빙해역의 빙상환경 계측에 관한 연구 (2010년 여름 Svalbard와 Chukchi Sea 근해) (A study on the measurement of ice in the Arctic region (At Svalbard and Chukchi Sea on 2010 summer))

  • The measurement of ice properties such as thickness, strength are important to know the performance of the ice breaking vessel. The measuring equipment of ice properties and methods are summarized in this paper. The actual measured data are also described. The strength of ice at Svalbard area on April 2010 is much stronger than the Chukchi Sea on August 2010. The mean strength of Svalbard is about 500 kPa and one of Chukchi Sea is 250 kPa. The first sea trial in Arctic sea using Araon was carried out in the Chukchi Sea. The power and speed was also measured to check the ship performance in ice. The speed was measured from GPS(Global Positioning System) and engine power was recorded from DPS(Dynamic Positioning system) of Araon. The design target of Araon in level ice is 3 knots in 1m thickness and 630 kPa flexible strength but mean speed in Chuckchi sea is 3.98 knots when 6.6 MW engine power, 2.4m ice thickness and 250 kPa strength. This results comes from the difference of ice types and the weak flexible strength of ice but it will be a good information to know the performance of Araon in similar ice condition.

  • Numerous non-destructive tests(NDT) to assess the safety of real structures have been developed. System identification(SI) techniques using dynamic responses and behaviors of structural systems become an outstanding issue of researchers. However the conventional SI techniques are identified to be non-practical to the complex and tall buildings, due to limitation of the availability of an accurate data that is magnitude or location of external loads. In most SI approaches, the information on input loading and output responses must be known. In many cases, measuring the input information may take most of the resources, and it is very difficult to accurately measure the input information during actual vibrations of practical importance, e.g., earthquakes, winds, micro seismic tremors, and mechanical vibration. However, the desirability and application potential of SI to real structures could be highly improved if an algorithm is available that can estimate structural parameters based on the response data alone without the input information. Thus a technique to estimate structural properties of building without input measurement data and using limited response is essential in structural health monitoring. In this study, shaking table tests on three-story plane frame steel structures were performed. Out-put only model analysis on the measured data was performed, and the dynamic properties were inverse analyzed using least square method in time domain. In results damage detection was performed in each member level, which was performed at story level in conventional SI techniques of frequency domain.

Evaluation of dynamic properties of extra light weight concrete sandwich beams reinforced with CFRP

  • Analytical and experimental investigation on dynamic properties of extra lightweight concrete sandwich beams reinforced with various lay ups of carbon reinforced epoxy polymer composites (CFRP) are discussed. The lightweight concrete used in the core of the sandwich beams was made up of extra lightweight aggregate, Lica. The density of concrete was half of that of the ordinary concrete and its compressive strength was about $100Kg/cm^2$. Two extra lightweight unreinforced (control) beams and six extra lightweight sandwich beams with various lay ups of CFRP were clamped in one end and tested under an impact load. The dimension of the beams without considering any reinforcement was 20 cm ${\times}$ 10 cm ${\times}$ 1.4 m. These were selected to ensure that the effect of shear during the bending test would be minimized. Three other beams, made up of ordinary concrete reinforced with steel bars, were tested in the same conditions. For measuring the damping capacity of sandwich beams three methods, Logarithmic Decrement Analysis (LDA), Hilbert Transform Analysis (HTA) and Moving Block Analysis (MBA) were applied. The first two methods are in time domain and the last one is in frequency domain. A comparison between the damping capacity of the beams obtained from all three methods, shows that the damping capacity of the extra lightweight concrete decreases by adding the composite reinforced layers to the upper and lower sides of the beams, and becomes most similar to the damping of the ordinary beams. Also the results show that the stiffness of the extra lightweight concrete beams increases by adding the composite reinforced layer to their both sides and become similar to the ordinary beams.

