Conceptualizing 5G's of Green Marketing for Retail Consumers and Validating the Measurement Model Through a Pilot Study

  • Purpose: This pilot study aims to conceptualize a new green marketing mix for retail consumers based on Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) model. Moreover, it also aims to conceptualize a testable research model of new green marketing mix with consumers' green purchasing behavior, and to validate the measurement model with traditional as well as modern suggested validating techniques. Research design, data and methodology: A pilot test data from 75 respondents of retail buyers of energy-efficient electric appliances in Pakistan were tested for the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) by examining a measurement model of the construct through different validation techniques (like Composite Reliability, McDonald's Omega (ω), rho (ρA), HTMT, etc.) as heretofore these scales were not validated through these modern methods. Results: The results revealed that the instrument has a certain degree of reliability and validity through different validating techniques. All the measurement items reach the suggested threshold values. Conclusions: Therefore, this study conceptualized an integrated framework of all the three stakeholders of the environment (government, companies, and public or consumers) to achieve environmental sustainability. Hence, future studies can extend these findings and conduct a full-scale study to establish an empirical relationship between the 5G's of green marketing for retailing businesses and consumers' green purchase behavior.

The Development of an Intelligent Home Energy Management System Integrated with a Vehicle-to-Home Unit using a Reinforcement Learning Approach

  • Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) and Home Centralized Photovoltaic (HCPV) systems can address various energy storage issues and enhance demand response programs. Renewable energy, such as solar energy and wind turbines, address the energy gap. However, no energy management system is currently available to regulate the uncertainty of renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, and appliance consumption within a smart microgrid. Therefore, this study investigated the impact of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, electric vehicles, and Micro-Grid (MG) storage on maximum solar radiation hours. Several Deep Learning (DL) algorithms were applied to account for the uncertainty. Moreover, a Reinforcement Learning HCPV (RL-HCPV) algorithm was created for efficient real-time energy scheduling decisions. The proposed algorithm managed the energy demand between PV solar energy generation and vehicle energy storage. RL-HCPV was modeled according to several constraints to meet household electricity demands in sunny and cloudy weather. Simulations demonstrated how the proposed RL-HCPV system could efficiently handle the demand response and how V2H can help to smooth the appliance load profile and reduce power consumption costs with sustainable power generation. The results demonstrated the advantages of utilizing RL and V2H as potential storage technology for smart buildings.

  • 고체 산화물 연료전지는 $800{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$의 고온에서 작동한다. 고온 작동은 효율에 유리하지만 재료 요구 조건, 신뢰성, 열팽창 문제 등이 발생하여 온도 제어가 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 연료전지 시스템의 열관리를 위한 상태 공간 제어기를 설계하고 응답 특성을 확인하였다. 연료전지 스택과 열관리 핵심부품인 촉매연소기는 집중 용량법을 이용한 과도 응답 모델을 개발하였고, 구성품과 통합하여 정적 운전 특성을 확인하였다. 개발된 비선형 시스템을 정격 운전 조건에서 다중 입력과 출력이 가능한 상태 공간 식으로 선형화하였다. 부하에 따라 응답특성이 현저하게 달라지는 특성을 제어하기 위해 LQR 제어기를 설계하여 궤환 제어 시스템의 온도를 제어하였다. 상태 궤환 제어기가 적어도 두 개의 제어 게인을 가지고 운전 영역에 따른 응답을 보여줄 때, 원하는 온도 응답을 나타냄을 확인하였다.

