This article proposes a framework to elucidate the structural dynamics of the generative AI ecosystem. It also outlines the practical application of this proposed framework through illustrative policies, with a specific emphasis on the development of the Korean generative AI ecosystem and its implications of platform strategies at AI platform-squared. We propose a comprehensive classification scheme within generative AI ecosystems, including app builders, technology partners, app stores, foundational AI models operating as operating systems, cloud services, and chip manufacturers. The market competitiveness for both app builders and technology partners will be highly contingent on their ability to effectively navigate the customer decision journey (CDJ) while offering localized services that fill the gaps left by foundational models. The strategically important platform of platforms in the generative AI ecosystem (i.e., AI platform-squared) is constituted by app stores, foundational AIs as operating systems, and cloud services. A few companies, primarily in the U.S. and China, are projected to dominate this AI platform squared, and consequently, they are likely to become the primary targets of non-market strategies by diverse governments and communities. Korea still has chances in AI platform-squared, but the window of opportunities is narrowing. A cautious approach is necessary when considering potential regulations for domestic large AI models and platforms. Hastily importing foreign regulatory frameworks and non-market strategies, such as those from Europe, could overlook the essential hierarchical structure that our framework underscores. Our study suggests a clear strategic pathway for Korea to emerge as a generative AI powerhouse. As one of the few countries boasting significant companies within the foundational AI models (which need to collaborate with each other) and chip manufacturing sectors, it is vital for Korea to leverage its unique position and strategically penetrate the platform-squared segment-app stores, operating systems, and cloud services. Given the potential network effects and winner-takes-all dynamics in AI platform-squared, this endeavor is of immediate urgency. To facilitate this transition, it is recommended that the government implement promotional policies that strategically nurture these AI platform-squared, rather than restrict them through regulations and stakeholder pressures.
Today, the competition for hub-port is getting fierce and the shipping liners have enjoyed the increased bargaining power over the terminal operators through the mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and strategic alliances. This result leads the competition among terminal operators to attract liner companies and cargoes in their terminals. In demand side, however, there is a limited container cargo volume to handle because of a steady growth of cargo traffic. While, in supply side, continuous development of port terminals increased more competition among ports or terminals for cargoes. In particular the terminal operating market of Busan port is distorted because of the cargo competition between Busan North-port and Newport. The main purpose of this study is to suggest the stabilization measures of container terminal operating market in Busan port through analysis of the terminal operation market structures and market survey analysis method. For stabilizing the container terminal market, this study suggests the improvement of the legal and institutional system such as improvement in determining and reporting system of stevedoring tariff, establishment of fair competition rules etc., the introduction of port pooling system and adoption of volume-linked terminal lease system with cargo volume ceiling system for each terminal operator.
Seawater desalination has vest interest in terms of ultimate water resources for the countries suffering lack of water supply. Water demand is steadily increasing due to the population growth and industrialization in Asia. The objectives of this study are to prospect the desalination market in Asia countries including China, India and Singapore, and to propose possible strategies of getting through Asia water market. Water supply in China is increasing up to $5,322,060m^3$/d in 2015. Northeast coastal areas such as Tianjin, Shandong, Hubei, and Liaoning are expected rapid increase for water demand. The investment of water supply in India would be 1.74 billion dollars during 2006 to 2015. Chennai, Kutch, and Pondicherry have possibility in introducing seawater desalination plants. Singapore is focusing on water reuse, and operating three NEWater plants (water reuse plants). BOT with total solution providing financing, construction, operation etc. is an adequate strategy to getting through China water market, while desalination plant project connecting with power plant is desirable in India. The cooperative system with Korea and Singapore creates synergy effect regarding planning and operating experience of Singapore and EPC ability of Korea.

In the past, companies should make enormous facility investment and acquire a right to do business in order to join communication markets, but now they can do business without important facilities, such as communication networks. Such a movement to ease regulations about companies which want to newly join the communication industry is expected not only to change a competition frame of the mobile communication market but also to greatly affect the entire communication industry. Through this study aiming to look into a way to calculate a reasonable wholesale price related to the government's introduction of the Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) system, I came up with a following result. I applied the operating profit percentage and the ratio of operating gain to cost to the cost plus model and retail minus model, respectively, to calculate the wholesale price and found that when I calculated with the cost plus model applying the operating profit percentage, I could get the highest wholesale price. On the other hand, I got the lowest wholesale price with the retail minus model by applying the operating profit percentage. Division of expenses and calculation of profit percentage are important factors in calculating the wholesale price and such results are expected to help accurate calculation of the MVNO wholesale price.