가야금(伽倻琴) 향판재(響板材)의 개선(改善)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Improvements for GAYAKUM Sounding Boards)

  • For the purpose of Improving the sounding boards for the conventional GAYAKUM, I was making approximately 202 specimens of radial board, 371 specimens of tangential board by cutting along the grain and the part of stem and 31 specimens of the disjointed traditional GAYAKUM made in Paulownia coreana. And it was conducted to measure specific gravity, dynamic Young's modulus, internal friction, resonant frequency, velosity of sound and width of annual ring by the method of the frexural vibration in a free-free bar in the audio frequency range. And it confirmed the juvenile wood by measuring wood fiber length of specimens. It was also conducted to investigate dynamic properties and moisture absorption by various heat-treatment and to test dynamic Young's modulus and internal friction for the disjointed conventional GAYAKUM. The results obtained were summarized as follow: 1. The Juvenile wood is located within about 7 annual rings from the pith in Paulownia coreana. 2. As increased with the specific gravity, the dynamic Young's modulus had more and more increased, but the internal friction had slightly decreased. 3. I think that radial board would be good for sounding board wood. because radial board is higher than tangential board in dynamic Young's mudulus and internal friction is lower than tangential board. 4. The value of mean dynamic Young's modulus on the conventional GAYAKUM, radial board and tangential board of 604 samples is $0.4283\pm0.037(\times10^{11}dyne/cm^2)$, $0.4316\pm(\times10^{11}dyne/cm^2)$ and $0.4234\pm0.112(\times10^{11}dyne/cm^2)$ respectively. The value of the radial board showed little higher than that of conventional GAYAKUM, but It had a similar tendency between conventional GAYAKUM and tangential board. 5. The annual ring width by four aspect is more narrow in north and west than that of others. 6. The values of specific gravity and dynamic Young's modulus in the mature wood showed higher than those of juvenile wood. 7. As the grain angle in the butt wood more increased to bark from pith, the dynamic Young's modulus were low. Then it was not good for sounding board. 8. It appeared that the heat-treatment for sounding board wood had a more effect to do the treatment of hotiron on surface after heat-treatment during 24 hours in $60^{\circ}C$ temperature. 9. As increased with the temperature, the rate of moisture absorption of heat-treatment wood had decreased. In conclusion, I thought that the sounding board wood for GAYAKUM would had the most effect to do the treatment of hotiron on surface after heat-treatment during 24 hours in $60^{\circ}C$ temperature using the radial board of mature wood.

폼드아스팔트를 이용한 현장 상온 재생 아스팔트 혼합물의 동탄성계수 결정 (Determination of Dynamic Modulus of cold In-place Recycling Mixtures with Foamed Asphalt)

  • 폼드아스팔트를 이용한 현장 상온 재생아스팔트 혼합물에 대한 배합설계법이 아이오아 주 교통국에서 사용하기 위해 개발되었다. 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트 혼합물의 배합설계를 위한 실내시험절차를 개선하기 위하여 배합설계에 영향을 미치는 중요한 배합설계변수들을 결정하여 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트 혼합물의 특성을 반영할 수 있는 새로운 배합설계절차를 개발하였다. 개발된 배합설계법의 검증을 위한 한 가지 방법으로 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트 혼합물의 동탄성계수를 측정하였다. 본 연구에서는 새로운 simple performance testing 장비를 이용한 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트 혼합물의 동탄성계수 측정을 위한 표준시험절차를 정립하고, 7가지 재생 아스팔트 골재를 사용하여 생산된 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트 혼합물의 동탄성 계수를 측정하여 마스터곡선을 작성하였다. 또한 재생 아스팔트 골재의 특성이 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트혼합물의 동탄성 계수에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 3가지 온도와 6가지의 하중주기에서 측정된 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트 혼합물의 동탄성계수는 7가지 재생 아스팔트 골재에서 일관된 값을 나타내었으며, 작성된 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트 혼합물의 마스터곡선은 가열 아스팔트 혼합물의 마스터곡선에 비해 하중주기에 대해 덜 민감한 것으로 평가되었다. 저온에서는 재생 아스팔트 골재의 잔골재 함유량이 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트 혼합물의 동탄성계수에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 고온에서는 재생 아스팔트 골재의 잔류 아스팔트 특성이 상온 재생 폼드아스팔트 혼합물의 동탄성계수에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

