This paper presents a novel 90 GHz band 16-quadrature amplitude modulation (16-QAM) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) communication system. The system can deliver 6 Gbps through six channels with a bandwidth of 3 GHz. Each channel occupies 500 MHz and delivers 1 Gbps using 16-QAM OFDM. To implement the system, a low-noise amplifier and an RF up/down conversion fourth-harmonically pumped mixer are implemented using a $0.1-{\mu}m$ gallium arsenide pseudomorphic high-electron-mobility transistor process. A polarization-division duplex architecture is used for full-duplex communication. In a digital modem, OFDM with 256-point fast Fourier transform and (255, 239) Reed-Solomon forward error correction codecs are used. The modem can compensate for a carrier-frequency offset of up to 50 ppm and a symbol rate offset of up to 1 ppm. Experiment results show that the system can achieve a bit error rate of $10^{-5}$ at a signal-to-noise ratio of about 19.8 dB.

The purpose of this study is to consider various characteristics in the graffiti-look in the modem fashion by interpreting meanings and properties of graffiti, transferred from street art to a new main stream in art. The scope of this study is limited to works from the 1990s to the present, and the materials for the literatures and exploratory study are fashion-related portfolios and the domestic and foreign fashion magazines. The first characteristic is satire. The graffiti-look conveys directly or indirectly with phrase or symbol various messages of politics, social ideology, wealth and poverty, environmental pollution, anti-war, etc. Body is even more used for graffitiand designers express freely their identity or ideology through the formative style of graffiti. The second characteristic is pleasure. Fantastic expressions from a fairy-tale or fable in the graffiti-look give humor meaning freedom and sense of liberation in a sense of catharsis to the modem people's emotion. The graffiti-look uses graffiti works to introduce its original message of humanism, happiness, humor, etc. to clothing; as a result, the graffiti-look features pleasure. The third characteristic iscommercial application. Brand logo designed by graffiti style is decorated with clothing, accessory, or ornament. This may not only emphasize brand name through lingual function of graffiti, but also be used for a distinctive marketing strategy against other brands. Logo which is regarded motive or pattern of design leaves a image instead of a meaning and performs a design function stressing formative sense.

본 논문에서는 운영체제에서 지원하는 PPP 프로그램이 없는, 즉 별도의 운영체제를 사용하지 않는 임베디드 시스템에서 글로벌스타 인공위성 모뎀을 이용하기 위한 PPP 프로그램을 작성하였다. 글로벌스타를 포함한 오브컴, 인말샛과 같은 많은 위성통신 시스템은 데이터 링크 구현을 위하여 그 자체의 인터페이스를 제공하고 있다. 글로벌스타 위성 시스템과 데이터 링크를 구현하기 위해서는 글로벌스타 위성에서 사용하는 PPP를 사용해야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 임베디드 프로세서 기반의 PPP를 구현하였으며, 이와 더불어 사용자 단말 장치를 개발하였다. 사용자 단말 장치는 다양한 응용분야에 사용될 수 있도록 여러 가지 입출력 장치 및 센서를 장착하여 설계 및 실현하였다. 실험 테스트를 통하여 이와 같이 구축된 모든 시스템은 글로벌스타 데이터 링크를 통해서 잘 동작함을 확인한다.

We developed a small, remote controlled observation ship that can reduce the cost of gathering data for marine and coastal environments. The control system is composed of three microprocessors, one is for overall mission control, another for control of propulsion motors, and the other for sensor operation. For communication system, we adopt direct and indirect methods based on the wireless modem of commercial cellular telephone. The former is a direct communication between the modems of the ship and the server, and the latter is an indirect communication via internet between the ship and the server. The performance of the ship is demonstrated with the results produced by sets of experiments.

This study is aimed at reviewing how the Orientalism trend is expressed in the modem fashion in terms of silhouette, color, materials, and detail. To this end, the geographic scope of this study is limited to China, Japan, Korea, while data are collected from fashion collections, domestic and foreign magazines since 2000's, literature, and internet sites. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. Silhouette: the basic square silhouette of the Oriental traditional costume do not disturb the body movement and have an effected on design to smoothly follow the body line rather than cutting out materials into several parts or emphasize the curved body. 2. Color: due to the influence of the Oriental Zen thought, color trend seems to pursue simplicity rather than complexity, and natural aesthetics. In addition, the Oriental colorfulness shall not be ignored. 3. Materials: golden embroidered material, polished satin, jersey, tough or rough materials, etc. have used with materials of the Oriental traditional costume came into fashion. In pattern, the Orientalism trend is expressive of pattern by Chinese ink-spread technique, simple brush touch technique, cloud pattern, lotus flower pattern or dragon pattern, all of which feature the Oriental calm aesthetics or those motivated by the Oriental traditional patterns. 4. Detail: the techniques of handicrafts and manual arts such as meticulous embroidery, tassel or patchwork reflect well the Orientalism trend in the modem fashion.