  • 2015년 중동지역에서 발생한 메르스(Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, MERS)는 주요 발병국인 사우디아라비아를 제외하고 세계적으로 우리나라에 가장 큰 피해를 입힌 급성 호흡기 감염병이다. 메르스 사태는 인명피해뿐만 아니라 국민적 불안감과 막대한 경제적 피해를 가져왔으며, 정부의 감염병 위기관리 체계의 문제점을 여실히 보여주었다. 정부의 메르스 확산에 대한 대응능력의 한계와 국민을 대상으로 하는 정부의 커뮤니케이션 미흡 등은 정부의 감염병 위기관리 정책에 대한 국민의 신뢰를 저하시켰으며, 감염병으로 인해 국가의 방역망 체계가 쉽게 무너질 수 있다는 경각심을 불러일으키는 계기가 되었다. 이에 본 연구는 미국의 감염병 긴급대응체계를 고찰하여 우리나라 감염병 위기관리 체계의 개선방안을 모색하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여, 2015년 정부의 메르스 대응현황을 살펴보았다. 그리고 미국 CDC의 EOC 조직 구성 및 역할과 IMS 등을 분석하였다.

  • 기업 간의 비교 우위를 판단하고 공유하여 상호 보완하고자 하는 컬래버레이션이 요즘은 동종 업계뿐 아니라 이종업계 간에 일상적이지 않은 새롭고 이색적인 컬래버레이션으로 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이러한 트렌드는 즐거움과 재미를 바탕으로 소비자들의 관심을 증대시키고 있다. 그러나 이색적인 컬래버레이션이 지속적으로 긍정적인 효과를 이끌 수는 없으며 오히려 모든 기업들이 컬래버레이션을 하다보면 역효과가 나타날 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 소비자의 반응이 항상 긍정적일 수는 없기 때문에 소비자의 이해를 기반으로 소비가치와 브랜드 신뢰성을 통해 컬래버레이션의 제품태도와 구매의도에 대한 소비자반응을 탐색적으로 조사하였다. 그 결과 브랜드 신뢰성이 컬래버레이션을 구매하고자 하려는 의도와 제품태도에 브랜드 신뢰성이 매개 역할을 하였다. 본 연구는 소비가치와 브랜드 간의 협업제품에 대한 관계를 살펴봄으로써, 기업의 입장에서는 소비자의 이해를 기반으로 이색적인 컬래버레이션 전략을 통한 브랜드 관리와 전략을 수립하는데 실무적 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

농업기반시설물 양·배수장의 성능저하 요인분석 및 성능평가 모델 개발 (Development of Evaluation Model of Pumping and Drainage Station Using Performance Degradation Factors)

  • Recently, natural disasters due to abnormal climates are frequently outbreaking, and there is rapid increase of damage to aged agricultural infrastructure. As agricultural infrastructure facilities are in contact with water throughout the year and the number of them is significant, it is important to build a maintenance management system. Especially, the current maintenance management system of pumping and drainage stations among the agricultural facilities has the limit of lack of objectivity and management personnel. The purpose of this study is to develop a performance evaluation model using the factors related to performance degradation of pumping and drainage facilities and to predict the performance of the facilities in response to climate change. In this study, we focused on the pumping and drainage stations belonging to each climatic zone separated by the Korea geographical climatic classification system. The performance evaluation model was developed using three different statistical models of POLS, RE, and LASSO. As the result of analysis of statistical models, LASSO was selected for the performance evaluation model as it solved the multicollinearity problem between variables, and showed the smallest MSE. To predict the performance degradation due to climate change, the climate change response variables were classified into three categories: climate exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity. The performance degradation prediction was performed at each facility using the developed performance evaluation model and the climate change response variables.

시뮬레이션 기반 흉관배액 관리 간호교육이 간호학생의 시나리오 경험에 대한 반응, 학습에 대한 자신감 및 문제해결능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Simulation-Based Chest Tube Drain Management Nursing Education on Nursing Students' Response to Scenario Experiences, Confidence in Learning, and Problem Solving Ability)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 시뮬레이션 기반 흉관배액관리 간호교육이 간호학생의 시나리오 경험에 대한 반응, 학습에 대한 자신감 및 문제해결능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 것이다, 본 연구는 단일군 전후설계 실험 연구로 133명의 3학년 간호학생을 31개조로 시뮬레이션 교육 중재를 시행하였다. 연구결과, 시뮬레이션 실습교육 시행 전보다 시행 후에 시나리오 경험에 대한 반응은 긍정적인 결과로 나타났고, 학습에 대한 자신감 및 문제해결능력은 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 이는 간호학 실습교육에 있어서 시뮬레이터를 이용한 시뮬레이션 교육이 효과적임을 보여주는 결과라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 현장중심의 실습교육 및 임상실무의 질을 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Reliability and responsiveness of Equivital Lifemonitor and photoplethysmography based wristwatch for the assessment of physiological parameters during a simulated fatigue task

