The interaction of mating pheromone and pheromone receptor from the B mating-type locus is the first step in the activation of the mushroom mating signal transduction pathway. The B mating-type locus of Lentinula edodes is composed of Bα and Bβ subloci, each of which contains genes for mating pheromone and pheromone receptor. Allelic variations in both subloci generate multiple B mating-types through which L. edodes maintains genetic diversity. In addition to the B mating-type locus, our genomic sequence analysis revealed the presence of a novel chromosomal locus 43.3 kb away from the B mating-type locus, containing genes for a pair of mating pheromones (PHBN1 and PHBN2) and a pheromone receptor (RCBN). The new locus (Bα-N) was homologous to the Bα sublocus, but unlike the multiallelic Bα sublocus, it was highly conserved across the wild and cultivated strains. The interactions of RcbN with various mating pheromones from the B and Bα-N mating-type loci were investigated using yeast model that replaced endogenous yeast mating pheromone receptor STE2 with RCBN. The yeast mating signal transduction pathway was only activated in the presence of PHBN1 or PHBN2 in the RcbN producing yeast, indicating that RcbN interacts with self-pheromones (PHBN1 and PHBN2), not with pheromones from the B mating-type locus. The biological function of the Bα-N locus was suggested to control the expression of A mating-type genes, as evidenced by the increased expression of two A-genes HD1 and HD2 upon the treatment of synthetic PHBN1 and PHBN2 peptides to the monokaryotic strain of L. edodes.
그리고 translated polypeptide sequence 를 이용하여 자생지가 다른 남미산 S. commune A $\alpha$ 3 mating locus 내의 Y-region은 비롯하여 다른 $A\alpha$ alleles내의 Y-region과 비교 분석한 결과 남미산에 대해 전체적으로 약 97%의 높은 homology를 나타내고 있지만 그 외 $A\alpha$ mating alllele gene의 Y-region과는 41~49%의 낮은 homology로 mating activity에 관여하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
The gear whine noise of vehicle transmission is directly correlated tilth the gear transmission error of mating gear The object of this study is to build up the synthesized countermeasure for the reduction of gear whine noire of vehicle transmission by developing the program which can be used to analyze and predict the vibrational characteristics caused by gear transmission error of mating gears of vehicle transmission. The developed mathematical models on the elements of transmission, for example, helical gear pairs, bearings and shafts are used and the modeling of the excitation forces are developed by the gear transmission error of mating gear which is defined by the amount of the elastic deformation of gear tooth & shaft and gear profile & lead errors. The mathematical system model of vehicle transmission developed by the substructure synthesis method Is also verified by the experiments.
Genetic study of haploid organisms offers the advantage that mutant phenotypes are directly displayed, but has the disadvantage that strains carrying lethal mutations are not readily maintained. We describe an approach for generating and performing genetic analysis of diploid strains of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, which is normally haploid. First protocol utilizes self-mating diploid strains that will facilitate the genetic analysis of recessive lethal mutations by offering a convenient way to produce homozygous diploids in a single mating. Second protocol is designed to reduce the chance of contamination and the accumulation of spontaneous mutations for long-term storage of mutant strains. Third protocol for inducing the meiotic program is also included to produce haploid mutant strains following tetraploid genetic analysis. We discuss implication of self-fertile strains for the future of Chlamydomonas research.

Allelic differences in A and B mating-type loci are a prerequisite for the progression of mating in the genus Pleurotus eryngii; thus, the crossing is hampered by this biological barrier in inbreeding. Molecular markers linked to mating types of P. eryngii KNR2312 were investigated with randomly amplified polymorphic DNA to enhance crossing efficiency. An A4-linked sequence was identified and used to find the adjacent genomic region with the entire motif of the A locus from a contig sequenced by PacBio. The sequence-characterized amplified region marker $7-2_{299}$ distinguished A4 mating-type monokaryons from KNR2312 and other strains. A BLAST search of flanked sequences revealed that the A4 locus had a general feature consisting of the putative HD1 and HD2 genes. Both putative HD transcription factors contain a homeodomain sequence and a nuclear localization sequence; however, valid dimerization motifs were found only in the HD1 protein. The ACAAT motif, which was reported to have relevance to sex determination, was found in the intergenic region. The SCAR marker could be applicable in the classification of mating types in the P. eryngii breeding program, and the A4 locus could be the basis for a multi-allele detection marker.
