  • We study the question of whether a partial (0, 1)-normal matrix has a non-symmetric normal completion. Matrix sandwich problems are an important and special case of matrix completion problems. In this paper, we give some properties for the (0, 1)-normal matrices and some large classes that satisfies the normal sandwich completion.

  • Let G denote either of the groups $GL_2(q)$ or $SL_2(q)$. The mapping $theta$ sending a matrix to its transpose-inverse is an auto-mophism of G and therefore we can form the group $G^+$ = G.<$theta$>. In this paper conjugacy classes of elements in $G^+$ -G are found. These classes are closely related to the congruence classes of invert-ible matrices in G.

  • This paper addresses the vertical class fragmentation in distributed object-oriented databases. In the proposed vertical fragmentation, after producing the attribute fragment by partitioning attributes, then the method fragment is produced by gathering methods referring the attribute in each fragment. For partitioning attributes, we define query access matrix(QAM) and method access matrix(MAM) to express attributes that method refers, and extend QAM, MAM and attribute usage matrix(AUM) to universal class environment for representing relationship among other classes through class hierarchy and class composite hierarchy.

  • The most apparent aspect of the present study is to introduce a new sequence space 𝚽(𝓛p) derived by double Euler-Totient matrix operator. We examine its topological and algebraic properties and give an inclusion relation. In addition to those, the α-, β(bp)- and γ-duals of the space 𝚽(𝓛p) are determined and finally, some 4-dimensional matrix mapping classes related to this space are characterized.

  • We are concerned with three classes of matrices that are relevant to the linear complementary problem. We prove that within the class of $P_0$-matrices, the Q-matrices are precisely the regular matrices and we show that the same characterizations hold for an L-matrix as well, and that the symmetric copositive-plus Q-matrices are precisely those which are strictly copositive.

  • Sex hormones are important metabolites in vertebrates' development and reproduction. For rapid screening sex hormones, matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry (MS) is one of the promising analytical platforms, but MALDI MS faces many challenges in detecting steroids such as low ionization efficiency and matrix background interference. One potential strategy to overcome matrix interference in the low m/z region is using a cyclodextrin (CD)-supported matrix for steroid analysis since CD-supported matrixes are known to effectively suppress matrix-related ion signals. In this study, we aimed to find the optimal CD-supported matrix for the analysis of the nonderivatized sex steroids. Our results showed that the ${\alpha}CD$-supported 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid (DHB) matrix efficiently ionized all three major classes of sex hormones, estrogens, androgens, and progestagens, with low or no matrix background and also with high sensitivity. In addition, the ${\alpha}CD$-supported DHB matrix mainly generated molecular ions or protonated ions of sex hormones, and this enabled us to obtain information-rich tandem mass spectra which potentially lead to unambiguous identification of steroid species from complex metabolite mixtures.

  • Let 0 < q < ${\infty}$. In this study, we introduce the spaces ${\mathcal{BV}}_q$ and ${\mathcal{LS}}_q$ of q-bounded variation double sequences and q-summable double series as the domain of four-dimensional backward difference matrix ${\Delta}$ and summation matrix S in the space ${\mathcal{L}}_q$ of absolutely q-summable double sequences, respectively. Also, we determine their ${\alpha}$- and ${\beta}-duals$ and give the characterizations of some classes of four-dimensional matrix transformations in the case 0 < q ${\leq}$ 1.

  • Let G be a finite group with k distinct conjugacy classes $C_1, C_2, \cdots, C_k$ and F an algebraically closed field such that char$(F){\dag}\left$\mid$ G \right$\mid$$. We denoted by $Irr_F$(G) the set of all irreducible F-characters of G and $Cf_F$(G) the set of all class functions of G into F. Then $Cf_F$(G) is a commutative F-algebra with an F-basis $Irr_F(G) = {\chi_1, \chi_2, \cdots, \chi_k}$.

  • In this paper, the Adjacency Matrix is applied to analyze the MIN, which is one of the kind and further implemented in designing the new kind of SSIN, which provides the special form of MIN that has identical link patterns between switching stages. At first, new theorems are established and next the classes of the SSIN are generated from computer simulation.

  • Necessary and sufficient conditions for a radical class of rings to satisfy the polynomial equation $\rho$(R[x]) = ($\rho$(R))[x] have been investigated. The interrelationsh of polynomial equation, Amitsur property and polynomial extensibility is given. It has been shown that complete analogy of R.E. Propes result for radicals of matrix rings is not possible for polynomial rings.
