  • This study verified how R&D investment affects the management performance of SMEs, whether technology innovation mediates this relationship, and whether marketing competency moderates the relationship between technology innovation and management performance. A longitudinal analysis was conducted using data from the corporate panel survey performed by Daegu Technopark every year since 2013. Data from 349 companies in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region were mainly used, and the size of 30 to 50 employees in the manufacturing industry was a major analysis target company. The results are as below. First, The results showed that R&D investment had a positive effect on management as well as technology innovation, but technology innovation did not affect management performance. Also, technological innovation did not mediate the relationship between R&D investment and management performance. This shows that in the case of small SMEs, even if technological innovation occurs through R&D investment, the technological innovation does not lead to management performance. Also, the relationship between technological innovation and management performance was not changed by marketing capabilities. This shows that technological innovation in small SMEs is not easy to lead to business performance.

However, customer lifetime used in companies is easily obtained from a confined simple customer attrition rate at some specific time point regardless of customer characteristics. In this study, in order to overcome the constraints of previous simple methods and to make practical use of it in industries, we suggest a method that estimates a customer lifetime using a customer segment based survival analysis with the censored data of customers; in addition, we apply this method to A mobile telecom company data. A method using customer segment based survival analysis is suggested in this study 1) includes all customers having different subscription dates, 2) reduces individual error, 3) can reflect trends after the observed time point and is more realistic.

  • This paper is one of the types of 'sharing economy', a social economic model that borrows and shares things, spaces, and services from the development of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Through sharing of empty space and time in the city, I would like to suggest a way to reduce the closure of small business owners in order to create jobs, which is one of urban problems in the community. We also build a platform that utilizes the free time and space of buildings through space sharing, one of the types of sharing economy, and provides education programs for start-up education, promotion, marketing, and consulting by matching small business owners with building owners. Therefore, in this paper, by sharing the space and time, the landlord and the small business can share the profits of the small business by reducing the business owner's closure and the job creation plan. Coaching urban regeneration was proposed.
