In recent, artificial immune system has become an important research direction in the anomaly detection of networks. The conventional artificial immune systems are usually based on the negative selection that is one of the computational models of self/nonself discrimination. A main problem with self and non-self discrimination is the determination of the frontier between self and non-self. It causes false positive and false negative which are wrong detections. Therefore, additional functions are needed in order to detect potential anomaly while identifying abnormal behavior from analogous symptoms. In this paper, we design novel network attack detection and response schemes based on artificial immune system, and evaluate the performance of the proposed schemes. We firstly generate detector set and design detection and response modules through adopting the interaction between dendritic cells and T-cells. With the sequence of buffer occupancy, a set of detectors is generated by negative selection. The detection module detects the network anomaly with a set of detectors and generates alarm signal to the response module. In order to reduce wrong detections, we also utilize the fuzzy number theory that infers the degree of threat. The degree of threat is calculated by monitoring the number of alarm signals and the intensity of alarm occurrence. The response module sends the control signal to attackers to limit the attack traffic.
This paper proposes an open-loop clock recovery circuit (CRC) using two high-Q dielectric resonator (DR) filters for 39.8 Gb/s and 42.8 Gb/s dual-mode operation. The DR filters are fabricated to obtain high Q-values of approximately 950 at the 40 GHz band and to suppress spurious resonant modes up to 45 GHz. The CRC is implemented in a compact module by integrating the DR filters with other circuits in the CRC. The peak-to-peak and RMS jitter values of the clock signals recovered from 39.8 Gb/s and 42.8 Gb/s pseudo-random binary sequence (PRBS) data with a word length of $2^{31}-1$ are less than 2.0 ps and 0.3 ps, respectively. The peak-to-peak amplitudes of the recovered clocks are quite stable and within the range of 2.5 V to 2.7 V, even when the input data signals vary from 150 mV to 500 mV. Error-free operation of the 40 Gb/s-class optical receiver with the dual-mode CRC is confirmed at both 39.8 Gb/s and 42.8 Gb/s data rates.
The cowl cross bar of an automobile is a frame component that is installed inside the cockpit module to provide a guide surface, to which functional components for electricity and air condition are attached. In the recent years, the geometries of cowl cross bars are getting more complex in order to meet the demands of a wide variety of embedded functional components and the reduced weight of frame parts with enhanced mechanical and noise/vibration characteristics. There for, welding processes between tubes with different diameters are widely conducted while the welded parts are experiencing various problems such as undermined appearance, low production efficiency and poor mechanical characteristics. Therefore, this paper seeks to develop an one-piece forming process which eliminate welding process for the cowl cross bar by applying the tube drawing process. However, it was predicted that a conventional tube drawing can not be applied directly to the current part since the area reduction ratio of the drawing process reaches 51.7% which exceeds the general limiting value. Therefore, in this study, a combined drawing process which adds a compressive force to a tensile force of the conventional drawing process was proposed and 2-stage drawing process was designed by using CAE analyses. In addition, drawing tryouts were carried out by using the manufactured combined drawing machine in order to verify the designed process.
This research is to analyze the spatial organization of a traditional rural community and its characteristics, the case of Hanbam village located in the north of Daegu city. The conclusions of this study are as follows; 1. The difference between private space and public space in the residential area of Hanbam village is obvious, and these two spaces are organically related each other by means of road. These spaces have some spatial characteristics of organization, such as center, hierarchy and sequence. 2. The private space consists of a residence module and a farming area in the settlement, and it is clearly farmed by the firm fence of rocks and by surrounding roads. Fruit-bearing trees such as Pyrus pyrifolia, Cornus officinalis, Diospyros kaki, Juglans sinensis are planted at the boundary. And most of residences are composed of a building, a inner court and farming fields. 3. The public space for the community mainly functions as ‘a meeting place’for residents, and consists of recreational spaces, ceremonial spaces, community facilities, and social facilities. Among these, Jeong-ja(pavilion), Seong-an Soop(forest) and Dae-chong(building for common use) are of great cultural value as important traditional spaces. 4. Two kinds of road are commonly fecund in the village; spontaneously generated one and planned one. This is straight inner streets and access paths to the village, and that is curvilinear alleys which are connected to Dae-chong, the core of village. Also stone walls and climbing plants on them are major elements of village landscape.
This paper presents a simple and cost-effective stand-alone rapid battery charging system of 30kW for electric vehicles. The proposed system mainly consists of active front-end rectifier of neutral point clamped 3-level type and non-isolated bi-directional dc-dc converter of multi-phase interleaved half-bridge topology with coupled inductors. The charging system is designed to operate for both lithium-polymer and lithium-ion batteries. The complete charging sequence is made up of three sub-interval operating modes; pre-charging mode, constant-current mode, and constant-voltage mode. The pre-charging mode employs the staircase shaped current profile to accomplish shorter charging time while maintaining the reliable operation of the battery. The proposed system is able to reach the full-charge state within less than 16min for the battery capacity of 8kWh by supplying the charging current of 67A. The optimal discharging algorithm for Vehicle to the Grid (V2G) operation has been adopted to maintain the discharging current of 1C. Owing to the simple and compact power conversion scheme, the proposed solution has superior module-friendly mechanical structure which is absolutely required to realize flexible power expansion capability in a very high-current rapid charging system.
