In this Paper, we present the design of 10Mbps HomePNA(Home Phoneline Networking Alliance) PHY which is Home Network Technology using phone-line. It is connected with external interface through MII(Media Independent Interface) and AFE(Analog Front End) Interface. 10Mbps HomePNA PHY is composed with Management Block IEEE 802.3 CSMA/CD MAC(Media Access Control) Block Modulator block and Demodulator block. For their verification, we designed a prototype FPGA PCB board using XPC860T made in Motorola. We verified HomePNA frame data transmission using a driver program based Linux kernel. we verified rate negotiation by HomepNA 2.0 Link Layer Protocol.

To protect SVC(Scalable Video Coding) media, the encryption mechanism need to consider two fundamental issues; First, What is to be encrypted? Second, When encryption is performed with respect to compression? In this paper, we analyze the several encryption approaches with regard to the above issue. And we propose hybrid-based protection mechanism. This mechanism ensures the media scalability, layered access control and reuse protected content. In this experiment the proposed mechanism generates under 3% security overhead against standard scalable video coding.

These experiments were conducted to find the optimum mixing rate of used media for saving the production cost of Flammulina velutipes. The materials for media formation was used needle-leaf tree sawdust, media that finished 1th cultivation of F. velutipes, corncob meal, and rice bran, wheat bran as nutrition source. We inoculated the F. velutipes in 14 kinds of different media types and checked the spawn growth speed, fruit body quality and quantity. Two nutrition agents, which is rice bran and wheat bran, did not affected the incubation period, but the effective stem number, quality and quantity of fruit body was better at rice bran than wheat bran. The quality of fruit body produced at mixed 20% of used media (needle-leaf tree sawdust 60% + used media 20% + rice bran 20%) was similar to control plot (needle-leaf tree sawdust 80% + rice bran 20%), but the yield was improved 10% than control plot 130g. According as the used-media mixing amount increases, quality and quantity of fruit body became low remarkably. Therefore, the optimum mixing amount of used-media was 20% and it increased 10% of fruitbody yield.

Ie is popular belief among the authorities concerned and their apologists that media coverage of terrorism promotes terrorism and is used as publicity by terrorists. Generally speaking, however, in reporting terrorism, the media become not terrorists' but state's means of publicity, and condemn terrorism, while rationalizing state's violence against terrorism. Terrorists may be successful in attracting public attention at the initial stage of terrorism, but usually fail in publicizing their cause. This fact notwithstanding, the authorities concerned and their apologists maintain thar media coverage of terrorism should be controlled, because it works as publicity for terrorists. Now it can be said that there is an intention to control the media when it is asserted that media coverage of terrorism works as publicity for terrorists. To present these arguments, this article discusses the news values and publicity aspect of terrorism, reviews some problems of and misunderstanding about media coverage of terrorism, and for illustrations, look into the American media's coverage of the 9-11 terrorism against the U. S. and "war on terror". that is, state terrorism taken as a countermeasure to it by the U. S.

Objective : Several earlier studies have reported similar symptoms in patients with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who have been repeatedly exposed to relevant media after disasters and trauma. This study aimed to examine the effects of indirect trauma experience through media rather than direct traumatic events on an individual's social life. Methods : Five hundred and fifty-four individuals participated in our online, self-reported questionnaire survey. All subjects were asked to complete a demographic questionnaire, Posttraumatic Diagnostic Scale, Beck Depression Inventory, the Impact of Event Scale-Revised, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Korean version of Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test, Patient Health Questionnaire-15, Suicidal Behaviors Questionnaire-Revised. Participants were assessed in regards to their experience of violent media exposure within the past three months. Results : Data from our study indicates that the group exposed to violent media had significantly higher perceived stress, physical symptoms, insomnia, and suicide ideation in comparison to the control group. Among the major symptoms of PTSD, the proportion of intrusion symptoms was relatively high in the media exposed group. Conclusion : This suggests that indirect trauma caused by media exposure could cause post-traumatic stress symptoms. The PTSD caused by indirect trauma may have slight differences from the PTSD caused by direct trauma. Therefore, it is necessary to understand, prevent, and control the adverse effects of media.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of environmental education program through various instructional media on pro-environmental attitudes of forth graders in an elementary school in Seoul. The students were divided into an experimental group and a control group. A questionnaire was used to survey the effects of applying environmental education program through various instructional media. The SPSS 12.0 program was used to analyze the results. The student in the experimental group acquired a higher level of pro-environmental attitudes than the control group did. The environmental education program through various instructional media used in this study were effective especially in dealing with the environmental educational subdomains such as verbal commitment, actual commitment, affect. The major results of this study were as follows. First, environmental education program through various instructional media had a positive effect on the environmental concerns and needs for learning of environmental problems. Second, the group by environmental education program through various instructional media showed the significant difference(p<.001) on the pro-environmental attitudes as it proved those are effect on 3 subdomains of verbal commitment, actual commitment and affect. Third, environmental education program through various instructional media had a positive correlation(from 585 to .680) among the 3 subdomains of verbal commitment, actual commitment and affect. So, students who hold verbal commitment showed good effect on the actual commitment and affect. In conclusion, the environmental education program through various instructional media had a positive effect on pro-environmental attitudes of elementary school students. It is demanded that more intensive research on this study should be done, linking with teaching and teaming method, as a follow-up activity.