The direction of eye movement in Pleuronectiformes is species-specific. In farmed flounder, deviations in eye direction can reduce marketability. Therefore, we explored the effects of genetic and environmental factors on the direction of eye movements in the starry flounder Platichthys stellatus to address this economic challenge. Four pairs of female and male starry flounder broodstock, with eyes positioned to the right or left, were used in a mating experiment. The experimental groups were established with breeding seawater temperatures set at 10, 14, and 18℃ for the water temperature experiment. Whole-body samples of juveniles were collected to analyze the expression of genes related to eye movement and direction. The mating experiment results showed no significant differences in abnormal eye movement. In the water temperature experiment, the rate of abnormal eye movement was significantly higher at 32.19±1.33% in the 18℃ group than in the 10 and 14℃ groups. Genetic analysis of eye movement related to water temperature revealed that the expression of eye migration genes was significantly higher at 10℃. Moreover, no significant differences were observed in mating experiments. In conclusion, water temperature and not mating affected the eye movement of starry flounder.
The purpose of the suudy was to develop a computer program for pattern mating of women's pant's. Computerization of the pattern making process was expected to provide higher accuracy and efficiency in pattern mating. The VAX-11/750 Computer and the CALCOMP PLOTTER 965 were used in this study. The procedures of the study were as follows : 1. A slacks pattern was selected. 2. The co-ordinate points were indicated relative location of all necessary in draffing. Total sixty co-ordinate points were instituted from (AX(1), AY(1)) to (AX(24), AY(24)), from (BX(1), BY(1)) to (BX(36), BY(36)). 3. A program for drafting was developed. Refer to (Table 3). 4. The procedures of drading of standard size were accomplished by using same method. The program was developed to drafting pattern for women by putting indivisual body measurement. The body measurements for stacks pattern were as follows : slacks length. Croach length. Hip length. nip circumference. waist circumference.
The objective of this study was to describe the population structure and inbreeding, and to quantify their effects on weights at different ages of Mehraban sheep in Iran. The analysis was based on the pedigree information of 26990 animals and 10278 body weight records from birth to yearling age. Data and pedigree information were collected during 1994 to 2011 by the breeding station of Mehraban sheep. The population structure was analyzed using the CFC program. Inbreeding of all animals was calculated by INBUPGF90 program. All animals were grouped into three classes according to their inbreeding coefficients: the first class included non-inbred animals (F=0); and the second and third classes included inbred animals (0$F{\geq}0.05$, respectively). The average inbreeding in Mehraban sheep was 1.69%. Founder equivalent ($f_e$) values were estimated to be 4244, 3116 and 2965 during 1994-1999, 2000-2005 and 2006-2011, respectively. The effective population sizes ($N_e$) were 363, 5080 and 5740 during 1994-1999, 2000-2005 and 2006-2011, respectively. Generation interval was 2.15 years for this breed of sheep. Regression coefficients of birth weight, 3-month weight, 6-month weight and yearling weight on lamb inbreeding were estimated to be -6.340.69, -14.685.33, 48.009.43 and 98.6515.65, respectively. Both positive and negative inbreeding effects were found in the current study. The utilization of a program for designed mating system, in the present flock, could be a suitable approach to keep the level of inbreeding under control.

Maize is the dominant cereal crop produced in the US. One of the main fungal pathogens of maize is Fusarium verticillioides, the causative agent of ear and stalk rots. Significantly, the fungus produces a group of mycotoxins - fumonisins - on infested kernels, which have been linked to various illnesses in humans and animals. Nonetheless, durable resistance against F. verticillioides in maize is not currently available. In Texas, over 2.1 million acres of maize are vulnerable to fumonisin contamination, but understanding of the distribution of toxigenic F. verticillioides in maize-producing areas is currently lacking. Our goal was to investigate the genetic variability of F. verticillioides in Texas with an emphasis on fumonisin trait and geographical distribution. A total of 164 F. verticillioides cultures were isolated from 65 maize-producing counties. DNA from each isolate was extracted and analyzed by PCR for the presence of FUM1- a key fumonisin biosynthesis gene - and mating type genes. Results showed that all isolates are in fact F. verticillioides capable of producing fumonisins with a 1:1 mating-type gene ratio in the population. To further study the genetic diversity of the population, isolates were analyzed using RAPD fingerprinting. Polymorphic markers were identified and the analysis showed no clear correlation between the RAPD profile of the isolates and their corresponding geographical origin. Our data suggest the toxigenic F. verticillioides population in Texas is widely distributed wherever maize is grown. We also hypothesize that the population is fluid, with active movement and genetic recombination occurring in the field.
