역상 액체크로마토그래피에 의한 1-(2-Pyridylazo)-2-Naphthol과 킬레이트를 형성하는 금속이온의 분리 (Reversed-Phase Liquid Chromatographic Separation of Metal Ions by Chelate Formation with 1-(2-Pyridylazo)-2-Naphthol)

  • 1-(2-Pyridylazo)-2-Naphthol (PAN)은 많은 금속이온들과 착색된 착물을 형성함으로 분광시약 또는 금속지시약으로 널리 사용된다. 본 연구는 PAN을 이동상에 첨가하여 Cu(II), Ni(II) , Zn(II), Co(II) , 및 Fe(III)이온들과 착물을 형성시켜 역상 액체크로마토그래피법으로 분리하였다. 이들 금속착물들은 570nm에서 분광광도 검출기로 검출되었고, 이들 금속이온의 머무름을 조사하기 위하여 이동상의 pH, 이온세기 및 유기용매 조성의 변화에 따른 크로마토그램과 용량인자를 측정하였다. 이상의 실험결과에서 얻은 최적조건하에서 금속이온을 분리한 결과 좋은 크로마토그램을 얻었으며, 검출한계(S/N)도 ppb단위까지 검출이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

볼로미터형 적외선 센서의 신호처리회로 설계 및 특성 (Design and analysis of a signal readout integrated circuit for the bolometer type infrared detect sensors)

  • This paper proposes a readout integrated circuit (ROIC) for $32{\times}32$ infrared focal plane array (IRFPA) detector, which consist of reference resistor, detector resistor, reset switch, integrated capacitor and operational amplifier. Proposed ROIC is designed using $0.35{\;}{\mu}m$ 2P-4M (double poly four metal) n-well CMOS process parameters. Low noise folded cascode operational amplifier which is a key element in the ROIC showed 12.8 MHz unity-gain bandwidth and open-gain 89 dB, phase margin $67^{\circ}$, SNR 82 dB. From proposed circuit, we gained output voltage variation ${\Delta}17{\};mV/^{\circ}C$ when the detector resistor varied according to the temperature.

  • The objective of this paper is to discuss technologies on assessing reliability of arc detectors by composing a system that generates and simulates occurrence of arc caused by loss of contact between pantographs and contact wires in a laboratory condition. In order to establish the arc simulator, a device that generates light having the bandwidth of arcs that occur between carbon-metal. The simulator was designed under conditions of EN 50317 and simulations were conducted using the developed device. According to the results, it was possible to conduct certification tests following regulations of international standards and the precision of the simulator was satisfactory. The proposed arc detector assessment system is expected to enhance precision of current collection quality performance assessment methods at high-speed lines and conventional lines while being referred as fundamental technologies for development of detectors suiting international conditions.

  • This paper describes NDIR $CO_2$ gas sensor that shows the characteristics of temperature compensation. It consists of novel optical cavity that has two elliptical mirrors and a thermopile detector that includes ASIC chip in the same metal package for the amplification of detector output voltage and temperature sensor. The newly developed sensor modules shows high accuracy (less than +/-40 ppm) throughout the measuring concentration of $CO_2$ gas from 0 ppm to 2,000 ppm. After implementing the calculation methods of gas concentration, which is based upon the experimental results, the sensor module shows high accuracy less than +/- 5 ppm error throughout the measuring temperature range $(15^{\circ}C\;to\; 35^{\circ}C)$ and gas concentrations.

  • This paper describes a design for a 2.5Gb/s serial data link CMOS transceiver based on the InfiniBand$^{TM}$ specification. The transceiver chip integrates data serializer, line driver, Tx PLL, deserializer, clock recovery, and lock detector. The designed transceiver is fabricated in a 0.25 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS mixed-signal, 1-poly, 5-metal process. The first version chip occupies a 3.0mm x 3.3mm area and consumes 450mW with 2.5V supply. In 2.5 Gbps, the output jitter of transmitter measured at the point over a 1.2m, 50Ω coaxial cable is 8.811ps(rms), 68ps(p-p). In the receiver, VCO jitter is 18.5ps(rms), 130ps(p-p), the recovered data are found equivalent to the transmitted data as expected. In the design for second version chip, the proposed clock and data recovery circuit using linear phase detector can reduce jitter in the VCO of PLL.L.

  • We designed a phase locked loop (PLL), which is applicable to microprocessor clock generation application. The designed PLL has a new simple phase frequency detector (PFD) which eliminate dead-zone and has a good high frequency characteristic. The lock-in range of the designed PLL is 50 MHz ~ 150 MHz at 3.3v power supply voltage. The design is carried out using a 0.6${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ triple metal CMOS process. The area of the layout is 0.35mm by 0.42mm with 359 transistors.

자기탄성체 리본의 공진을 이용한 인-라인 오일 점도센서 (In-line Oil Viscosity Sensor Implementing An Elastomagnetic Ribbon Resonance)

  • A new magnetoelastic technique of oil viscosity measurement, where the oil viscosity is estimated by frequency shift of natural oscillations of magnetoelastic ribbon, is implemented in this study. Laboratory tests of the detector prototype are performed for measurement of viscosity of base synthetic and mineral oils. It was found that measurement accuracy was better when damping factor was estimated in comparison with accuracy of frequency of damped oscillations. Thus the oil viscosity was calibrated as a function of number of pulses of the damped oscillations of magnetoelastic ribbon. Result generally showed that developed detector is promising for in line oil viscosity measurement in wide viscosity range from 10 cSt up to 600 cSt, while the viscosity measurement was relatively instable when the viscosity of test oil was over 400 cSt.

  • In this paper, analysis of the vibration characteristic for the mine detectable test platform is described. The test platform system is the multi-sensor mine detectable vehicle. This multi-sensor mine detectable unit is more efficient detection performance than other conventional methods. The test platform system has five subsystems, the UWB(ultra wide band) sensor scanner, the MD(metal detector) sensor scanner, the ND(neutron detector) sensor scanner, and the detectable vehicle. We perform the vibration tests for the test platform and analyze the vibration characteristic, such as the max displacement, the max deformation and the max Von-Misses stress.

  • In this paper, fabricated by MEMS uncooled micro-bolometer detector for the study in the infrared sensitivity enhancement. Absorption layer SiOx-Metal series MDTF (metal-dielectric thin film) by high absorption rate and has a high thermal coefficient of resistance, low noise characteristics were implemented. Then MDTF were made in a vacuum deposition method. And MDTF for the analysis of the physical properties of silicon wafers were fabricated, TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance) value was made in order to measure the glass wafer and FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy) values were made in order to measure the germanium window. The analyzed results of MDTF -3 [%/K] has more characteristics of the TCR. And 8~12 um wavelength region close to 70% in the absorption characteristic.

  • Alpha track analysis for the determination of the trace amount of alpha emitting nuclides in a very small particle was performed as an efficient and powerful technique during safeguard inspection. Metal particles with well-defined spherical shape, size and isotopic compositions as a reference material were used to correlate the number of tracks or track diameter with an isotopic composition eventually to identify the uranium enrichment in the environmental swipe samples. Slopes in the number of tracks versus the exposure time curve provide a simple insight into the uranium enrichment of an unknown particle. Low enriched uranium metal particles result in slopes still steeper than the depleted or natural uranium metal particles. In addition, a linear relationship between track diameter and particle size Is thought to be a useful first stage analytical tool as an efficient and convenient inspection guide. The significance of the simple linear model was also judged using the usual statistical tests.
