확률 개념과 지식이 정립되는 단계에서 중요한 의의를 가졌던 기댓값이 확률의 역사에서 초기에 역사적으로 어떻게 다루어졌는가를 알아보는 것은 의미 있는 일이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기댓값의 개념과 정의가 변화하고 정선되어 온 역사적 과정에서 이 발전에 기여한 몇 가지 문제와 함께 그 문제의 해결 과정을 알아봄으로써 확률에서 기댓값의 의미를 다시 한번 고찰해 보고자 한다.

In this paper, the concept of maximal ideals relative to a filter on posets is introduced and examined. An intrinsic characterization of distributive lattices is obtained. In addition, we also give a characterization of pseudo primes in semicontinuous lattices and a characterization of semicontinuous lattices. Functions of semicontinuous lattices which are order preserving and semicontinuous are studied. A new concept of semiarithmetic lattices is introduced and examined.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of (m, n)-ideals in a non-associative ordered structure, which is called an ordered Abel-Grassmann's groupoid, by generalizing the concept of (m, n)-ideals in an ordered semigroup [14]. We also study the (m, n)-regular class of an ordered AG-groupoid in terms of (m, n)-ideals.

The concept of intuitionistic fuzzy $\theta$-interior operator is introduced and discussed in intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces. As applications of this concept, intuitionistic fuzzy strongly $\theta$-continuous, intuitionistic fuzzy $\theta$-continuous, and intuitionistic fuzzy weakly continuous functions are characterized in terms of intuitionistic fuzzy $\theta$-interior operator.

In this paper we introduce a new concept of weakly positive upper orthant dependence POD of hitting times of stochastic processes. This concept is weaker than the positively orthant dependent and it is closed under a certain statistical operations of W POD ordering. Examples are given to illustrate these concepts.

In this paper, we introduce and study the concept of "strongly $t$-linked extensions", which is a stronger version of $t$-linked extensions of integral domains. We show that for an extension of Pr$\ddot{u}$fer $v$-multiplication domains, this concept is equivalent to that of "$w$-faithfully flat".

Pajoohesh introduced the concept of k-metric spaces and Hiltzler and Seda defined the concept of metric-like spaces. Recently, Kopperman and Pajoohesh proved a fixed point theorem in complete k-metric spaces for a Lipschitz map with bound. In this paper, we prove a fixed point theorem in complete metric-like spaces for a Lipschitz map with bound.

As a generalization of fuzzy sets, the concept of interval-valued fuzzy sets was introduced by Gorzalczany(GO). In this paper, we shall extend the concept of "fuzzy inclusion", introduced by Sostak[SO1], to the interval-valued fuzzy setting and study its fundamental properties for some extent.

By generalizing the definition of fuzzy weakly semicontinuous mappings by B. S. Zhong, we introduce the concept of fuzzy weakly r-semicontinuous mappings in fuzzy topology of Chattopadhyay. Then the concept introduced by B. S. Zhong becomes a special case of our definition. Also, we show that fuzzy weakly r-semicontinuity and fuzzy weakly r-continuity are independent notions.
