In this paper, we propose an efficient full mesh topology aggregation method in PNNI networks. The proposed scheme can search multi-links efficiently using the depth priority method based on hop count instead of searching the all links. To do this, we propose a modified line segment algorithm using two line segment method that represents two points which consist of delay-bandwidth pair to reduce topology information and provide a flexibility to the multiple-links aggregation. And we apply it to current full mesh topology aggregation. To evaluate performance of the proposed scheme, we compare/analyze the current method with the proposed scheme with respect to call success rate, access time and crank back rate. The result is that the proposed scheme is better than the current scheme in performance.
Radiation has stochastic aspects in its generation, its choice of interaction mode during traveling in media, and its impact on living bodies. In certain circumstances, like in high dose environments resulting from low-LET radiation, the variance in its impact on a target volume is negligible. On the contrary, in low dose environments, especially when they are attributed to high-LET radiation, the impact on the target carries with it a large variance. This variation is more significant for smaller target volumes. Microdosimetric techniques, which have been developed to estimate the distribution of radiation energy deposited to cellular and subcellular-sized targets, contrast with macrodosimetric techniques which count only the average value. Since cells and DNA compounds are the critical targets in human bodies, microdosimetry, or dose estimation by microscopic approach, helps one better analyze the biological effects of radiation on the human body. By utilizing microbeam systems designed for individual cell irradiation, scientists have discovered that human cells exhibit radiosensitive reactions without being hit themselves (bystander effect). During the past 10 or more years, a new therapeutic protocol using discontinuous multiple micro-slit beams has been investigated for its clinical application. It has been suggested that the beneficial bystander effect is the essence of this protocol.
This study proposes a dual-output single-stage bridgeless single-ended primary-inductor converter (DOSSBS) that can completely remove the front-end full-bridge alternating current-direct current rectifier to accomplish power factor correction for universal line input. Without the need for bridge diodes, the proposed converter has the advantages of low component count and simple structure, and can thus significantly reduce power loss. DOSSBS has two uncommon output ports to provide different voltage levels to loads, instead of using two separate power factor correctors or multi-stage configurations in a single stage. Therefore, this proposed converter is cost-effective and compact. A magnetically coupled inductor is introduced in DOSSBS to replace two separate inductors to decrease volume and cost. Energy stored in the leakage inductance of the coupled inductor can be completely recycled. In each line cycle, the two active switches in DOSSBS are operated in either high-frequency pulse-width modulation pattern or low-frequency rectifying mode for switching loss reduction. A prototype for dealing with an $85-265V_{rms}$ universal line is designed, analyzed, and built. Practical measurements demonstrate the feasibility and functionality of the proposed converter.

Ingestion of raw animal liver has been suggested as a possible mode of infection of human toxocariasis, We evaluated the relationship between toxocariasis and the ingestion of raw meat in patients with eosinophilia of unknown etiology. The study population consisted of 120 patients presenting with peripheral blood eosinophilia (> $500\;cells/{\mu}l$ or > 10% of the white blood cell count). They were divided into 2 groups: 104 seropositive patients based on a Toxocara excretory-secretory IgG ELISA and 16 seronegative patients. While 25.0% of seronegative patients had a recent history of eating raw cow liver, 87.5% of seropositive patients had this history. Multivariate statistical analysis showed that a recent history of eating raw cow liver was related to an increased risk of toxocariasis. Collectively, it is proposed that raw cow liver is a significant infection source of toxocariasis in the patients with eosinophilia of unknown etiology.
A single-beam gamma densitometer is utilized to measure the average void fraction in a small diameter stainless steel pipe under critical flow conditions. A typical design of a single-beam gamma densitometer is composed of a sealed gammaray source, a collimator, a scintillation detector, and a data acquisition system that includes an amplifier and a single channel analyzer. It is operated in the count mode and can be calibrated with a test pipe and various types of phantoms made of polyethylene. A good average void fraction is obtained for a small diameter pipe with various flow regimes of the core, annular, stratified, and bubbly flows. Several factors influencing the performance of the gamma densitometer are examined, including the distance between the source and the detector, the measuring time, and the ambient temperature. The void fraction is measured during an adiabatic downward two-phase critical flow in a vertical pipe. The test pipe has an inner diameter of 10.9 mm and a thickness of 3.2 mm. The average void fraction was reasonably measured for a two-phase critical flow in the presence of nitrogen gas.
A trust-aware secure routing protocol (TSRP) for wireless sensor networks is proposed in this paper to defend against varieties of attacks. First, each node calculates the comprehensive trust values of its neighbors based on direct trust value, indirect trust value, volatilization factor, and residual energy to defend against black hole, selective forwarding, wormhole, hello flood, and sinkhole attacks. Second, any source node that needs to send data forwards a routing request packet to its neighbors in multi-path mode, and this continues until the sink at the end is reached. Finally, the sink finds the optimal path based on the path's comprehensive trust values, transmission distance, and hop count by analyzing the received packets. Simulation results show that TSRP has lower network latency, smaller packet loss rate, and lower average network energy consumption than ad hoc on-demand distance vector routing and trust based secure routing protocol.