호흡모의움직임장치를 이용한 정상산소 폴리메타크릴산 겔 선량계의 선량특성 (Preliminary Investigations of the Dosimetric Properties of a Normoxic Polymethacrylic Acid Gel Dosimeter Using a Respiration-Motion Simulator)

  • 움직이는 종양의 선량분포는 중합체 겔과 EBT2을 이용하여 필름호흡운동 모의치료기로 분석하였다. 중합체 겔 선량계는 젤라틴, MAA, HQ, THPC, HPLC를 이용하여 합성되었다. 겔 선량계와 EBT2 필름은 5초 간격으로 x축과 y축으로 ${\pm}1.5cm$씩 움직이면서 Co-60 감마선을 이용하여 조사하였다. 조사면의 크기 $5{\times}5cm^2$, SSD 80 cm, 2 cm 깊이에 10 Gy를 조사하였다. 50 mm 깊이에서의 심부선량백분율(PDD)은 이온전리함에서 75.2%였고, 겔 선량계로 측정한 결과 정적상태(static state)에서 82.3%, 동적상태(dynamic state)에서 86.1%였다. 겔 선량계를 이용하여 측정한 동적상태의 반음영(penumbra)은 평균 10.89 mm로 정적상태 반음영의 크기인 7.74 mm 보다 40.5%가 증가하였다. 추가적으로 필름을 이용하여 측정된 반음영의 크기와 비교했을 때 정적상태에서 36.6%, 동적상태에서 29.4%가 작았다.

열처리 온도가 Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)(PTT) 섬유의 역학적 성질과 미세구조에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Annealing Temperature on The Physical Properties and Fine Structure of Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)(PTT) Fibers)

  • Polytrimethylene terephthalate(PTT) offers several advantageous properties such as good tensile strength, uniformity, stiffness, toughness, UV stability, resilience, stain resistance, outstanding elastic recovery, and dyeability. The effects of annealing temperature on physical properties and the structure of PTT filaments and yarn were investigated by measuring wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD), density, optical birefringence, dynamic visco elasticity, and tensile testing. The intensity of maximum tan ${\delta}$ decreased and the temperature of maximum tan ${\delta}$ shifted to a higher temperature as the annealing temperature of filaments increased; however, it shifted to a lower temperature when the annealing temperature exceeded $130^{\circ}C$. In addition, crystallinity, density and D-spacing of (010) crystal face increased as the annealing temperature increased. Optical birefringence and specific stress were almost constant up to $100^{\circ}C$ and then decreased above $130^{\circ}C$. The shrinkage of PTT filament is 0 in boiling water when annealed above $130^{\circ}C$; consequently, the use of annealed fiber above $130^{\circ}C$ can remove thermal instability when dyeing PTT fiber. In the case of yarns, the thermal stability and physical properties of yarns showed the best effect when the ply number is less than 5, twist number is less than 400tpm, and the annealing time is 20minutes.

