Activity-based models analyze individuals' various daily activities that are identified as a decision-making unit for transportation planning. In other words, it is the model that determines the types of activities according to the social, economic and situational characteristics of the groups with the same activity patterns and predicts individuals' activity time, distance, spatial movement and transportation mode. The activity-based model is a method of estimating more efficient and realistic demand in transportation forecasting because traffic is regarded as a complex decision-making process that an individual and other people participate in. In this paper, we grasp the factors affecting choice behavior of activity pattern and analyze choice behavior of activity pattern based on multi-dimensional characteristic of each person. First, we classify activity types of reviewing the trip chain and activity purpose. Next, we identified preferable activity types using complicated characteristics of main agent of activity. We concluded that choice behavior of activity pattern is dependent on complex characteristics of each agent, and further multi-dimensional characteristics of each person are affected over the whole decision process of activity schedule.
The purpose of this study was to find the characteristics of travel behavior and accessibility in terms of spatial structure. We analyzed travel behaviors and accessibility using a mode choice model and the Complementary Accessibility Index(CAI). The urban spatial structures that were compared were a compact city (CC) versus a sprawled city (SC), and high residential density districts (HD) versus low residential density districts (LD). First, CC and HDs residents had a shorter commuting distance than the CC and LDs residents. Second, behavior models showed that the use of Private cars for commuting in SCs was found to be greater than private car use in CCs, and that public transportation modes would be encouraged in CCs. Third, changes associated with the time and cost of commuting by private car generally affect the demand for public transportation modes in the CC. Also, analysis of cross elasticity suggests that changes of subway travel time affect the demand for buses very elastically. Fourth, the CAI of SC and LD were superior to the CC and HD even though the SC inefficient urban forms in terms of spatial structure. So, the spatial distribution of population density was also found to be an important factor affecting accessibility and energy savings.

Consider a time interval during which the demand for trips is fixed (e.g. the rush hour period). The traveller has a choice between various public modes, whose travel times and fares are fixed, and the automobile mode, for which travel time and cost depend on the volume of traffic flow on those roads, which are subject to congestion. We consider the equilibrium in terms of a representative travellerm, who choses for any trip the mode and route with the least combined money and time cost. When several (parallel) model or routes are chosen, then the combined cost of money and time must be equal among these. Our problem is first, to find the optimal flows of cars and of public mode carriers on the various links of their networks and second the optimal fares for trips by the variousmodes. The object is to minimize the total operating costs of the carriers and car plus the total time costs to travellers. The optimal fares are related to, but not identical with the dual variables of the underlying Nonlinear Program. They are equal to these dual variables only in the case, when congestion tolls on trips or on the use of specific roads are collected from automobile users. When such tolls are not collected, they must be passed on as subsidies to travellers using competing modes. The optimal fares of public modes are then reduced by the amounts of these subsidies. Note that subsidies are not a flat payment to public carriers, but are calculated on the basis of tickets sold. Fares and subsidies depend in general on tile period considered. They will be higher during periods of higher demand. When the assumption of fixed trip demand is relaxed, this tare system is no longer best, but only second best since too much traffic will, in general, be generated. The Free Rider Theorem states the following : Suppose road tolls can be charged, so that a best pricing system for public modes is posssible. Then there may exist free rides on some routes and modes, but never on a complete round trip.
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to observe the relative priorities of importances among the modified versions of Block chain system, being based on AHP decision support model which should be also proposed in this paper. Design/methodology/approach Four versions modified from the beginning of Block chain were divided into Public& Permissionless, Private&Permissionless, Public&Permissioned and Private&Permissioned types. Five criteria for evaluating the four versions whether the version were suitable for Medical information system were introduced from five factors of Technologies Accept Model, which were Security, Availability, Variety, Reliability and Economical efficiency. We designed Decision support model based on AHP which would select the best alternative version suitable for introducing the Block chain technology into the medical information systems. We established the objective of the AHP model into finding the best choice among the four modified versions. First low layer of the model contains the five factors which consisted of Security, Availability, Variety, Reliability and Economical efficiency. Second low layer of the model contains the four modified versions which consisted Public&Permissionless, Private&Permissionless, Public&Permissioned and Private& Permissioned types. The structural questionnaire based on the AHP decision support model was designed and used to survey experts of medical areas. The collected data by the question investigation was analyzed by AHP analysis technique. Findings The importance priority of Security was highest among five factors of Technologies Accept Mode in the first layer. The importance priority of Private&Permissioned type was highest among four modified versions of Block chain technologies in second low layer. The second importance priority was Private&Permissionless type. The strong point of Private&Permissioned type is to be able to protect personal information and have faster processing speeds. The advantage of Private& Permissionless type is to be also able to protect personal information as well as from forging and altering transaction data. We recognized that it should be necessary to develop new Block chain technologies that would enable to have faster processing speeds as well as from forging and altering transaction data.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explain the pivotal role of the travel forecasting process in urban transportation planning. This study emphasizes the use of travel forecasting models to anticipate future traffic. Method: This study examines the methodology used in urban travel demand modeling within transportation planning, specifically focusing on the Urban Transportation Modeling System (UTMS). UTMS is designed to predict various aspects of urban transportation, including quantities, temporal patterns, origin-destination pairs, modal preferences, and optimal routes in metropolitan areas. By analyzing UTMS and its operational framework, this research aims to enhance an understanding of contemporary urban travel demand modeling practices and their implications for transportation planning and urban mobility management. Result: The result of this study provides a nuanced understanding of travel dynamics, emphasizing the influence of variables such as average income, household size, and vehicle ownership on travel patterns. Furthermore, the attraction model highlights specific areas of significance, elucidating the role of retail locations, non-retail areas, and other locales in shaping the observed dynamics of transportation. Conclusion: The study methodically addressed urban travel dynamics in a four-ward area, employing a comprehensive modeling approach involving trip generation, attraction, distribution, modal split, and assignment. The findings, such as the prevalence of motorbikes as the primary mode of transportation and the impact of adjusted traffic patterns on reduced travel times, offer valuable insights for urban planners and policymakers in optimizing transportation networks. These insights can inform strategic decisions to enhance efficiency and sustainability in urban mobility planning.