Although price of construction equipment affects overall cost of a construction projects, the cycle of updating them presented in the Poom-Saem in Korea is more than six years. Recently there is a demand of using the 'Standard Market Price of Construction Equipment', published by the ministry of Security and Public Administration, for estimating equipment operating and ownership cost. It is urgent to introduce an advanced system for updating the prices which can timely reflect market changes.
The industry of LCD monitor and LCD/TV production is complicate, so there are several OEM/ODM companies concentrated on technical and professional skills. Brand name company establishes its own brand name, sells its own product, and reflects market request. Therefore, the main duty of brand name company is on sales and marketing. This article explains the operating flow on LCD monitor and LCD/TV industry, operating relationship between brand name company and OEM/ODM, and advantage and disadvantage on different points. Furthermore, future trend of LCD monitor and LCD/TV can be reviewed in the article.

Successful operation of power systems under the deregulated electricity market depends on the management of the transmission system reliability. Quantitative evaluation of the transmission system reliability is an important issue. Particularly, the nodal reliability indices can be of value in the management and control of congestion and reliability of the transmission system under the deregulated electricity market. In this study, a method developed for the reliability evaluation of the transmission system is presented. The Monte Carlo methods are used because of their flexibility when complex operating conditions are being considered. The usefulness and effectiveness of the proposed method are illustrated by a case study with the KEPCO system.
In accordance with the Government's policy, renewable power generation is expanding very largely. This leads to increasing uncertainty in the power market and power system owing to the intermittent and fluctuating output characteristics of renewable power generators. Data on the acquisition of renewable power generators can be largely classified according to the operation of the power market and power system. Data on the settlement for the payment for the power amount are acquired in the power market, and real-time data for monitoring the status and output of the generators are acquired in the power system. However, renewable power generators operating in the power market have different acquisition cycles depending on the method of communication of the power meter. They acquire data only for settlement purposes and have no real-time data, which requires improvement. In this paper, the acquisition status is reviewed by classifying the data of renewable power generators into settlement and real-time data. In addition, measures and acquisition criteria for real-time data of renewable power generators for improving the acquisition method are proposed.

The objective of this paper is to propose a knowledge-based fuzzy post adjustment so that unstructured problems can be solved more realistically by expert systems. Major part of this mechanism forcuses on fuzzily assessing the influence of various external factors and accordingly improving the solutions of unstructured problem being concerned. For this purpose, three kinds of knowledge are used : user knowledge, expert knowledge, and machine knowledge. User knowledge is required for evaluating the external factors as well as operating the expert systems. Machine knowledge is automatically derived from historical instances of a target problem domain by using machine learning techniques, and used as a major knowledge source for inference. Expert knowledge is incorporate dinto fuzzy membership functions for external factors which seem to significantly affect the target problems. We applied this mechanism to a prototyoe expert system whose major objective is to provide expert guidance for stock market timing such as sell, buty, or wait. Experiments showed that our proposed mechanism can improve the solution quality of expert systems operating in turbulent decision-making environments.

The traditional outdoor advertising market has been stagnant recently, but the digital advertising market has been steadily increasing, and the digital signage market has been expanding despite the recent corona pandemic. However, in terms of hardware, new displays are required due to excessive power consumption, lack of visibility in sunlight, and continuous operating expenses. Since the e-paper display does not require a light emitting device therein, it is advantageous to solve above problems. In addition, it has the advantage of consuming power only when converting an image due to bistability, so it is suitable as hardware that implements images rather than moving pictures. Currently, one of the most successful examples of commercializing e-paper displays is ESL devices. According to a recent market study, the market for large-sized panels larger than 10 inches has grown at an annual rate of 21.6%, and the market is expected to exceed 30% by 2026. It is judged that it will be relatively easy to apply the roll-to-roll technology, which is currently developing the technology applied to OLED, to the e-paper display. Therefore, mass production technology and market expansion for ESL panel enlargement are expected, and a new market is also expected to be formed at the same time. New markets will be traffic signs, public displays, billboards, façades, kiosks, digital signage, and so on.
