  • This study aims to provide direction for the brand goals approaching and analyzing previous studies in social psycholog y perspective, focusing on man and society relationship. 526 preceding 'brand space' associated papers from 1992 to 2012 were collected and analyzed them by year, by space and by theme utilizing the realism methodology, the theor etical relationship methodology. The numbers of the study for 'brand space' had increased gradually from 2003 to 2010 then climbed vertically and the most common study was about place, that shows there is a relationship between variou s social phenomena and human psychology. For the thematic analysis, 'Social psychological components of the brand' based on social psychology was used for analyzing the cognitive aspects, the relational aspects, and the attitudinal aspects. The most common study was the study of the cognitive aspects, and relational aspects, and lastly the attitud inal aspects in order. The strategy was the most common research for the brand associated study. The ultimate point of the strategy is to get 'attitude'. From social psychology perspective, there is a cycle in the minds of consumers, 'Identification', 'Internalization', 'Conformity' and 'Compliance'. Structure of these relationships can provide a clue that consumers' attitude lead the consumers' action.

  • This paper deals with finding the optimal ratio of height and length of Single-Sided Linear Induction Motors (SLIM) using Finite Element Method (FEM) for magnetic field analysis coupled with optimal design methodology. For effective analysis, FEM is conducted in time harmonic field which provides steady state performance with the fundamental components of voltage and current. The ratio of height to length providing the required output power is obtained by Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and optimal values are presented by the variation in output power. When output power is small, the ratio is high and as the power increases, the ratio shows a converged value. Considering the general application of linear motors, using a small ratio can be limiting, however, the shape ratio for maximum thrust can be identified.

  • The study was designed to determine optimum extraction conditions, by the factorial design of 3 variables and 3 levels using an a RSM program. To determine the optimal conditions for the extraction of black tea with chamomile, the experimental design was applied. The independent factors were the extraction temperature ($60^{\circ}C$, $80^{\circ}C$, $100^{\circ}C$), extraction time (2 min, 4 min, 6 min), and chamomile addition (0.3%, 1.0%, 1.7%). By the RSM (response surface methodology) analysis of the black tea with chamomile extraction, we found that the extraction temperature greatly affected the extraction yield, brix, pH, and reducing sugar, caffeine, theobromine and theophillin contents. The optimum extraction time, temperature, and chamomile content were 4 min, $90^{\circ}C$, and $1.6{\sim}1.7%$, respectively.

  • This study aims to present a non-face-to-face teaching methodology for the theory and practical lessons of design majors, especially for the arts and sports field. It was conducted to improve the existing teaching models after the non-face-to-face online lectures which began with COVID-19. Various existing smart learning methods such as online classes, interactive classes, and flip learning were reviewed, and a method to efficiently manage practical skills by supplementing the shortcomings of each study was suggested. 4 stages of teaching development - setting a teaching method, teaching progress, evaluation, and follow-up management-were designated and applied to the class of design majors. The result showed that it is effective in terms of teaching method and progress; however, the limitations of non-face-to-face classes were found in the stages of evaluation and follow-up management. Therefore, it is expected that further research on evaluation and follow-up management, such as specific practical instruction methods is required to improve completion.

  • Research on highly abstracted system modeling and simulation has received a great deal of attention as of the concept of platform based design is becoming ubiquitous. From a practical design point of view, such modeling and simulation must consider the following: (i) fast simulation speed and cycle accuracy, (ii) early availability for early stage software development, (iii) inter-operability with external tools for software development, and (iv) reusability of the models. Unfortunately, however, all of the previous works only partially addresses the requirements, due to the inherent conflicts among the requirements. The objective of this study is to develop a new system design methodology to effectively address the requirements mentioned above. We propose a new transaction-level system modeling methodology, called ViP (Virtual Platform). We propose a two-step approach in the ViP method. In phase 1, we create a ViP for early stage software development (before RTL freeze). The ViP created in this step provides high speed simulation, lower cycle accuracy with only minor modeling effort.(satisfying (ii)). In phase 2, we refine the ViP to increase the cycle accuracy for system performance analysis and software optimization (satisfying (i)). We also propose a systematic ViP modeling flow and unified interface scheme based on utilities developed for maximizing reusability and productivity (satisfying (ii) and (iv)) and finally, we demonstrate VChannel, a generic scheme to provide a connection between the ViP and the host-resident application software (satisfying (iii)). ViP had been applied to several System-on-a-chip (SoC) designs including mobile applications, enabling engineers to improve performance while reducing the software development time by 30% compared to traditional methods.

  • There m many noise sources in living environment. Especially, noise that happen in apartment or tenement house may make neighborhood serious troubles. Thus, the development of new materials to reduce and improve the living noises is required. During past decade, various methodologies have been developed and researched to reduce and improve the living noises. However, there are many problems to apply these methodologies to practical our environment. In this thesis, we develop the new artificial material supporting high porous materials and lower pressure density to improve the problem caused in the safety design and sound absorbing material. To prove the efficiency of the developed methodology, we compare our methodology with conventional methodologies and also suggest an alternative methodology to contribute quiet life environments.

  • The basic goal of CALS is to improve transactions and relationships among organizations through information sharing and integration. CALS is an information strategy which needs strong cooperation between organizations or between users and developers in design step. However, current design methodologies using IDEF models, that are considered to be standard for CALS system development, has some limitations. For example, it is difficult for system developers to communicate with counterparts by IDEF model since IDEF models are difficult for counterparts to understand. In this paper, we suggest a development methodology for GALS systems by complementing IDEF model with Document Trace Diagram, which we developed as a communication tool, The concept of Document Trace Diagram stems from the fact that most information exchanged within or between organizations is in the form of documents and most standard operating procedures of organizations are about processing the documents. It helps system developers identify functions and their ICOMs (Input, Control, Output, Mechanism) with ease and little communication cost. With this methodology, we have constructed the GALS prototype system for construction industry.
