The Development of High Power 3 Level Inverter based on FPGA

  • Three-level neutral point clamping (NPC) converter has been widely applied in high power drive system. And in this paper, a novel method is proposed to realize this algorithm based on FPGA, And the system is consist of two parts, the DSP part and FPGA part, the DSP part includes the control algorithms and the FPGA part works to generate and putout 12 PWM pulses. And the system is tested and verified using both simulation and experimentation.

Optimal Design of a PMLSM with 9 Pole 10 Slot for Detent Force Reduction (9극 10슬롯 구조의 영구자석 선형 동기 전동기의 디텐트력 저감을 위한 최적설계)

  • Detent force of a permanent magnet linear motor(PMLSM) consist of cogging and drag forces, and should be minimized for high precision control purpose applications. This paper shows that the cogging force can be reduced effectively by employing 9 pole 10 slot structure. The drag force is minimized by optimizing the total length and shape of the exterior teeth of armature core simultaneously by using($1+{\lambda}$) evolution strategy coupled with response surface method. After optimization, the optimized PMLSM is proven to reduce 95% and 92.6% of the cogging and total detent forces, respectively, and give 12% and 6.4% higher Back-emf and thrust force, respectively, compared with a conventional 12 pole 9 slot structure under the same condition. Additionally, Simulation results by the proposed optimum design are verified by the experiment results.

  • This paper describes an implementation of the DSP(Digital Signal Processor) based triangular carrier frequency modulated RPWM inverter drive system. The power spectrum of the noise emitted from the induction motor was measured in the anechoic chamber. The analysis of the sources for the acoustic noise and the effects of the noise reduction are confirmed by the measured spectra of the noise. Real-time RPWM along with the speed control was achieved by high speed DSP. By changing the center frequency and the bandwidth of the carrier, the proposed real-time RPWM scheme can be used as an efficient switching frequency band acoustic noise reduction method for the inverter drive system with variant load conditions.

  • BLDC 전동기는 선형적인 토크 대 전류, 속도 대 전압 특성을 갖고 있으며 기계적, 전기적인 잡음이 없고, 가감속 제어가 용이하며, 토크 대 관성의 비가 매우 높아 소형으로 높은 출력을 낼 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 전기자 전류의 전환(Commutation)시 고정자 권선의 인덕턴스 성분과 역기전력으로 인해 발생되는 전류 리플은 BLDC 전동기 토크리플의 중요한 원인이 된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 고속 연산이 가능하고 별도의 외부 메모리 없이 칩 하나로 모든 동작을 할 수 있는 TMS320LF2407 DSP칩을 사용, Hard-chopping PWM 방식을 이용하여 전류 리플을 감소시켰으며, 이를 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 증명하였다.

  • LPM(Linear pulse motor) was developed as a prototype. In this paper, the design results of prototype and its dynamic characteristics are shown. The prototype was designed by using permeance analysis and the thrust value was also confirmed by comparing with the analysis results of the finite element method. To verify the performance of LPM. dynamic characteristics were measured. In slewing characteristic of the LPM, the thrust value of prototype LPM is higher than commercial level. A X-Y table was structured as a application of the prototype LPM. A controller and user's interface was also developed. By using this control system, the position error of X-Y table was checked. The repeat position error in linear movement was under than ${\pm}$ 100 micron.

Development of Electric Hoist Device for Rack in Tobacco Bulk curing Barn (담배 벌크건조기의 래크용 전동발달기 장치 개발)

  • In order to save hanging labor hours and reduce work intensity for bulk curing of the flue-cured tobacco, and electric hoist was developed. It consists of a pair of square steel frames with side plates and rolling casters to move back and forth on the second tire of bulk barn, and wire rope type lift was attached to the beneath of its top center. The lift driven by DC motor could be controlled by operating switch with one limit switch and control box, and a scissors shaped gripper was deviced to grip tobacco rack to the end of wire rope. As the results of experiments with electric hoist, labor hours for hanging could be saved by 30 to 40% as compared with those in conventional method. With simple and light structure, it was possible for even woman to load the harvested tobacco, and it could be recommended for farmers to use this device with reasonable price.

  • In this paper, we present an exoskeletal haptic device named SKK Hand Master. This device is directly driven linkages actuated with small ultrasonic motors. By adopting ultrasonic motors that have advantageous features useful for cybernetic actuators, a compact haptic device containing whole driving packages can be established without additional power transmissions such as tendons. Methods for measuring joint postures and joint torques are developed and a new control strategy called PWM/PS is proposed to overcome intrinsic disadvantages such as hysteresis. Issues regarding design and construction of the device are addressed and several results of experiments for the evaluations of performance are included.

  • 본 논문은 압축기용 영구자석 동기전동기의 효율 개선을 위한 새로운 운전 제어 방법에 대해 제안한다, 일반적으로 냉장고용 압축기는 종래에 고정속도로 운전되는 유도기를 많이 적용해 왔으나 최근 고효율화, 고성능화의 요구증대로 영구자석 동기전동기를 적용하여 가변속 제어가 가능하도록 구성한다. 최근 냉장고의 경우 대용량화 고효율화의 요구로 인해 더 넓은 운전 범위 운전 특성이 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서 제안하는 제어 방법은 넓은 운전 제어 및 고효율 운전이 가능하도록 운전 속도에 따라 구형파 제어 및 정현파 제어가 전환이 되어 속도 및 부하조건에 따라 최적 제어가 이루어지는 방법을 제안한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 유도전동기의 V/F 속도제어 시 특정 구간에 발생하는 전류 리플 저감에 대한 방법을 제안한다. V/F 속도제어 시 특정 구간에 발생하는 전류 리플을 분석하고, 주파수에 따른 극전압 보상량을 결정하여 보상하였다. 극전압 보상을 통해 유도전동기의 전류 리플을 저감시켜 인버터의 효율적인 제어가 가능하게 하였다. 이를 15kW 유도전동기 시스템에 대한 실험을 통해 제안된 방법의 효율성을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 PMSM(Permanent magnet synchronous motor)의 MTPA(Maximum Torque Per Ampere) 운전을 고려한 V/f 제어 시 안정화 기법에 대해 제안한다. PMSM은 V/f 제어 시 부하 변동에 따라 탈조할 가능성이 있다. 제안된 기법은 안정도 개선을 위해 추정된 q축 전류를 이용하여 부하 변동정보를 얻고 이를 바탕으로 고정자 주파수를 변동하여 회전자 속도가 동기속도를 유지할 수 있는 안정화 기법을 적용하였다. 제안된 안정화 기법으로 저속 영역부터 약자속 영역까지 부하변동에도 안정적인 운전이 가능하도록 하였다. 1kW SPMSM의 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 기법의 효용성을 검증하였다.
