화재 시뮬레이션을 이용한 아파트 화재 위험성 분석 (Hazard analysis by fire simulation in an apartment fire)

  • 본 연구는 CFAST를 이용하여 아파트 화재가 발생하였을 때 인체에 끼치는 위험요소를 예측한다. CFAST 소프트웨어는 National Institute of Standards Technology 산하기관인 Building and Fire Research Lab에서 개발되어진 모델이다. 본 해석 시나리오는 아파트 화재 재현 실험결과에 의해 검증되었다. 해석결과를 요약하면, 침실뿐만 아니라 거실과 작은방의 상황도 실험 데이터와 정성적으로 같은 경향을 보인다. 화재 당시 거실과 작은방에 사람이 있었다면 산소와 이산화탄소의 농도로 인하여 어지러움을 호소하거나 심하게는 구토, 마비 같은 증상이 발생되었을 것으로 예측되었다.

  • The mandatory installation of the ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) became an important navigational equipment for navigation officer. In addition, ECDIS is a key component of the ship's digitalization in conjunction with various navigational equipment. Meanwhile, cyber-attacks emerge as a new threat along with digitalization. Damage caused by cyber-attacks is also reported in the shipping sector, and IMO recommends that cybersecurity guidelines be developed and included in International Security Management (ISM). This study analyzed the cybersecurity hazards of ECDIS, where various navigational equipment are connected. To this end, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) was conducted on navigation officer using ECDIS. As a result, the development of technologies for cyber-attack detection and prevention should be priority. In addition, policies related to 'Hardware and Software upgrade', 'network access control', and 'data backup and recovery' were analyzed as contents to be maintained. This paper is significant in deriving risk factors from the perspective of ECDIS users and analyzing their priorities, and it is necessary to analyze various cyber-attacks that may occur on ships in the future.

PPK Kit를 활용한 드론 측량 분석 (Analysis of Drone Surveying Using a Low-Cost PPK Kit)

  • With the popularization of drones and the ease of use of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), drone photogrammetry for terrain information has been widely used. Drone photogrammetry enables the realization of high-accuracy three-dimensional topography for the entire area with less effort and time compared to the past direct survey using GNSS or total station. From 3-D topographic data, various topographical analysis is possible. To improve the accuracy of drone photogrammetry, direct GCP surveying in the field is essential, and the numbers and reasonable positioning of GCPs are very important. In the case of beaches or tidal flats on the west coast of Korea, the numbers and location of GCPs are important factors in efficient drone photogrammetry because of the size of the area, difficulties of movement, and the risk from tides. If the RTK (Real-time kinematic) or PPK (Post-processed kinematic) method is used, the increased accuracy of the drone's location enables high-accuracy photogrammetry with a small number of GCPs. This study presents an efficient drone photogrammetry method in terms of time and economy by comparing and analyzing the results of drone photogrammetry using Non-PPK with low-cost PPK-Kit, based on the tests of various numbers and locations of GCPs in the university field including various slopes and structures like coastal terrain.

제철원료 관련 요인과 BCI 간의 정보전이 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spillover Effect of Information between Factors Related to Steel Materials and BCI)

  • The Baltic Capesize Index (BCI), which is used as an indicator for marine transportation of steel raw materials, is one of the key economic indexes for managing the risk of loss due to rapid market fluctuations when steel companies establish business strategies and procuring plans for raw materials. Still, the conditions of supply and demand of steel raw materials has been extremely affected by volatility shocks from drastic events like the financial crisis such as the Lehman Brothers incident and changes in the external environment such as COVID-19. And, especially since the 2008 financial crisis, endeavors to predict the market conditions of the steel raw material is becoming more and more arduous for the deepening uncertainty and increased volatility of BCI, which has been used as a leading indicator of the real economy. This study investigates the correlation between the steel raw material market and the marine transportation market by estimating the spillover effect of information between markets. The vector error correction model (VECM) was used to analyze information transfer based on the correlation between the BCI and crude steel production, capesize fleet supply, raw material price, and cargo volume.

