  • In the future, a machine-tool will be more improved in the form of a knowledge evolution based device. In order to develop the knowledge evolution based machine-tool, this paper proposes the structure of knowledge evolution and the scheme of a dialogue agent among agent-based modules such as a sensory module, a dialogue module, and an expert system. The dialogue agent has a role of interfacing with another machine for cooperation. To design of the dialogue agent module in M2M(Machine To Machine) environment, FIPA-OS and ping agent based on FIPA-OS are analyzed in this study. Through this, it is expected that the dialogue agent module can be more efficiently designed and the knowledge evolution based machine-tool can be hereafter more easily implemented.

  • Protected Circuit Module protects battery from over-charge and over-discharge, also prevents accidental explosion. Therefore, power MOSFET is essential to operate as a switch within the module. To reduce power loss of MOSFET, the on state voltage drop should be lowered and the switching time should be shorted. However there is trade-off between the breakdown voltage and the on state voltage drop. The TDMOS can reduce the on state voltage drop. In this paper, effect of design parameter variation on electrical properties of TDMOS, were analyzed by computer simulation. According to the analyzed results, the optimization was performed to get 65% higher breakdown voltage and 17.4% on resistance enhancement.

  • This paper introduces the T/RX combined compact active channel module which is a key unit of the active phased array antenna(APAA) system. This module is mainly compoased of two parts for TX and RX fabricated on both sides of the active module for size reduction. The TX-part is primarily composed of a 3-stage amplifier, a microstrip phase shifter, a thermal compensation and a power detection circuit. The RX-part is composed of LNAs a microstrip phase shifter and BPFs for TX power rejection. Using the proposed design structure we can realized a compact active channel module having high performance.

  • This paper describes the design of a NUC(Non-uniformity Correction) module in MSC(Multispectral Camera) which will be a payload on KOMPSAT. This module is required inside a system with data compression module like MSC to minimize the loss of imagery due to non-uniform characteristics between CCD pixels when the imagery is received and processed on a ground station.   • Recently, the growing market demand for small and slim mobile phone cameras requires the size reduction of the camera module. In this paper, an auto-focusing actuator for camera phones is proposed by converting the rotational motion by a rotary VCM actuator into the linear motion using a novel cam structure. This new concept for auto-focusing module enables the reduction of the module thickness and low power consumption. This paper presents the theoretical analysis and optimal design for VCM actuator, cam structure and preload spring. Finally, the experimental results using a prototype with the size of $9.9{\times}9.9{\times}5.9\;mm^3$ are compared with the theoretical predictions.

  • This paper presents a study on the design of a pulling module for silicon ingot and an apparatus of manufacturing silicon single crystal ingot using the same method. The pulling module is conceptually designed by using TRIZ. Czochralski method(CZ) is representative way to manufacture single crystal ingot for wafers. The seed can be broken by high tension which is caused by large weight of a silicon ingot. The solution of this problem has been derived using 6SC(6 steps creativity)TRIZ. The pulling module is actuated by DC motor and rollers. High tension in the seed is removed by the rotate-elevate motion of rollers in the pulling module. A rubber belt is included in the rotate-elevate mechanism for increasing friction between rollers and silicon ingot.

  • In this paper, the navigation computer design of RPV(remotely piloted vehicle) using GPS is investigated, and its hardware and software structures are described. The proposed hardware adopts the common PC configuration by using 5016A micro PC card and software is divided into several modules such as navigation module, guidance module and control module, etc. The performance of the navigation computer is verified through PILS(process in the loop simulation).

  • A low concentrating (< 5X) photovoltaic module with aluminum reflectors is fabricated and evaluated which is designed to reduce the affection of the high temperature to the solar cell modules preventing the efficiency lowering. As results, the output power is increased of 1.97X from the concentrating photovoltaic module which is designed with the concentrating ratio of 2.25X and to control the module temperature cooling the module by air circulation. Also, the effect of the concentrating module with aluminum reflectors on the conventional PV module is investigated at the field. The result shows the increase of the output power more than about 20% and the improvement of the module efficiency of 1.4X in spite of the increase of average module temperature.

  • Compressed Air is an important energy source used in most factories nowadays. The automation trend using air compressor has been gradually increasing with the interest of the 4th industry in recent years. With the air compressor system, it is possible to construct the device at low cost and easily achieve automation and energy saving. In addition, With trend of FA, miniaturation and light weight manufacturing trend expand their use in the electronics, medical, and food sectors. Research method is to design the technology for the remote control of the following information as USN base. Development of flexible sensing module from real time observation module for fusion of IT technology in compressed air systems, design and manufacture of flexible sensing module, and realiability assessment. Design of real-time integrated management system for observation data of compressed air system - Ability to process observation data measured in real time into pre-processing and analysis data. This study expects unconventionally decreasing effect of energy cost that takes up 60~70% of air compressor layout and operation and maintenance management cost through USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology by using optimum operational condition from real time observation module. In addition, by preventing maintenance cost from malfunction of air compressor beforehand, maintenance cost is anticipated to cut back.

  • In this paper, a method to identify components per unit task system is expressed with node, module, and interface. We define security subject per unit task system and explain node, module, and interface per component. According to the defined security standard in design phase, we also perform to design and elaborate security attributes for node and module as identified security subjects in their defined tables. And then we describe the composition standard for security attribute design with some examples, after classifying it into security subject, access subject, access control area, identification or verification area, and encryption.
