  • This study examined the procedures and legal issues for introduction and current Salary-structures and methods for system introductions centered around Seoul Metro which is railway related public company along with the background on introducing Salary-peak system and national/international situations according to the changes in paradigms. Base on these, the study deduced presented plans for improving corporate competitiveness by the introduction of Salary-peak system such as target for applications and ages for Salary-peak and the rate of fall, plans for adjusting duties to present optimum plans according to the introduction of Seoul Metro Salary-peak System.

시판생약(市販生藥)의 진균분포(眞菌分布)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Distribution of Fungi in Market Herbal Drugs)

  • 21 herbal drugs registered in K.P. III were tested for contamination of fungi and isolation of aflatoxin producible strains. Initially contaminated fungi were Aspergillus group (41.28%) and Penicillium (47.26%) and the other fungi were contaminated somewhat. The most frequent isolation of Aspergillus group was Cnidii Rhizoma and that of Penicillium was Piperis Fructus nigri. Cnidii Rhizoma was the most contaminated drug and Cassiae Cortex was the least among them. Aspergillus flavus was isolated from 10 samples and Aspergillus parasiticus was detected in Glycyrrhizae Radix, Phellodendri Cortex. Aspergillus ochraceus was isolated from only Scutelariae Radix, and Fusarium nivale was isolated from Cnidii Rhizoma and Torreya Semen. None of Aspergillus and Penicillium was detected in only Coptidis Rhizoma. No strains of Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus isolated from were produced aflatoxin.

  • Presently metro in our country has higher rate of passengers as a public transportation of urban area than other transportations. And road is under very restrictive condition to be expanded in many aspects because the streets are completely choked. Therefore increase of capacity in metro and reduction of headway has been seriously required and utmost efforts has been taken by related fields to meet the requirements. The concept of CBTC system came out from this background. CBTC system can be implemented to detect t location without using the track circuits. It h advantages in aspects of signalling equipments and maintenance. This study investigated exa radio communication system and applicable norms in other countries.   • The OCC of Seoul Metro whose operation began in 1974 is in charge of conveying 4,000,000 passengers across 117 subway stations in travel zones of 134.9Km in length. It continues to strive to ensure passenger safety by applying state-of-the-art-technology to each control system without delay. The power control center especially designed to provide power system operations for all stations of Seoul Metro(Line 1 to 4) and the rolling stocks implements preventive safety systems with the real time power system operational information on changes in conditions from the field through the power SCADA system(41 substations, 117 stations, 137 terminal units). This paper reports the differences of each line's power SCADA system(power SCADA systems of Seoul Metro(Line 1 to 4)), the roles and functions of the system, and the system operating characteristics and limits from the standpoint of the operator.

  • More than 3.4 million people use Hong Kong metro a day. It was first constructed in 1979, and extended to 9 operating lines with 168.1km length operated by Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway Corporation (MTR). In Hong Kong, airborne viruses such as avian influenza (bird's flu) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), air pollution by high-density traffics, bacteria and mold due to relatively high humidity are major concerns on air quality management. In this study, we focused on the cases for improving indoor air quality conducted by Hong Kong MTR currently. The case includes the photocatalytic coatings on knobs (or hand straps) to prevent outbreak of bird's flu and SARS, the high voltage ionizers installed at metro platform, and the periodical radon monitoring.

  • Urban railway carries large numbers of passengers during the rush hour. According to the announcement of Ministry of Land Transport and Maritime Affairs(MLTM), 221% of the congestion rate is reported in the SeoulMetro No.2 outer circle line from sadang to bangbea between eight and nine o'clock in the morning. This study analyzes the cause of the client's dissatisfaction about SeoulMetro such as the train delay, and decides the preference rank of the alternatives for congestion alleviation and enhancement of the transport capacity using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).

  • Recently, in the metro railways, researches on the skip-stop operation and development of the double deck train-set are active, which is to improve the service quality through reducing the passenger travel time and suppling seating service. Constructing new line or reforming the existent line needs huge amount of budget. Therefore, previous to start these large scale projects, scrutiny on benefit improvement, cost reduction and those optimal trade-off is indispensable. In this paper, a quantitative analysis to determine the optimal train service patterns and train-sets necessary is proposed, under the skip-stop operation condition in the metro railways. The analysis models are formulated in mathematical programming model, and tested validity using the LINGO 7.0.

  • This Report explains a plan for the application and construction about BOM(Bill Of Material) in charge of primary part of the RIMS(Rolling-Stock Information Maintenance System) maximizing the RIMS's reliability. The BOM system of the Seoul Metro is accomplished the frequent changes of the structure and design through the OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) and the maintaining and repairing work and also The BOM system is constructed so that Seoul Metro can solve all problems of the composition change, Rolling-Stock construction, changeful history management. In addition the BOM system of the Seoul Metro is considered the applicative side of the technical data, information of the material, expediency and hindrance analysis.

The concept of CBTC system came out from this background. CBTC system can be implemented to detect the train location without using the track circuits. It has many advantages in aspects of signalling equipments build-up and maintenance. This study investigated examples of radio communication system and applicable standard norms in other countries. And it also reviewed the suggestion for the establishment of radio frequency and radio network to be considered for application train control system by radio under Korean metro environment.

  • This research tries to analyze and investigate the effects of the noise reduction test for the sound-absorbing materials installed tentatively on Metro Line 5. Though the noise reduction effects of each sound-absorbing material showed that there was about $2{\sim}5\;dB$ compared with before and after of the tentative installation, it shows that the noise reduction effects are reducing because of the section change condition such as dust absorption and the rail abrasion as time passes after the tentative installation. Also, many difficulties are occurring in the maintenance of the orbit facilities because of the installation of sound-absorbing materials. Though various abroad products for noise reduction are imported like this, the researches for the noise reduction effect increase for this and the improvement direction are being required because of the poor circumstance of the efficiency aspect compared to the economic investment effect because those are not suited to the character of domestic Metro.