The radiopharmaceutical synthesis for PET (positron emission tomography) is composed of chemical reactions using automated synthetical equipment. Due to the radioactive material, the automated equipment is being frequently developed to replace human operators who conduct dangerous, repetitive and dexterous operations. As to operation, the manipulating program is commonly coded using the spread sheet while the whole actuators are mapped in every step. The process map (program) is changed according to such parameters as temperature of reactor, keeping time, mixture sequence and amount of reagent. In cases of customizing the automated synthetical equipment or developing the new radiopharmaceuticals, lots of experiments should be conducted and the programming mistake is not allowed as it can lead abnormal control of the equipment to leak the radioactive materials. The exact process map has depended on trial and error manner. Thus, this study developed the methodology to tabulate the synthetical process to convert the process map automatically while the synthetical module formation is represented by a network model. The proposed method is validated using the actual radiopharmaceutical synthetical procedure.
Among 12 marine bacterial strains from the China coast that exhibited interesting bioactivity (positive for both antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities), only four strains, namely, NJ6-3-1, NJ6-3-2, NB-6, and YTHM-17, had a KS domain or A domain when screened for PKS and NRPS genes using a PCR. Interestingly, two of these strains belonging to Pseudoalteromonas and associated with the marine sponge Hymeniacidon perleve were positive for both PKS and NRPS, whereas the other two strains of Pseudoalteromonas did not have a PKS or NRPS gene. A molecular phylogeny analysis and DGGE analysis of the Pseudoalteromonas sp. indicated that they had a specific affinity with the host marine sponge Hymeniacidon perleve. Furthermore, an analysis of a partial sequence of Pseudoalteromonas sp. NJ6-3-2 isolated from the marine sponge Hymeniacidon perleve obtained from genomic walking using a computational approach indicated a relatively complete PKS module including auxiliary domains (DH, KR, and Cy).
Forty-four eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)-producing microbial strains were isolated from the intestines of marine fishes. Among them, one strain showing a maximum level of EPA (4.78% of total fatty acids) was identified as Shewanella sp. BR-2 on the basis of its 168 rRNA sequence. The EPA content reached a maximum level during the mid-exponential phase of cell growth, and gradually decreased with further growth of the cells. A cosmid DNA including the EPA biosynthesis gene cluster consisting of pfaA-E was isolated from a cosmid library of genomic DNA of Shewanella sp. BR-2, named pCosEPA-BR2. An E. coli clone harboring pCosEPA-BR2 produced EPA at a maximum level of 7.5% of total fatty acids, confirming the EPA biosynthesis activity of the cloned gene cluster.

Statement of problem. Fibronectin mediates its biological effects by binding to integrins on cell membranes through a consensus site including the Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) sequence within tenth type III module. Purpose. The purpose of our study was to investigate the adsorption affinity of human recombinant fibronectin peptide (hFNIII 9-10) to titanium and to investigate the effect of the surrounding ionic composition on the adsorption process. Material and methods. As for evaluating the affinity of hFNIII 9-10 to Ti, titanium disks were incubated in 40, 80 and $120{\mu}g/ml$ hFNIII 9-10 solution at $37^{\circ}C$ overnight, repectively. As for evaluating the effect of surrounding ionic concentration, hFNIII 9-10 was dissolved in distilled water, phosphate buffered saline and RPMI 1640. Optical density (O.D.) was measured in ELISA reader. Results. The results were as follows; 1. The adsorption of hFNIII 9-10 showed significantly highest mean optical density (O.D.) value in $80{\mu}g/ml$. 2. The difference of ionic composition in DW, PBS and RPMI did not influence the adsorption amount of hFNIII 9-10.

In this paper, the Timed Petri-Nets(TPN) modeling of Modular Cell Manufacturing Systems(MCMS) was investigated to overcome the limit of batch mode operation, which has been one of the most popular manufacturing types to produce an extensive industrial output and to be able to adopt to suitable and quickly changing manufacturing environments. A model of the MCMS was developed in reference to the actual TFT-LCD manufacturing system. TFT-LCD manufacturing system is not mass-productive in batch mode, but it operates in the form of MCMS which consists of a sequence of several cells with four processes of operation, including those of color filter(C/F), TFT, cell, and module. The cell process is further regrouped in those of Front-End and Back-End. For the Back-End cell process, it is reconstructed into a virtual model, consisting of three cells. The TPN modeling encompasses those properties, such as states and operations of machines, the number of buffers, and the processing time. The performance of the modeling was further examined in terms of scheduling system. The productivity in each cells was examined with respect to the change of failure rate of the cell machines and Automatic Guided Vehicles(AGV) using simulation by TPN.