수상 안전을 위한 Finger Printing 기반 무선 위치추적 기술 (Finger Printing Based Radio Positioning Scheme for Maritime Safety)

  • 본 논문은 인명구조, 사고방지, 시설관리 등 수상환경에서 위치정보가 필요한 상황에서 무선 신호를 활용한 효율적인 위치 추적 기술을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 유저의 배터리 파워 소모량을 고려하여 제한된 전력 내에서 위험도를 최소화한다. 수상의 일정 반경 내에서 유저의 송수신 신호 세기를 이용하여 유저의 위치를 알 수 있는데, 이 때 유저가 일정 반경을 벗어나는 것을 사전에 방지할 필요가 있다. 이 논문에서는 먼저 유저가 일정 반경을 벗어나는 것을 방지하기 위해 위험도 함수를 정의한다. 위험도 함수는 위치정확도, 수심, 유속 등 수상 환경 위험에 관련된 다양한 요인들을 고려한다. 본 논문은 finger printing 기법을 이용한 효율적인 무선 측위 기술을 활용하여 일정 지역 내에 위치한 유저의 평균 위험도를 최소화하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.

수협 재해 보험급여를 이용한 근해안강망 어선원의 안전 위험 요소 평가 (Hazard Factors Assessment for the Fishermen's Safety on the Vessel of Offshore Stow Nets on Anchor using Insurance Proceeds Payment of NFFC)

  • The stow net is a stationary gear made from netting, usually in shape like trawl net without wings. The nets are fixed by means of anchors, placed according to the direction and strength of the current. And the commercial fishing is associated with high rate of fatal and non-fatal occupational injury. The hazard factors analysis for the fishermen's safety of offshore stow nets vessel was conducted to serve as a basic data for improving the healthy and safe working environment of fishermen using fishermen's occupational accidents of the national federation of fisheries cooperatives (NFFC) from 2012 to 2014 (n=1,144). As a result, the average occupational accident occurrence rate of this fishery was 206.9‰ in all industries 36.9 times the rate of that. In addition, average death and missing rate was found to have a very serious level management to 50.4‰ in all industries of death of 42.0 times. The accident occurred in 84.5 to 94.6% was happened at sea. The struck by object, slipping, contact with machinery, contact by object or gear and others occurred more frequently in order on the frequency of accident occurrence pattern. However, the occurrence rate of death and missing did not match the frequency of accident pattern. In other words, slipping occurred frequently higher while death and missing risk was not high. And the contact with fishing gear and fall in the waters was low while death and missing risk was high. The results are expected to contribute for identification and assessment of safety hazard occurred in offshore stow nets vessel.

누출 수소 환기에 영향을 미치는 요인별 환기 특성에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on Ventilation Characteristics of Factors Affecting Leakages in Hydrogen Ventilation)

  • 수소는 산소와 반응하여 전기에너지를 만들고 부산물로 물을 생성하므로 친환경 선박의 대체 연료로 대두되고 있다. 그러나 수소는 일반 화석연료와는 달리 낮은 점화 에너지와 높은 가연성 범위로 인하여 폭발의 위험성이 높은 물질이다. 그래서 선박에서 사용되는 수소의 안전성을 확보하기 위해서 수소의 누출·확산에 관한 유동 특성을 연구하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 선박 내부와 같은 밀폐공간에서 수소가 누출되었을 때 누출량, 통풍량, 환기 방식 등이 환기 성능에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 수치적 해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석에는 CFD 상용 소프트웨어인 ANSYS CFX ver 18.1을 이용하였다. 누출량은 1 q = 1 g/s로 하여 1 q, 2 q, 3 q로 변경하였고, 통풍량은 1 Q = 0.91 m/s로 하여 1 Q, 2 Q, 3 Q로 변경하였으며 환기 방식은 typeI, typeII, typeIII로 변경하면서 환기 성능을 분석하였다. 누출량이 1 q에서 3 q로 증가할수록 저장실 내의 수소 몰분율(HMF)는 약 2.4 ~ 3.0배 높게 나타났으며 통풍량 증가는 누출량에 대비하여 약 62.0 ~ 64.8 % 정도 환기 성능이 개선에 효과가 있었다. 그리고 폭발의 위험성을 낮추기 위한 통풍량은 최소 2 Q 이상 되어야 하며, 수소탱크 저장실 내부의 부압 형성을 위해서는 type III가 가장 적합한 방식이라고 판단하였다.

