  • The traditonal inpatient acute hospital setting is organized primarily for the intensive management of disease, but not well-suited for continuity of care for the chronically ill patients after being discharged from hospital. For the planning of the continuity of care, firstly, it is necessary to assess the home care needs of the discharged pateints in the context of the nursing diagnosis. Therefore, this study is designed to identify the home nursing care need trajectory of the patients with chronic illness after discharged from one of the the General Hospitals in Seoul, Korea. The subjects are the patients with chronic illness such as stroke, musculoskeletal disease, hypertension, cancer etc., in average age of 52. 2 years old. The findings of this study are as follows : 1) The limitaion of ADL has been constantly facing to the subjects and has not been changed 4 weeks after being discharged. And the sense of with-drawal was getting worse at 4th weeks than the 1st week after being discharged. 2) The lists of the patient's problems are the impairment of mobility, elimination pattern, inactivity, impairment of skin integrity, ineffective airway clearance, and potential anxiety, self concept deficit, ineffective family coing, etc. Those problems were diminished in quantity at the first week after discharged, but at the 4th week, those problems were getting worse. 3) The need of specialized nursing care such as tube feeding, ostomy care, $O_2$ inhalation, IV therapy, teaching and exercise are considered as the most consisting problems facing to the subjects. 4) In general, the chronically ill patients and their caregivers have not been adapted well even at the 4th weeks after being discharged. 5) Considering those findings, the basic care for patients should be given and the trainging for process of the adaptation after discharged should be encouraged prior being discharged from hostital. For this suggestion, the systematic discharge planning should be carried and the hospital based home nursing model should be implemented at the general hospital for the chronically ill patients.

  • The purpose of this study is to contribute the use of special taxi for the transportation vulnerable such as elderly and pregnant woman in terms of improving transportation mobility and extending social participation. We analyzed the DB users of STS system operating in Suwon, and surveyed the preference statement. Specifically, we have built transportation mode choice models for the elderly and pregnant woman, and then we drew the activating STS plan by comparing influence factors for each model. Based on the results of the study, 23% of STS user was the elderly people and pregnant women, 31% of user was for hospital passage purpose, and short-haul passage within 2 ~ 5km was 70% level of the passage. According to preference survey results between STS and Bus, fare was the highest impact factor in the mode choices for the elderly, and the participants who are older and car owners have been found to prefer the special taxi. For the pregnant woman, travel time and fare were the main influence factors of choices, and it was discovered that they preferred the special taxi when they are car owners and trips was frequented. Also, if the fare of special taxi is about 70% of the regular taxi fare, The share rates of Special Taxi comparing to bus for the elderly and pregnant woman are analyzed to be 51.1% and 63.6% each. Therefore, the adjustment of the fare would be effective to encourage the use of the special taxi. The results of this study can be used as a basis for establishing the rational fare structure of the special taxi.

  • A stoichiometric mixture for $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal was prepared from horizontal electric furnace. The $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal was grown in the three-stage vertical electric furnace by using Bridgman method. The $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal was evaluated to be tetragonal by the power method. The (001) growth plane of oriented $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal was confirmed from back-reflection Laue patterns. The carrier density and mobility of $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal measured with Hall effect by van der Pauw method are $8.61\times 1016 \textrm {cm}^{-3}$ and 242 $\textrm{cm}^2$/V.s at 293 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation, $1.4750ev - (7.69\times10^{-3})\; ev/k)\;T^2$/(T + 2147k).The crystal field and the spin-orbit splitting energies for the valence band of the $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal have been estimated to be 0.2704 eV and 0.1465 eV, respectively, by means of the photocurrent spectra and the Hopfield quasicubic model. These results indicate that the splitting of the $\Delta$so definitely exists in the $\Gamma_7$ states of the valence band of the $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal. The three photocurrent peaks observed at 10 K are ascribed to the $A_{1-} B_{1-}$ and Cl-exciton peaks for n = 1.

  • Soil-water characteristic curve, which is called soil retention curve, is required to explore water flows in unsaturated soils, relative permeability of water in multi-phase fluids flow, and change to stiffness and volume of soils. Thus, the understanding of soil-water characteristic curves of soils help us explore the behavior of soils inclduing fluids. Biopolymers are environmental-friendly materials, which can be completely degraded by microbes and have been believed not to affect the nature. Thus, various biopolymers such as deacetylated power, polyethylene oxide, xanthan gum, alginic acid sodium salt, and polyacrylic acid have been studies for the application to soil remediation, soil improvement, and enhanced oil recovery. PAA (polyacrylic acid) is one of biopolymers, which have shown a great effect in enhanced oil recovery as well as soil remediation because of the improvement of water-flood performance by mobility control. The study on soil-water characteristic curves of sandy soils containing PAA (polyacrylic acid) has been conducted through experimentations and theoretical models. The results show that both capillary entry pressure and residual water saturation dramatically increase according to the increased concentration of PAA (polyacrylic acid). Also, soil-water characteristic curves by theoretical models are quite well consistent with the results by experimental studies. Thus, soil-water characteristic curves of sandy soils containing biopolymers such as PAA (polyacrylic acid) can be estimated using fitting parameters for the theoretical model.