As function and scale of the transit center get larger, the efficient guidance system in the transit center is essential for transit users in order to find their efficient routes. Although there are several studies concerning optimal path for the road, but insufficient studies are executed about optimal path inside the building. Thus, this study is to develop the algorithm about optimal path for car owner from the basement parking lot to user's destination in the transfer station. Based on Dijkstra algorithm which calculate horizontal distance, several factors such as fatigue, freshness, preference, and required time in using moving devices are objectively computed through rank-sum and arithmetic-sum method. Moreover, optimal public transportation is provided for transferrer in the transfer station by Neuro-Fuzzy model which is reflected on people's tendency about public transportation mode choice. Lastly, some scenarios demonstrate the efficiency of optimal path algorithm for pedestrian in this study. As a result of verification the case through the model developed in this study is 75 % more effective in the scenario reflected on different vertical distance, and $24.5\;{\sim}\;107.7\;%$ more effective in the scenario considering different horizontal distance, respectively.
It is widely recognized that the value of travel time (VOT) plays an important role both in choosing the transportation alternatives on an individual level, and in analyzing and evaluating transportation plans and other public policy makings on a collective level. There is, however, a great deal of difficulties to correctly estimate the VOT. In addition, although there are lots of methods to estimate the VOT so for, not many recommendations have been presented to reflect the localities associated with the VOT derivation in Korea. This study aims at deriving the VOT for different trip purposes and travel modes with their significances tested. To accomplish this purposes, a logit-based travel mode choice model based on revealed preference (RP) data has been formulated, calibrated using the discrete choice model of LIMDEP package for various trip purpose models. For each trip purpose and travel mode, the VOT has been calculated along with the significance testing of the derived VOTs. From the results given in this research, the VOTs for different purposes and modes are identified different, and they are statistically significant. The updated results here in this paper may be a yardstick in evaluating the transportation plans and policies by providing more detailed VOT information for different categories, especially in urban context.
This study introduces a new type of a modal split model that use zonal data instead of cost data as independent variables. It has been indicated that the ones using cost data have deficiencies in the multicollinearity of travel time and cost variables and unpredictability of independent variables. The zonal data employed in this study include (1) socioeconomic data, (2) land use data and (3) transportation system data. The test results showed that the proposed modal split model using zonal data performs better than the other does.
This study is focused on traditional market's competitiveness in Korea. Ever since the Korean retail industry had been opened to the big conglomerates, the traditional markets have faced very serious competition from various types of distribution channels. In particular, this study has been conducted to find another way to help the Korean traditional market from the perspective of college students who are consumers of the future. This study examines the relationships among store choice attributions, consumption emotion, consumer's value, and relationship quality from the perspective of college students. In order to verify the relationship, and moderating and mediating effects, data were collected from 126 college students in Whasung, Gyeonggi Province to test the theoretical model and its hypotheses. The results of this study are as follows: First, service (= .263, p < .01) and advertising (= .188, p < .05) are significantly positively related to relationship quality. However, store atmosphere (= .176, p = .052) is not statistically significantly related to relationship quality. The result that students have stereotypes about the atmosphere of traditional markets and are therefore excluded from their store choice attributions can be expected. Second, college students selected service division (= .230, p < .05) as the most important factor among the traditional market's store choice attributions. This result reflected that enhancing service strategy would strengthen the traditional market against discount stores. The process of product selection by customers in discount stores is based on the concept of self-service. However, traditional market traders can make various contacts with their customers. If traditional market traders can enhance various service factors just like in the process of product selection, it will effect strong competitive advantages. Third, it is also revealed that consumer's value exhibit complete mediation effect in the relationships between service and advertising. These results showed that traditional markets must be considered for consumer value. Because previous studies showed that values refer to "enduring belief that … specific mode of conduct or end-stat of existence … personally or socially preferable to an opposite of converse mode of conduct or end-state of existence" (Rokeach, 1973; George and Jones, 1996). Furthermore, Schwartz (1994) defined values as desirable trans-situational goals, varying in importance, that serve as guiding principles in the life of a person or other social entity. As conceptions of desirable end-states of existence or modes of conduct, values help people choose, evaluate, and give meaning to their experiences (Rokeach, 1973). Efforts (e.g. promote the consumers value) of the traditional market traders will improve the preferences for the traditional market of consumers and college students. Implications and future research directions are also discussed.
The Korea high speed train was launched from Seoul to Busan of 1st construction phase at 1st April, 2004. In the middle of this study, I choose to analyse Seoul-Cheonan/Asan stations, Seoul-Deajeon stations, Seoul-Deagu stations, Seoul-Pusan stations. This study have a information to analyse among as like movement of population, status of employee structure, usage of land, movement inland transportation mode. I sure that this study will lead to helpful prediction both 2nd phase of Kyoung-bu high-speed railway and Ho-nam high-speed railway in advance.
