In this paper, based on the mode analysis of four-conductor lines, the extended mixed-mode chain-parameters and S-parameters of four-conductor lines are estimated using current division factors. The extended mixed-mode chain-parameters of cascaded four-conductor lines are then obtained with mode conversion. And, the extended mixed-mode S-parameters of cascaded four-conductor lines can be predicted from the transformation of the extended chain-parameters. Compared to the extended mixed-mode S-parameters of four-conductor lines, the cross-mode S-parameters are induced in the extended mixed-mode S-parameters of cascaded four-conductor lines, due to the imbalanced current division factors of cascaded two sections. The generated cross-mode S-parameters make the equivalent different- and common-mode conductors not independent from each other again. In addition, a new mode conversion, which applies the imbalanced current division factors, between the extended mixed-mode S-parameters and standard S-parameters is also proposed in this paper. Finally, the validity of the proposed extended mixed-mode S-parameters and mode conversion is confirmed by a comparison of the simulated and estimated results of shielded cable.

This research was accomplished to evaluate possibility of using paper sludge for the raw materials of wood based panel products. The experimental panels were manufactured by four mixed ratios, the proportion of paper sludge to wood particle: 20:80, 30:70, 40:60, 50:50% (oven dry weight basis) and by three composition types, sludge-particle mixed board, three layered sludge-particle board and three layered particle board. They were tested mechanical (bending strength and internal bond) and physical properties (water absorption, thickness swelling and linear expansion). From the results they were shown that bending strength of mixed and three layered sludge-particle board were decreased with increasing of composition ratios of sludge. And the mechanical and physical properties of the boards of three layered composition types have superior to those of mixed composition type. Although composition ratios of sludge increased, the internal bond strength and dimensional stability of sludge-particle board not decreased quantitatively. We concluded that the mechanical and physical properties of three layered sludge-particle board were similar w those of three layered particle-board (control) made by our laboratory design. Therefore, it was recognized that paper sludge can be used as potential raw material in particle-board manufacturing industry.

This paper concerns with the problem of mixed model assembly sequencing using neural net. In recent years, because of two characteristics of it, massive parallelism and learning capability, neural nets have emerged to solve the problems for which more conventional computational approaches have proven ineffective. This paper proposes a method using neural net that can consider line balancing and grouping problems simultaneously. In order to solve the mixed model assembly sequencing of the motor industry, this paper uses the modified ART1 algorithm.

This paper deals with structured singular value and mixed sensitivity problem for robust performance. We derive the sufficient condition that mixed sensitivity problem satisfies structured singular value in robust performance problem. And we show the bound of perturbation between structured singular value and norm of mixed sensitivity functions.

In this paper, we introduce the 2-variable mixed-type Hermite polynomials and organize some new symmetric identities for these polynomials. We find induced differential equations to give explicit identities of these polynomials from the generating functions of 2-variable mixed-type Hermite polynomials.

In this paper, we find induced differential equations to give explicit identities of these polynomials from the generating functions of 2-variable mixed-type Hermite polynomials. Moreover, we observe the structure and symmetry of the zeros of the 2-variable mixed-type Hermite equations.

The original mixed multiplicity theory considered the class of mixed multiplicities concerning the terms of highest total degree in the Hilbert polynomial. This paper defines a broader class of mixed multiplicities that concern the maximal terms in this polynomial, and gives many results, which are not only general but also more natural than many results in the original mixed multiplicity theory.

In this paper we study the theory of knotoids and braidoids and the theory of pseudo knotoids and pseudo braidoids on the torus T. In particular, we introduce the notion of mixed knotoids in S², that generalizes the notion of mixed links in S³, and we present an isotopy theorem for mixed knotoids. We then generalize the Kauffman bracket polynomial, <; >, for mixed knotoids and we present a state sum formula for <; >. We also introduce the notion of mixed pseudo knotoids, that is, multi-knotoids on two components with some missing crossing information. More precisely, we present an isotopy theorem for mixed pseudo knotoids and we extend the Kauffman bracket polynomial for pseudo mixed knotoids. Finally, we introduce the theories of mixed braidoids and mixed pseudo braidoids as counterpart theories of mixed knotoids and mixed pseudo knotoids, respectively. With the use of the L-moves, that we also introduce here for mixed braidoid equivalence, we formulate and prove the analogue of the Alexander and the Markov theorems for mixed knotoids. We also formulate and prove the analogue of the Alexander theorem for mixed pseudo knotoids.