  • In this paper, we propose a Route Stability-based Direction Guided Routing protocol(RSDGR) in mobile ad-hoc wireless networks. The main features and contributions of the proposed routing protocol are as follows. First, it can calculate link stability between two nodes as well as route stability of multi hop quantitatively by using nodes' mobility. And this protocol can establish the most stable path between a source node and a destination node. Second, according to the route stability between a source node and a destination node, it can control and optimize the direction guided region dynamically for route setup. Third, we suggest theoretical model for quantitative calculation of link stability between two nodes and route stability of multi hop path. The performance evaluation of the proposed routing protocol is performed by simulation using OPNET(Optimized Network Engineering Tool) and theoretical analysis. The results of performance evaluation show that the patterns of PDR are similar in simulation and analysis according to route stability. The faster mobile nodes' velocity and the smaller source node's direct guided reigion, the lower route stability and PDR and the higher delay and control overhead related to this.

  • A stoichiometric mixture of evaporating materials for AgInS₂ single crystal thin films was prepared from horizontal electric furnace. To obtain the single crystal thin films. AgInS₂ mixed crystal was deposited on thoroughly etched semi-insulating GaAs(100) substrate by the Hot Wall Epitaxy(HWE)system. The source and substrate temperatures were 680℃ and 410℃, respectively. The crystalline structure of the single crystal thin films was investigated by the photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction(DCXD). The carrier density and mobility of AgInS₂ single crystal thin film mea-sured from Hall effect by van der Pauw method are 9.35×10/sup 16/㎤ and 294㎠/V·s at 293K respectively. The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the AgInS₂ obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation , E/sub g/(T)=2.1365eV-(9.89×10/sup-3/eV/K/)T²(T+2930K). The crystal field and the spin-orbit splitting energies for the valence band of the AgInS₂ have been estimated to be 0.1541eV and 0.0129 eV, respectively, by means of the photocur-rent spectra and the Hopfield quasicubic model. These results indicate that the splitting of the Δso definitely exists in the Γ/sub 5/ states of the valence band of the AgInS₂ /GaAs epilayer. The three photo-current peaks ovserved at 10K are ascribed to the A₁-, B-₁and C₁-exction peaks for n=1.

  • A stoichiometric mixture of evaporating materials for $CuAlSe_{2}$ single crystal thin films was prepared from horizontal electric furnace. To obtain the single crystal thin films, $CuAlSe_{2}$ mixed crystal was deposited on thoroughly etched semi-insulating GaAs(100) substrate by the hot wall epitaxy (HWE) system. The source and substrate temperatures were $680^{\circ}C$ and $410^{\circ}C$, respectively. The crystalline structure of the single crystal thin films was investigated by the photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction (DCXD). The carrier density and mobility of $CuAlSe_{2}$ single crystal thin films measured with Hall effect by van der Pauw method are $9.24{\times}10^{16}cm^{-3}$ and $295cm^{2}/V{\codt}s$ at 293 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the $CuAlSe_{2}$ obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation, $E_{g}(T)$ = 2.8382 eV - ($8.68{\circ}10^{-4}$ eV/K)$T^{2}$/(T + 155 K). The crystal field and the spin-orbit splitting energies for the valence band of the $CuAlSe_{2}$ have been estimated to be 0.2026 eV and 0.2165 eV at 10 K, respectively, by means of the photocurrent spectra and the Hopfield quasicubic model. These results indicate that the splitting of the ${\Delta}so$ definitely exists in the ${\Gamma}_{5}$ states of the valence band of the $CuAlSe_{2}$. • The aim of this study was to investigate the soil physical properties and the traction characteristics of paddy field before tillage by a computer simulation. Soil physical properties, such as soil moisture content, bulk density, soil hardness, and soil texture were measured in the twelve rice production area. Mathematical model based on dimensional analysis which include soil physical properties and vehicle factors was used for the computer simulation. Most of the soil texture of the investigated area was silty loam, loam and silty clay loam. Soil moisture content ranged between 20 and 40% mostly. Soil bulk density was in the range of 1,500 to $1,700kg\;m^{-3}$. Soil hardness ranged between 2 to $12kg\;cm^{-2}$ mostly. Soil hardness incorporates the effects of many soil physical properties such as moisture content, texture and bulk density, and so the range of soil hardness was greater than that of any other physical properties. The predicted net traction was in the range of 70 to 1,500 kgf depending on the area, but it was above 1,000 kgf for most of the investigated area. Thus it was concluded that 50 HP tractor can pull the four row moldboard plow considering the conventional tillage depth and width. But for the soft soil area such as Andong and Namyang, tractor itself may have mobility problem and show high slip during plowing operation.
