단결정 다이아몬드 공구에 의한 Corner Cube 가공 시, 형상정밀도에 미치는 동 도금층의 경도의 영향 (Plating hardness and its effect to the form accuracy in shaping of corner cube on cu-plated steel plate using a single diamond tool)

  • This article presents machining experiments to assess the relationship between the profile accuracy and the workpiece hardness using a natural diamond tool on an ultra-precision diamond turning machine. The study is intended to secure a corner cube prism pattern for reflective film capable of high-quality outcomes. The optical performance levels and edge images of corner cubes having various hardness levels of the copper-coated layer on a carbon steel plate are analyzed. The hardness of the workpiece has a considerable effect on the profile accuracy. The higher the hardness of the workpiece, the better the profile accuracy and the worse the edge wear of the diamond tool.

  • In this paper, Wire electric discharge grinding(WEDG) method for manufacturing the micro shaft was introduced and the machining characteristics was investigated. from the experimental results, it was concluded that high surface integrity could be obtained by use of dielectric fluid spraying method and small capacitive condenser.

  • In this study, shape optimization of micro-static mixer with a cantilever beam was accomplished for mixing the mixing efficiency by using successive response surface approximations. Variables were chosen as the length of cantilever beam and the angle between horizontal and the cantilever beam. Sequential approximate optimization method was used to deal with both highly nonlinear and non-smooth characteristics of flow field in a micro-static mixer. Shape optimization problem of a micro-static mixer can be divided into a series of simple subproblems. Approximation to solve the subproblems was performed by response surface approximation, which does not require the sensitivity analysis. To verify the reliability of approximated objective function and the accuracy of it, ANOVA analysis and variables selection method were implemented, respectively. It was verified that successive response surface approximation worked very well and the mixing efficiency was improved very much comparing with the initial shape of a micro-static mixer.

  • In this paper, the digital model of the micro-factory has been established, inspected and evaluated by progress of assembly, manipulation and examination. The new paradigm of the system analysis is realized by digital simulation of the factory. The digital manufacturing system of the micro-factory was simulated through UML(Unified Modeling Language) with the object-oriented logical model analysis method and then the micro lens module assembly system was simulated with MST(Micro System Technology) Application Module.

  • Recently optical and electric and electronic forms in the field of ultra fine patterns has been used extensively, and techniques of the optical parts are required that can precision-machine this micro-patterns such as V or R-shaped micro-groove patterns. In this study, V and R type, shaping the way micro groove brass machining process to characterize the material feed rate and cutting depth and the V and R as a variable brother, using two kinds of diamond tools for each picture shape and surface roughness caused by conditions such as chips, processed through the analysis of effects of geometry and analysis such as precision machining.

  • This paper presents the fabrication possibility of the micro actuator which uses a micro-thermal bubble, generated b micro-heater under pulse heating. The valve-less micropump using the diffuser/nozzle is consists of the lower plate, he middle plate, the upper plate. The lower plate includes the channel and chamber are fabricated on high processability silicon wafer by the DRIE(Deep Reactive Ion Etching) process. The middle plate includes the chamber and diaphragm d the upper plate is the micro-heater. The Micropump is fabricated by bonding process of the three layer. This paper resented the possibility of the PCR chip operation by the fabricated micropump.

  • In order to design micro-fan appropriately, flow chacracteristics and mechanics should be carefully considered. The present work concerns with design procedure for a micro-fan using NACA(National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) airfoil series. The generation of fan profiles is carried out automatically by defining related parameters, which is also converted to CAD/CAM data automatically. The optimal parting surface for the mold of micro-fan is also calculated by analyzing the geometric data numerically. As a consequence, the high capacity micro-fan can be developed successfully with a high-quality and an improved efficiency.

미세 캐비티 방전 가공에서 바닥면 형상 왜곡 (Distortion of the Bottom Surface in Micro Cavity Machining Using MEDM)

  • As mechanical components are miniaturized, the demand on micro die and mold is increasing. Micro mechanical components usually have high hardness and good conductivity. So micro electrical discharge machining (MEDM) is an effective way to machine those components. In micro cavity fabrication using MEDM, it is observed that the bottom surface of cavity is distorted. Electric charges tend to be concentrated at the sharp edge. At the center of the bottom surface, debris can not be drawn off easily. These two phenomena make the bottom surface of the electrode and workpiece distort. As machining depth increases, the distorted shape of electrode approaches hemisphere. This process is affected by capacitance and the size of electrode. By using a smaller electrode than the desired cavity size and appropriate tool movement, bottom shape distortion can be prevented.

  • The complex three-dimensional miniature components are needed for a wide range of applications from the aerospace to the biomedical industries. To manufacture these products, micro machining that can make a high aspect ratio part and has good accuracy is widely researched. In this paper, cutting characteristics were analyzed in micro machining using cutting force coefficients, which are the specific cutting force for normal and frictional direction of rake surface. From measured cutting force in micro end milling, cutting condition independent cutting force coefficients were determined and used for analysing the characteristics of micro cutting.   • Existing manufacturing system has consumed too much energy, space and resource in micro parts manufacturing. To improve this, micro factory system is suggested. But it is difficult to get the high reliability in the assembly, production and inspection of the minute parts because the construction of the micro factory has been started just before. In this study, we will build the digital manufacturing simulation on the micro factory's process and verify the production and assembly process using this simulation.
