A Low-Cost Approach for Path Programming of Terrestrial Drones on a Construction Site

  • Robots for construction sites, although not deeply widespread, are finding applications in the duties of project monitoring, material movement, documentation, security, and simple repetitive construction-related tasks. A significant shortcoming in the use of robots is the complexity involved in programming and re-programming an automation routine. Robotic programming is not an expected skill set of the traditional construction industry professional. Therefore, this research seeks to deliver a low-cost approach toward re-programming that does not involve a programmer's skill set. The researchers in this study examined an approach toward programming a terrestrial-based drone so that it follows a taped path. By doing so, if an alternative path is required, programmers would not be needed to re-program any part of the automated routine. Changing the path of the drone simply requires removing the tape and placing a different path - ideally simplifying the process and quickly allowing practitioners to implement a new automated routine. Python programming scripts were used with a DJI Robomaster EP Core drone, and a terrain navigation assessment was conducted. The study examined the pass/fail rates for a series of trial run over different terrains. The analysis of this data along with video recording for each trial run allowed the researchers to conclude that the accuracy of the tape follow technique was predictable on each of the terrain surfaces. The accuracy and predictability inform a non-coding construction practitioner of the optimal placement of the taped path. This paper further presents limitations and suggestions for some possible extended research options for this study.

헤어샵 이용 소비자의 구전정보가 방문의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Word-of-Mouth Information on Visiting Intention of Hairshop Customers)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the infiluence of positive and negative word-of-mouth informations on visiting intention of hairshop customers. Data were collected from 342 adult females and analyzed by using frequencies, factor analysis and regression utilizing SPSS/PC+. The results showed that positive word-of-mouth informations such as shop employees' skill/attitudes, physical benefit, comfortable facilities, time saving/consistent service, kindness and rational price had influence on the visiting intention of hairshop customers. The negative word-of-mouth informations that consumers had experienced using hairshop were categorized as untrustworthy face-to-face customer management, non-customer service oriented mind, and unskilled employees/inefficient hairshop environment. The negative word-of-mouth informations had no effect on the visiting intention.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the new marriage preparation program for premarital couples. To develop the new program existing studies and programs for the marriage preparation in Korea. U. S. A and Canada were reviewed. The new marriage preparation program was consisted with eight-session(two hours per session)program that is Realistic expectations of marriage, Understanding of themselves & partner Role expectations, Communication Intimacy Conflict resolution Sexuality Financial management. Major findings were as follows: 1. The new marriage preparation program for premarital couples was improved participants' premarital couple relationship 2,. Participants had positive impression to various aspects of the new marriage preparation program such as Realistic expectations of marriage Understanding of themselves & partner Role expectation Effective communication skill Effective conflict resolution skill.

Multi-Dimensional Analysis on Korean IS Practitioners' Job Activities and Competency Requirements

  • Research results show (1) there are two dimensions characterizing Korean IS practitioners : 'project -operation' and 'product-orientation-strategic-orientation', (2) there are two distinctive and main career paths of Korean IS practitioners : generalists who support using information systems in the context of operation and specialists who are engaged in software development or improvement projects, and (3) Korean IS practitioners are experiencing serious and pervasive knowledge and skill deficiencies. Research results also provide clear evidence that Korean universities fail to provide eligible entry-level software developers and that the shortage of eligible entry-level software developers distorts both IS specialists' careers and knowledge and skill requirements for them.

  • In this paper, we analyze an N-design call center with skill-based routing, in which one pool of agents handles two types of calls and another pool of agents handles only one type of calls. The approximate analysis is motivated by a computational complexity that has been observed in the direct stochastic approach and numerical method for finding performance measures. The workforce staffing policy is very important to the successful management of call centers. So the allocation scheduling of the agents can be considered as the optimization problem of the corresponding queueing system to the call center. We use a decomposition algorithm which divides the state space of the queueing system into the subspaces for the approximate analysis of the N-design call center with two different types of agents. We also represent some numerical examples and show the impact of the system parameters on the performance measures.

도시 저소득층소비자의 경제문제에 관한 연구 - 서울과 인천의 주부를 중심으로 (A Study on the Economic Problems of Urban Low-income Families)

  • This study attempts to explain the income and consumption problems of urban low-income consumers and to explore factors of their poverty. For the purpose of this study, interviews were conducted with 124 low-income home managers. All the subjects live in Seoul and Inchon. The major findings are: First, low-income families seriously suffer from low income and small property. And the degree of economic hardship is the most serious with wife-working families whose husbands have no job or are dead. Second, low-income consumers have low budgeting and purchasing skill. Third, low-income consumers have 'doing' orientation but have fatalistic value orientation. This study suggests that it is necessary to develop an integrative measurement of economic hardship. It also suggests that low level of low-income consumer's skill can be well explained in terms of man-nature value orientation.

  • 시스템분석가에게 요구되는 기능과 기술이 무엇인지를 밝히는 것은 기업들은 물론이고 경영교육기관들에게 매우 중요한 문제이다. 인터넷과 같은 엄청난 기술의 발전은 정보기술 연구자들로 하여금 어떤 기술이 쇠퇴하고 어떤 기술이 새롭게 등장하는지를 밝히도록 요구하고 있다. 이 논문은 새로이 대기업에 취업을 하여 일하고 있는 시스템분석가로 부터 온 편지의 내용과 교육기관에서 사용하고 있는 교재의 내용을 비교 분석하고자 한다. 이것은 정보기술종사자들의 편지가 또 하나의 훌륭한 연구 및 교육재료임을 밝히고자 함이다.

