  • The purpose of this study was to assess students’ preference on set menus served in school foodservice. Questionnaires were distributed to 4,050 students enrolled in 34 middle and high schools located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gyeongnam provinces. The students were asked to assess their preferences on 78 set menus using a 5-point Likert-type scale(1 : very dislike - 5 : very like). Excluding responses with significant missing data, usable responses were 3,433. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance. There was no difference between middle and high school students in terms of set menu preferences. On the other hand, there was significant difference between boys' and girls' set menu preferences. Among the seven given set menu groups(rice and soup with side dishes, tangs, rice with toppings, fried rice, western foods, noodles.ddeokguk.dumpling soups, and bibimbaps), boys had higher preference scores for the rice and soup with side dishes, tangs, rice with toppings, and fried rice than that of girls. • During the period of rapid industrial growth, specialized high schools were important vocational education institutions trained specialists and technicians. But now, specialized high schools turned into high schools where the low-ranking students who were pushed out of the competition for admission due to a decline in the education population, changes mostly in labor demand in the labor market, and discrimination against skilled workers. In order to solve this problem, the middle school 3rd grade teachers in charge of the middle school can provide early career guidance, so that they can decide to go to the specialized high school according to their aptitude and talent rather than their grades. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between general characteristics and perception of middle school 3rd grade teachers, and the rate of decision to enter specialized high school. In 2018, The middle school 3rd grade teachers in charge in Daejeon metropolitan city were selected. The results of this study were as follows: When 3rd grade teachers in charge are the male teachers 21.01%(M=.2101) of their students go to specialized high schools. When they are teachers who have not graduated from college of education(M=.2110), with doctoral degree(M=0.3064), of their students go to specialized hight schools. Finally, there was a significant positive relationship between perceptions of high school teachers (β1 = .245, p = .000) and high school graduates (β2 = .149, p = .027). The regression equation derived from this is y = -0.56 + 0.037 * β1 + 0.025 * β2 10.1% (R2 = 0.101).

  • This research attempts to analyze the physical characteristics of middle school girls and compare the product sizes and patterns of school uniform blouses by brand. And wearing tests were performed regarding the appearance of blouse by bland. The results are follows. The standard deviation for bust circumference and waist circumference of middle school girls measured in 2004 were showed extremely large difference among individuals compared to the previous results. While waist back length reached adult size by $2^{nd}$ grade high school, bishoulder length reached adult size by $2^{nd}$ grade middle school. And girls after $2^{nd}$ grade middle school had their depth and breadth of bust, underbust circumference and bust circumference growing proportionally. These results need to be reflected in producing a pattern drafting for middle schoolers. By comparing wearing test results on appearance, it was shown that in terms of ease of bust circumference, the expert group evaluated brand with less ease as not having adequate ease compared to brand, while the middle schooler group evaluated as having sufficient ease. The front silhouette also showed same results. This reflects the preference for appearance by the middle schooler group, which is a factor to be considered during pattern drafting of school uniform blouse.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the progression of Cobb's angle of middle school students according to the Risser grade changes during a one-year follow up period, and to identify the prevalence rate and related factors regarding scoliosis. Method: A total of 2,124 middle school students were preliminarily screened by the Adam's forward bending test. Among them, 21 adolescents diagnosed with scoliosis (above 5Cobb's angle) by X-Raying were the subjects and followed up for checking Cobb's angle and the Risser grade for one year. Results: The overall prevalence of scoliosis in middle school students was 2.13% and the prevalence in girls was higher than in boys. The Cobb's angle was significantly high in seniors and girls. The cases in low angle and low Risser grade demonstrated significant changes in progressive Cobb's angle compared to the cases in high angle and high Risser grade after one-year. But gender and pattern of curvature were not significantly different from the changes scoliosis angle after one-year. Conclusion: Based on these study results, juniors in low Risser grade were inclined to aggravate scoliosis despite the low degree of curvature at the first measurement.
