리브/웨브 형상을 갖는 부품의 단조품설계 자동화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Computer-Aided Forging Design for Rib/Web Shaped Parts)

  • This paper describes computer-aided forging design for rib/web shaped parts. In manufacturing a part by means of forging process, the first step is to design the forging. This is done by modifying the given machined part geometry according to the requirements of the forging process. Traditionally, this is done by experienced forging designers using empirical forging design guidelines. Generally, it would be neither possible nor practical to develop a system which encompasses the design of all types of forgings. Accordingly, forging design can be simplified by considering critical two dimensional cross sections of the machined part geometry. This system is composed of three modules(process variable decision module, forging design module and redesign module) and each module is carried out in regular sequence. In the process variable decision module, first of all, the undercut is checked and modified, and then deep recesses and holes difficult to forge are eliminated. Also parting line, forging plane, forging plan view area, forging weight and maximum size(maximum height or width)are determined. In the forging design module, the magnitude of various allowances, draft angle, minimum web thickness, corner and fillet radius are determined and then geometry modification is performed. Finally, since the design rules and databases used in this system are based on parameters of the forging geometry, such as the trimmed forging plan area, forging weight, forging maxmum size, plausible estimates need to be made for these parameters. Therefore, in the re-design module, the design process is iterated until a satisfactory forging is obtained.

  • This paper describes some research of Computer-Aided Process Planning and Die Design of Hot Forging for axisymmetric parts produced by the press. An approach to the system is based on knowledge based system. The system has been written in AutoLisp with personal computer. Knowledges for process planning & die design are extracted from the plasticity theories, handbooks, relevent references and empirical know-how of field experts in hot forging companies. The developed system is composed of five main modules, such as input module, process planning module, die design module, flow simulation module and output module which are used independently or in all. The final output is generated in graphic from. The developed system which aids designer provides powerful capabilities for process planning and die design of hot forging. This system also provides approximate flow pattern.

  • Thermoelectric power generation has emerged as a promising alternative technology because it offers a potential application in the direct conversion of waste heat into electric energy. The performance of thermoelectric power generator depends on thermoelectric materials and thermoelectric power module designs. The main objective of this study is to design a 100W thermoelectric generation (TEG) module and to get optimal operating conditions of the module. The design and performance of the TEG module will be presented.

  • A ship-block cutting module is being developed as part of a computational system for a ship design. The module supports product-information to other modules in design process and displays ship-blocks in cutting-operation. Welding-information is essential to process-planning and scheduling. In the module, ship-blocks are modeled by Plate-Objects and then divided into several cutting pieces. The module automatically creates Welding-Objects containing welding-information in the process. Since the module is connected to WWW(World Wide Web), users in various platforms can access the models simultaneously In addition, users can check manufacturing constraints by inspecting a virtual model.

  • The procedure of optimum design is consist of a system analysis module, an optimum design module and an optimizing method module. In this paper, the method to connect the system analysis module with the optimizing method module using the self script language of OPERA has been provided. Optimum design for a magnet whose central field must be 27 has been carried out with the presented method. OPERA Pre/Post-processor has been used as a system analysis module and mixed decent/gradient method as an optimizing method.

The goal of this study is to develop and Analysis of User's Convenience a cockpit prototype based on the design guide of cockpit integration module. The process of this study has been followed analyzing development trend of next generation Automotive cockpit, extracting the design factor needed to making integration module and laying down the design guide of cockpit integration module. Finally, this study is indicate an instance that evaluation of utilization with Integrated Automotive Cockpit Module System.

  • 본 논문에서는 실내 인테리어에 적용 가능한 조명 디자인을 기본으로 생각하고 연구하였으며 나아가 근린공원에 설치될 공익시설물을 대상으로 공공디자인의 목적도 함께 연구하여 합리적 사용을 추구하는 모듈형 가변식 실내조명 제품디자인을 연구하고자 한다. 이러한 연구를 위하여 모듈의 기본적인 개념을 알 수 있는 선행연구 고찰과 실내디자인에 적용 가능한 조명과 실내에 대한 선행사례를 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 본 연구에서는 모듈개념을 적용한 조명디자인의 새로운 컨셉을 도출을 위해 제품실무 개발을 위한 디자인 방향과 프로세스, 제품보관, 조립, 관리가 편리한 모듈 조립형 디자인을 제시하여 향후 조명디자인 개발에 관련된 합리적 유지관리 방향을 살펴보고 새로운 제품디자인개발에 반영할 수 있는 디자인 개발사례를 제시하였다. 또한 인지전략 프로세스를 통해 디자인을 진행하였으며 이러한 프로세스는 개념적 전략으로 실내환경 분석단계, 조명유지 보수단계, 가변형 메커니즘단계, 감성활성화 단계를 적용하여 연구를 진행하였다. 이러한 단계적특성은 디자인적인 조형적 아름다운과 접목시켜 MLD(Module Lamp Design) 전략을 제시하여 인간이 느낄 수 있는 공간에 대한 자유로운 적용을 모듈제품과 접목시키고 인간의 시각적접근과 바라보며 자유롭게 생각하는 개념적 가치를 담아 MLD인지전략 디자인 프로세스에 적용시켜 개발 하고자 하였다.

기어설계 자동화 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Automated Design System for Gear)

  • A computer aided expert system fur spur, helical, bevel and worm gears was newly developed by using AutoiCAD system and its AutoLISP computer language in the present study. Two methods are available for a designer to draw a gear. The first method needs the gear design parameters such as pressure, module, number of tooth, shaft angle, velocity, materials, etc. When the gear design parameters are inputted, a gear is drawn in AutoCAD system and maximum allowable power and shaft diameter are calculated additionally. The second method calculates all dimensions and gear design parameters to draw a gear when the information such as transmission, reduction ratio, nm, materials and pressure are inputted. The system includes four programs. Each program is composed of a data input module, a database module, a strength calculation module, a drawing module, a text module and a drawing edit module. In conclusion, the CAD system would be widely used in companies to find the geometric data and manufacturing course.

슁글드 디자인 고출력 양면수광형 단결정 실리콘 태양광 모듈 제작 (Fabrication of Shingled Design Bifacial c-Si Photovoltaic Modules)

  • Bifacial photovoltaic (PV) technology has received considerable attention in recent years due to the potential to achieve a higher annual energy yield compared to its monofacial PV systems. In this study, we fabricated the bifacial c-Si PV module with a shingled design using the conventional patterned bifacial solar cells. The shingled design PV module has recently attracted attention as a high-power module. Compared to the conventional module, it can have a much more active area due to the busbar-free structure. We employed the transparent backsheet for a light reception at the rear side of the PV module. Finally, we achieved a conversion power of 453.9 W for a 1300 mm × 2000 mm area. Moreover, we perform reliability tests to verify the durability of our Shingled Design Bifacial c-Si Photovoltaic module.

  • A design system of dies for hot extrusion of structural shapes such as Z's, L's, T's, U's and H's from aluminium alloys was developed in this study. The developed design system of dies is based of estimated die design rule system. The design rules for die design are obtained from the handbooks, plasticity theories and relevant references. The environment of the system is AutoCAD and AutoLISP, the graphic programming language was used for the configuration of the system. This system includes five major modules such as section shape design module, die opening number module, die opening layout module, die correction module and die bearing design module that are used to determine design variables. This system would be used to design of dies for hot extrusion from aluminum alloys and widely used in manufacturing course.