간호대학생의 임상실습 시기별 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감의 변화양상 (A Study on Changes of Confidence in Core Basic Nursing Skill by Each Period of Clinical Practicum of Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감을 임상실습 시기별로 조사하여 시기적 특성에 따른 변화양상을 파악하고자 시도된 종단연구이다. 자료수집은 2016년 3월 9일부터 12월 16일까지 J도 소재 간호대학생 94명을 대상으로 총 4회에 걸쳐 조사하였다. 자료분석은 빈도분석, 기술통계, paired t-test를 사용하였다. 연구결과 임상실습 시기별 핵심기본 간호술 수행자신감은 대체적으로 임상실습 전이 가장 낮고 시간의 경과 및 임상실습경험 정도에 따라 점차 상승하는 양상이었으나, 2학기 첫 실습 후에는 모든 항목에서 1학기 첫 실습 후보다 오히려 하락하는 양상을 보였다. 또한 임상실습 시기간 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감 차이는 1학기 첫 실습 후는 임상실습 전보다 높았고, 학년 말 실습 후는 2학기 첫 실습 후보다 높았다. 본 연구 결과 간호대학생의 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감을 향상시키기 위해서는 임상실습의 시기적 특성을 반영한 효율적이고 체계적인 임상실습 교육전략이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

항만하역 근로자들의 직무 스트레스에 관한 연구 (A Study on Job Stress of Container Termainal Workers)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study is to evaluate the job characteristics of container terminal workers by applying the Job Strain model, and to assess the relationship among the general characteristics, job characteristics and psychosocial distress. Methods: A self-administrated questionnaire survey was performed to the container terminal workers in Pusan. Among the 200 male workers who answered the questionnaires, white-collar workers and blue-collar workers were 100, respectively. Karaseks Job Content Questionnaire was utilized to evaluate the job characteristics and Psychosocial well-being index (PWI) was applied to measure the extent of their psychosocial stress. Results: In white-collar workers, the skill discretion, created skill, decision-making authority, decision-making latitude, psychological job demand, and supervisor support of the job characteristics were significantly high, while in blue-collar workers physical exertion was significantly high. The result of Psychosocial well-being index (PWI) reveals that blue-collar workers were more stressed than white-collar workers, especially, the indices of depression (factor 2), sleeping disturbance and anxiety (factor 3), General well-being and vitality (factor 4) were significantly increased; whereas, in white-collar workers, only the index of social performance and self-confidence (factor 1) was significantly increased. And PWI scores were significantly increased in the lower social support and psychological job demand. By the multiple logistic regression analysis for PWI, blue-collar workers had increased odds ratio of 2.66(95% CI;1.11-6.41) compared with white-collar workers. The unmarried workers increased odds ratio of 3.54(95% CI;1.18-10.62) compared with married workers. And workers who have not own house increased odds ratio of 2.35(95% CI;1.15-4.79) compared with workers who have own house. Particularly, odds ratio of work-shift in blue-collar workers was 11.10(2.14-57.64). Conclusion: Skill discretion, created skill, decision-making authority, decision-making latitude, psychological job demand, and supervisor support were increased in white-collar workers. Decreased skill discretion and increased physical exertion were found in blue-collar workers, which is supported the Job Strain model. Job stress of blue-collar workers was comparatively higher than that of white-collar workers, especially, skill discretion, decision-making authority, decision-making latitude, job insecurity, physical exertion were noticeable factors. Especially, sleeping, smoking, and work shifting turned out to be a main cause that increases stress. Therefore, in order to decrease the job stress, a health promotion program to change the health behaviors should be activated and an organized job stress management program should be introduced. Especially, working condition for blue-collar such as physical exertion and work-shift should be improved.

무용수업 참여정도가 사회성발달과 또래관계에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Participation in Dance Classes on Social Skill Development and Peer Relationship)

  • 본 연구는 무용수업 참여 정도가 사회성발달과 또래 관계에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있으며 다음과 같은 결과가 나왔다. 첫째, 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 사회성발달과 또래 관계의 차이에서는 성별에서 또래 관계의 하위요인 경쟁심은 남학생이 높게 나타났으며, 학년에 따른 또래 관계의 하위요인 중 자신감은 2학년 학생이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 중학생의 무용수업 참여 정도에 따라 사회성발달에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 무용수업 참여기간은 사회성 하위요인 자율성, 성취성, 협동성에 유의한 영향을 주며 참여빈도는 책임성, 활동성에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 무용수업 참여 기간이 증가할수록 사회성발달에 발달한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 중학생의 무용수업 참여 정도가 또래 관계에 미치는 영향성을 살펴본 결과 무용수업 참여 기간이 높을수록 또래 관계 하위요인들이 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 참여 기간이 증가할수록 적대감이 감소한 결과가 나타났다. 즉 참여 시간, 참여빈도, 참여 기간 모두 증가할수록 또래 관계에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
