiation is established. And it can ensure that each participant is notified before a new participant joins.

  • To overcome the limit of a point-point connection type service which is common to the ISDN bearer services, a new concept of network element, Service Node, which can provide multiparty connections and control the teleservices on those connections is proposed. This will support conference type multiparty multimedia services among normal ISDN subscribers. In this paper, as a primary study on this concept, we deduce some attributes of the general conference type services and examine the methods and procedures to provide that kind of services through the ISDN. Based on this study, we also define the general requirements and basic structure for the Service Node realization, thus give shape to the concept of it.

  • Multicast is the multiparty communication that allows one-to-many communications. There are some multicast applications which are the ways of multiparty communications such as video conference system and white board. This paper proposes a dynamic allocation mechanism of designated receiver by using designated receiver list and a retransmission mechanism with designated receiver for the effective multicasting dta transmission. We designed voice conference system with multicast based on RTP/RTCP. This voice conference system increases the effect of standardization work and enables to exchange reliable standard dta with real time.

  • The endpoints and exchanges involved in a call can establish heterogeneous connection each other according to required bandwidth and bearer availability in multimedia communication. and as participating users are increased, call setup delay must not be exceedingly increased. In this paepr, we propose DMMSP(distributed multiparty multiconnection signaling protocol) which can support heterogeneous connections and multimedia communications. DMMSP gets over a limitation of existing B-ISDN protocol and provides signaling capabilities to support various kinds of conncetions, and each endpint can setup individual connection with bearer availability. Moreover since DMMSP separatively performs call processing in distributed scheme, call setup delay can be minimized. We present call control procedures which can be applied to existing B-ISDN protocol and DMMSP respectively. We take multiparty multimedia conference call as an example thta is applied to the existing B-ISDN protocol and DMMSP, and compare and quantitatively analyze each procedures.

  • This paper introduces the extension of SIP protocol for Multiparty Conference and the implementation of IP-based Multi-Conference. SIP protocol is a signaling protocol for initiating, modifying and terminating interactive sessions (voice, video, text, application). Multiparty conference system is implemented by RTP protocol for real time transmission and by H.323 for call setup. As H.323 fits into PSTN, it has some problems (call setup delay, hard implementation) for IP applications. IETF developed SIP protocol used for signaling in IP networks. However this SIP protocol doesn't explain signal protocol about multimedia conference, which is different from the existing H.323. So this paper describes the extension of SIP according to SIP Specification and case study for the multimedia conference.

  • For the implementation of a Service Node, which is proposed in the companion paper to provide multiparty conference type sevices in the ISDN, we define some technical aspects such as connection control, service control procedure and control messages in this paper. Additional connection control procedures for the multiparty connections are annexed to the CCITT Rec. Q.931 and Q.764 for the ISDN subscriber and common channel interoffice signaling. A new set of service control procedures is also established according to the necessary service control functions. The messages for these procedures are formatted using user-to-user signaling parts of Q.931 and Q.763 messages not to affect on the existing signaling system. Some technical requirements of subscriber terminal for the multiparty services are also deduced.

  • We can foresee the rapidly growing of users by development of VoIP service what can transmit a audio traffic with low cost among a lots application using internet. VoIP needs a standardized protocol that is able to do signaling for offering high quality of services such as mobility, universal number, multiparty conference, voice mail, automatic call distribution. At the present time, a base composition elements of SIP(Session Intiation Protocol) are developing for offering VoIP based SIP in the inside and outside of the country, because SIP of IETF which has a strength from 'fast connection', 'parsing' & 'easy to compile' points of view. This paper suggests a type of Hybrid SIP Server for providing some services as 'a reducing load of SIP server that process a request method from users', 'efficiency of managing networks', 'offering services to many users'.

  • 비밀분산은 비밀정보의 관리나 multiparty 프로토콜, 그룹 암호방식등의 분야에서 매우 중요한 부분이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 일방향 해쉬함수에 기반한 효율적인 온라인 비밀분산 방식을 제안하고자 한다. 제안하는 방식은 하나의 share만으로 여러 개의 비밀을 분산할 수 있고, 액세스 구조가 변하는 경우에 notice board에 공개된 값들만 변경하면 각 참가자들은 기존의 share를 그대로 사용할 수 있다. 또한 참가자들의 부정이 있는 경우 그 수에 관계없이 부정한 참가자의 신분을 밝혀낼 수 있으며, 기존의 방식보다 계산상 효율적이라는 장점이 있다.

  • 멀티미디어 회의, 원격 교육, 원격 의료 등과 같이 다수가 참여하여 공동으로 작업을 하는 응용 서비스들이 컴퓨터와 네트워크의 발전에 따라 가능해지고 있다. 이와 같이 다수가 참여하여 객체를 공유하면서 공동 작업을 하여야 하는 응용들은 공유 작업 환경(shared work environment)을 필수적으로 요구한다. 또한 네트워크에서 다양한 응용 서비스들을 제공하고 관리하기 위해서는 서비스 세션에 대한 관리도 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 여러 세션에 참여하여 공동 작업이 가능한 공유 작업 환경을 다자간 멀티미디어 서비스 세션의 제공, 제어 및 관리를 위한 메커니즘을 제공하는 CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture)기반의 COMUS(CORBA based Multiparty Multimedia System)와 자바 언어의 객체 지향 특성을 이용하여 구현하였다.