Since Au-Pt alloys have various atomic structures depending upon composition and annealing temperature, it is very interesting to investigate the electronic structures of alloys. We studied the changes of the electronic structure I the Au-Pt alloys by x-ray absorption near edge spectroscopy (XANES). Two kinds of Au-Pt alloy samples were prepared by arc melting methods and ion-beam-mixing technique. The Pt L2, 3-edge and Au L2, 3-edge X-ray absorption spectra (XPS) were measured with the electron yield mode detector at the 3C1 beam line of the Pohang Light Source (PLS). It was found that there was a substantial decrease in the area of the Pt L2, 3 white lines compared with that of pure Pt. The observed decrease in white line area was attributed to an increase in the number of pure Pt. The observed decrease in white line area was attributed to an increase in the number of 5d-electrons at the Pt site upon alloy formation. However, the Au L2, 3 edge spectra for Au-Pt alloys are all similar to that of pure Au. This implies that the 5d hole count of Au is not changed by alloy formation with Pt.
Purpose: Gallium-68 (68Ga) is increasingly used in nuclear medicine imaging for various conditions such as lymphoma and neuroendocrine tumors by labeling tracers like Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) and DOTA-TOC. However, compared to Fluorine-18 (18F) used in conventional nuclear medicine imaging, 68Ga has lower spatial resolution and relatively higher Signal to Background Ratio (SBR). Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the optimized parameters and reconstruction methods for PET/CT imaging using the 68Ga radiotracer through model-based image evaluation. Materials and Methods: Based on clinical images of 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT, a NEMA/IEC 2008 PET phantom model was prepared with a Hot vs Background (H/B) ratio of 10:1. Images were acquired for 9 minutes in list mode using DMIDR (GE, Milwaukee WI, USA). Subsequently, reconstructions were performed for 1 to 8 minutes using OS-EM (Ordered Subset Expectation Maximization) + TOF (Time of Flight) + Sharp IR (VPFX-S), and BSREM (Block Sequential Regularized Expectation Maximization) + TOF + Sharp IR (QCFX-S-400), followed by comparative evaluation. Based on the previous experimental results, images were reconstructed for BSREM + TOF + Sharp IR / 2 minutes (QCFX-S-2min) with varying β-strength values from 100 to 700. The image quality was evaluated using AMIDE (freeware, Ver.1.0.1) and Advanced Workstation (GE, USA). Results: Images reconstructed with QCFX-S-400 showed relatively higher values for SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), CNR (Contrast to Noise Ratio), count, RC (Recovery Coefficient), and SUV (Standardized Uptake Value) compared to VPFX-S. SNR, CNR, and SUV exhibited the highest values at 2 minutes/bed acquisition time. RC showed the highest values for a 10 mm sphere at 2 minutes/bed acquisition time. For small spheres of 10 mm and 13 mm, an inverse relationship between β-strength increase and count was observed. SNR and CNR peaked at β-strength 400 and then decreased, while SUV and RC exhibited a normal distribution based on sphere size for β-strength values of 400 and above. Conclusion: Based on the experiments, PET/CT imaging using the 68Ga radiotracer yielded the most favorable quantitative and qualitative results with a 2 minutes/bed acquisition time and BSREM reconstruction, particularly when applying β-strength 400. The application of BSREM can enhance accurate quantification and image quality in 68Ga PET/CT imaging, and an optimization process tailored to each institution's imaging objectives appears necessary.

In this study, we investigated the particle formation during the deposition of borophosphosilicate glass (BPSG) and phosphosilicate glass (PSG) films in thermal chemical vapor deposition reactor using in-situ particle monitor (ISPM) and particle beam mass spectrometer (PBMS) which installed in the reactor exhaust line. The particle current and number count are monitored at set-up, stabilize, deposition, purge and pumping process step in real-time. The particle number distribution at stabilize step was measured using PBMS and compared with SEM image data. The PBMS and SEM analysis data shows the 110 nm and 80 nm of mode diameter for BPSG and PSG process, respectively.
In this research, damage behavior of singly oriented ply (SOP) fiber metal laminate (FML) subjected to concentrated load was studied. The static indentation tests were conducted to study fiber orientation effect on damage behavior of FML. During the static indentation tests, acoustic emission technique (AE) was adopted to study damage characteristics of FML. AE signals were obtained by using AE sensor with 150kHz resonance frequency and the signals were compared with indentation curves of FML. The damage process of SOP FML was divided by three parts, i.e., crack initiation, crack propagation, and penetration. The AE characteristics during crack initiation show that the micro crack is initiated at lower ply of the plate, then propagate along the thickness of the plate with creating tiber debonding. The crack grow along the fiber direction with occurring 60∼80dB AE signal. During the penetration, the fiber breakage was observed. As fiber orientation increases, talc fiber breakage occurs more frequently. The AE signal behaviors support these results. Cumulative AE counts could well predict crack initiation and crack propagation and AE amplitude were useful for the prediction of damage failure mode.