This paper covers that modem performance test is effected by traffic and analysis of the result in TETRA network. The SDS is a method of the between PEIs transmission. And only SDS message type-4 is used to test. The range of the SDS message data length is from 10 to 140 bytes with an increment of 10 bytes. For each length transmitted 1000 times for each delay of inter-transmissions 0.5 second, 1.0 second and 1.5 second. The modem used in the test is the Unimo MU-1000MD by UNIMO Corp.

Fetishism, which has been a taboo for a long time, is stimulating the modem people's emotions by being reborn as a fashion trend by a number of designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood and Claud Montana. Especially, Jean Paul Gaultier, called the bad boy of the fashion industry, is leading the Paris fashion world by expressing his unique fetish elements with his fantastic and uncommon ideas-males' wearing of skirts, wearing underwear like outer garments. Therefore, this study is aimed at investigating how his fetishism is shown in his works, understanding his fetish fashion world in the modem fashion and offering a new stepping-stone for fashion designers to actively participate in new fashion areas. Its results are as follows. First, it was found that the sensual designer Jean Paul Gaultier has been expressing his unique fetish elements in his collections like the following three styles of fetishism-fetishism by physical emphases, fetishism by items, fetishism by material. Second, the symbols of voluptuous beauty reflecting his own fetishism could be found in his movie costumes, license areas and given plots. Third, the work describing Jean Paul Gaultier's fetishism as a fetish image with the concept of Fantasy of Missing was evaluated as a successful work to express an internal sexual desire.

Ecological traces appearing in contemporary architecture are based on modern architecture and most aspects on the contemporary architecture are related with the successive trend or break of the modern architecture. The concept of environment in the modern age has established clear destination, as it has been considered as nature. The architecture under a mechanical world view in the modem age has sustained the opposing connection with nature as environment. However, there have been architects maintaining the sympathy with nature in that vortex. This trend has been regarded as same context as ecological architecture and estimated to the outpost of ecological characteristics appearing in the contemporary architecture. This study is to make it clear that the ecological manifestation in the contemporary architecture is based on the ecology in the modem architecture through considering ecological ideals of architects in the modern architecture and considering space composition and structural properties in the modern architecture of ecological paradigm. The scope of this study contains spacial analysis, design strategy, and design types of organic architecture in nature, which has appeared from the modern age. First, the division into period is carried out according to the organic tendency of non-mainstream in the modern architecture: Arts and Crafts Movement, Art Nouveau, Sezession, Expressionism, Organic Architecture, Regionalism, Internationalism. Therefore, this study is significant to be on the search for a start to suggest ecological point of view to architectural space in modern architecture and is search organic characteristics for ecological characteristics in modern architecture; organic relation, thermal buffer space, regionalism, multi-layer, energy efficiency.

Urban is made over a long period of time. In the process, architecture involves design characteristics of age and place. In the case of modem western style architecture, just depend on the economic logic, they are continuously threatened during urban changes. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to recognize modern western style architecture as valuable things, which represents color of urban, and to seek how it can be reused. This is a process in order to find a new method for conservation and reuse of modern western style architecture. The result are as followings. Modern western style architecture must be recognized as resource, which expresses identity of urban, and found a method for conservation and reuse of facade at least. So we need to search design characteristics of facade. It has been analyzed that assigned modem western style architecture in seoul can be divided into 6 groups. Each group has individual characteristics of facade expression, which is 'dormer', 'vent', 'balustrade', 'cornice', 'dome', 'tower', etc in top part, and 'the shape of window and door', 'the element of ornament', 'finish', etc in middle part.

다양한 종류의 기록물 중 전자매체를 제외한 고유한 형태의 문서 자료를 보존하는 데 있어 중요한 요인이 되는 생산된 종이 재질에 포함된 PH 함유량, 온${\cdot}$습도를 위시한 서고내 보존 환경을 소개하며, 실제 소장중인 문서가 폐손되었을 때 적용하는 래미네이팅 문서 수선법 등을 소개하여 낙후된 국내 기록보존 분야에 대한 단초를 제공하여 기록물 관련 유관 기관들이 기록물의 정보 제공 및 박물관 역할을 함께하는 문화 유산의 보고로 자리 매김을 하게 하는 것이다.