In this paper, we propose a defense NPC control model in the soccer game by applying the Decision Tree learning algorithm. The proposed model extracts the direction patterns and the action patterns generated by many soccer game users, and applies these patterns to the Decision Tree learning algorithm. Then, the proposed model decides the direction and the action according to the learned Decision Tree. Experimental results show that the proposed model takes some time to learn the Decision Tree while the proposed model takes 0.001-0.003 milliseconds to decide the direction and the action based on the learned Decision Tree. Therefore, the proposed model can control NPC in the soccer game system in real time. Also, the proposed model achieves higher accuracy than a previous model (Letia98); because the proposed model can utilize current state information, its analyzed information, and previous state information.

This study was to study the antibacterial effect of Lignum sappan extract on S. mutans growth. The antibacterial activities of Lignum sappan's crude extract was measured 17.3 mm at 20 mg/ml concentration. The growth of S. mutans in control medium was the highest at 8hr, while the media of Lignum sappan extract added-medium (2 mg/ml) showed maximum growth at 16hr. The pH values of the control media was 5.08 at 8hr, but the media supplemented with Lignum sappan extract was 6.69 at 8hr. The amounts of total carbohydrate of the control media was 0.81 mg/ml at 8hr, but the media supplemented with Lignum sappan extract was 2.06 mg/ml at 8hr. In the protein change of culture medium, the control culture broth and the cultures supplemented with Lignum sappan extract was 8.39 mg/ml and 12.3 mg/ml at 8hr, respectively. The S. mutans polysaccharide contents of the control media and the media supplemented with Lignum sappan extract was 300 mg/100ml and 60 mg/100ml at 8hr, respectively.

In this paper, a heterogeneous home network control system using HNCP is proposed and implemented. A power line and 802.15.4 are used as media for the system. Information about home environment gathered by sensors is transferred to a power line connected device through the 802.15.4. HNCP stimulate the home network based on the both media. Sensor device definition for the HNCP address and message set is proposed. TinyOS supports the HNCP stack on the wireless sensor board. The home network control system implemented with these techniques has a benefit of user friendly operation of home appliances based on the sensing data. Implementation and experiment shows validity of the system.

In this paper, we designed HW / SW interfaces for processing the signals of capacitive sensors like Electric Potential Sensor (EPS) to detect the surrounding electric field disturbance as feature signals in motion recognition systems. We implemented a smart light control system with those interfaces. In the system, the on/off switch and brightness adjustment are controlled by hand gestures using the designed and fabricated interface circuits. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals of the controller with a driver IC are used to drive the LED and to control the brightness and on/off operation. Using the hand-gesture signals obtained through EPS sensors and the interface HW/SW, we can not only construct a gesture instructing system but also accomplish the faster recognition speed by developing dedicated interface hardware including control circuitry. Finally, using the proposed hand-gesture recognition and signal processing methods, the light control module was also designed and implemented. The experimental result shows that the smart light control system can control the LED module properly by accurate motion detection and gesture classification.