  • It this paper, the piezoelectric and electro-induced strain properties of (P $b_{1-}$2x/3/B $i_{x}$ )[N $i_{1}$3/N $b_{2}$3/)$_{0.4}$( $Ti_{0.6}$Z $r_{0.4}$)$_{0.6}$] $O_3$ceramics (x=0, 0.005, 0.02) were investigated with the substitution of B $i^{3+}$, and the feasibility of the application for bimorph actuator was evaluated by measuring the dynamic properties of the piezoelectric bimorph fabricated with above ceramics. Dielectric constant was enhanced with the increase of B $i^{3+}$ substitution, and appeared the maximum value of 5032 at x=0.01 composition. Increasing the substitution of B $i^{3+}$, the electromechanical coefficient( $k_{p}$ , $k_{31}$ ) was increased up to the substitution of 0.5 mol% B $i^{3+}$, showed the value of 0.656, 0.439, respectively. The piezoelectric constant( $d_{33}$ $d_{31}$ ) had the highest value of 344, 825 with the substitution of 0.5 mol% B $i^{3+}$. The strain, generated by 60 Hz AC electric field, had the largest value of 1200($\times$10$^{-6}$ $\Delta$1/1) in the composition with the substitution of 0.5 mol% B $i^{3+}$. The dynamic properties of the bimorph actuator, fabricated with the composition substitution of 0.5 mol% B $i^{3+}$, showed the largest value of 325 $\mu$m at $\pm$150 V square pulse. square pulse.are pulse..

  • 댐 유지관리 측면에서 계측기를 통해 실시간 댐 거동을 파악하고 있으나 노후 댐의 경우 댐 축조 시 설치한 계측기가 오작동하거나 작동되지 않는 경우도 빈번히 발생하고 있다. 1종 국가시설물인 댐은 정밀안전진단을 통해 주기적으로 댐의 상태를 파악하고 있으며, 정밀안전진단 시 댐체의 안정성 평가를 실시하고 있다. 일반적으로 댐 안정성평가 시 가장 큰 단면을 대표단면으로 적용해 2차원 수치해석으로 결론을 도출하고 있으나 최근 많은 연구자들이 3차원 수치해석 프로그램 기술 발달에 기인해 댐 형상, 주변지형 및 댐 하부지형 형상을 정확히 반영한 3차원 수치해석에 관한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지진에 대한 댐 안정성 평가를 위해 지반공학 범용 FEM 해석 프로그램인 PLAXIS 3D를 이용하여 존별 형상을 모두 반영한 댐체의 지진 특성과 댐체를 사력존 하나로 가정한 경우, 댐체를 사력존 및 코어존으로 가정한 경우와 수치해석 결과를 비교 분석하여 존별 형상에 따른 지진파 영향 특성을 분석하고자 한다.

선회주행 시 차체의 비틀림 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Torsional Characteristics of the Car Body Types at Cornering Motion)

  • 탄성변형과 피로손상은 카트의 주행성능에 영향을 미치는 것으로 카트 프레임에 영구변형을 유발할 수 있다. 카트프레임은 현가장치와 다른 장치를 포함하지 않으므로 두 가지 변형에 결정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 코너주행 시 동적 거동은 비틀림 변형이 원인이 된다. 선회주행 시 카트의 동적 거동을 분석하기 위해 카트의 GPS추적이 실시간으로 이루어지고 카트 프레임에 작용하는 비틀림 응력값을 측정하였다. 레저카트와 레이싱카트의 재료물성치들은 인장실험을 통해 얻었다. 비틀림 응력집중과 프레임 변형은 얻어진 결과 값을 토대로 프레임의 응력해석을 통하여 파악하였다. 개발된 주행분석장치를 이용하여 레저카트와 레이싱카트를 각 조건별로 실차실험을 수행하였고 이를 통한 코너에서 카트의 주행거동을 살펴보았다. 카트가 곡선주행 시 원심력으로 인해 하중이동이 발생하였으며 카트프레임에 비틀림 응력이 발생하였다. 예를 들어 레저카드의 경우, 40 km/h의 속도로 운전할 때 최대 비틀림 피로한도를 측정한 최대 비틀림응력은 230 MPa이며 비틀림 피로한도계수는 0.65를 나타내었다. 뿐만 아니라 카트의 선회 시 운전요소들을 운전측정시스템을 인스톨한 실측장비에서 측정하였으며 카트의 운전거동은 수직변위에 의해 측정하였다.