조선업종에서의 휴먼에러 예방 (Prevention of Human Error in Shipbuilding Industry)

  • The nuclear power plants and chemical industries are trying to find human error to prevent occupational injury. The ratio of occupational injury is higher than the other industries in shipbuilding industry. It is known that the most important reason is human error. Recently, the shipbuilding industries interest in human error to prevent occupational injury. This paper outlines four approaches of human error identification used in shipbuilding industry such as survey of occupational injury, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and performance shaping factors. Finally, this paper proposes the interventions of ergonomics for preventing the human errors.

유해화학물질의 생태계 모델링 - I. 동경만 Nonylphenol의 환경동태 해석 - (Ecological modeling for toxic substances - I . Numerical simulation of transport and fate of Nonylphenol in Tokyo Bay-)

  • A three-dimensional ecological model (EMT -3D) was applied to Nonylphenol in Tokyo Bay. EMT -3D was calibrated with data obtained in the study area. The simulated results of dissolved Nonylphenol were in good agreement with the observed values, with a correlation coefficient(R) of 0.7707 and a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.5940. The results of sensitivity analysis showed that biodegradation rate and bioconcentration factor are most important factors for dissolved Nonylphenol and Nonylphenol in phytoplankton, respectively. In the case of Nonylphenol in particulate organic carbon, biodegradation rate and partition coefficient were important factors. Therefore, the parameters must be carefully considered in the modeling. The mass balance results showed that standing stocks of Nonylphenol in water, in particulate organic carbon and in phytoplankton are $8.60\times 10^5\;g,\;2.19\times 10^2\;g\;and\;3.78\times 10^0\;g$ respectively. With respect to the flux of dissolved Nonylphenol, biodegradation in the water column, effluent to the open sea and partition to particulate organic carbon were $6.02\times10^3\;g/day,\;6.02\times10^2\;g/day\;and\;1.02\times10^1\;g/day$, respectively.

시판수산물에서 분리한 Vibrio parahaemolyticus의 병원성 인자와 항균제 내성 현황 (Virulence Factors and Antimicrobial Resistance of Vibrio parahaemolyticus Isolated from Commercial Fisheries Products)

  • Vibrio parahaemolyticus causes food poisoning, mainly via marine fisheries products. We investigated the virulence factors and drug resistance of V. parahaemolyticus isolated from fisheries products purchased from the Yeosu Fisheries Market. The isolates were identified using a variety of biochemical tests and the detection of toxR and hns gene. The presence of the virulence factor-encoding genes tdh and trh in the isolates was also investigated by PCR. The resistance of the isolates to 13 antibacterial agents was tested using the disc-diffusion method and carriage of β-lactamase genes and class 1 integrons by ampicillin-resistant isolates was investigated by PCR. Four of seventeen isolates identified as V. parahaemolyticus by biochemical tests produced a species-specific PCR band. Those isolates showed >98% 16S rRNA gene sequence homology with V. parahaemolyticus and only one isolate harbored the tdh gene. All of the V. parahaemolyticus isolates were resistant to ampicillin and amoxicillin; moreover, VPA0477, a class A β-lactamase gene, and class 1 integrons were detected. Therefore, V. parahaemolyticus from fisheries products represents a low risk to human health. Also, V. parahaemolyticus is likely to develop multidrug resistance because it has class 1 integrons.