  • Objective: To investigate test-retest reliability and responsiveness of Equivital Lifemonitor and photoplethysmography based wristwatch tools in assessing physiological parameters during a simulated fatigue task. Methods: Ten university students (Mean age, 30.6 ± 1.7 years) participated in this pilot study. Participants were asked to perform a 30-minute of a simulated fatigue task in an experimental setup in a lab. The physiological parameters (e.g., heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, electrodermal activity, and skin temperature) were measured at baseline and immediately after the fatigue task. An intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC2,1) was used to evaluate the test-retest reliability of each tool in assessing physiological measures. In addition, the responsiveness of each tool to measure changes from baseline to posttest was calculated using a standardized response mean. Results: The Equivital Lifemonitor has shown good to excellent test-retest reliability for the assessment of heart rate (ICC, 0.97), heart rate variability (ICC, 0.86), respiratory rate (ICC, 0.77), and local skin temperature (ICC, 0.76). However, photoplethysmography based wristwatch showed moderate to good test-retest reliability for the assessment of heart rate (ICC, 0.71), heart rate variability (ICC, 0.73), electrodermal activity (ICC, 0.80), and skin temperature (ICC, 0.72). A large standardized response mean (>0.8) indicates that both tools can capture the changes in heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and electrodermal activity after a 30-minute of fatigue task. Conclusions: The Equivital Lifemonitor and photoplethysmography based wristwatch devices are reliable in measuring physiological parameters after the fatigue task. Additionally, both devices can capture the fatigue response after a simulated construction task. Future field studies with a larger sample should investigate the sensitivity and validity of these tools in measuring physiological parameters for fatigue assessment at construction sites.

  • Within globalization of fashion business Korean culture is affecting fashion business. Although Korean culture is creating new content and economic value presently, the research on Korean fashion culture has been limited. Therefore, this study has identified attributes influencing cognitive, affective response as well as consumer preference and purchase towards contemporary Korean culture clothing. This study aims to do the following: (1) examine the effect of the identified contemporary cultural apparel product attributes on cognitive, affective response (2) Analyze the effect of cognitive, affective response on preference and purchase intention (3) Determine the relationship between preference and purchase intention. This study result defines the importance of studying contemporary cultural apparel product attributes for better fashion marketing business in the fashion and cultural field to attract consumers.

스트레스 중재를 포함한 포괄적인 생활습관개선 프로그램이 제2형 당뇨병환자의 당조절과 스트레스 반응에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Comprehensive Life Style Modification Program on Glycemic Control and Stress Response in Type 2 Diabetes)

  • Purpose: This study was to evaluate the effects of a comprehensive life style modification program on glycemic control and stress response in type 2 diabetes. Method: The participants(n=34) with type 2 diabetes were divided into either a usual care(control) or treatment(experimental) group. The experimental group(n=21) received a program that was based on a comprehensive life style modification protocol at a weekly meeting for 16 weeks. They also participated in individually prescribed exercise and diet along with stress management and self monitoring. The participants were followed for 6 months, during which postprandial glucose, HbA$_{1C]$, and stress response inventory were measured. Result: The experimental group showed a significant lower postprandial glucose and stress response compared to those of the control group. However, there was no significant change in the HbA$_{1C]$ value in either group. Conclusions: These results suggest that a type 2 diabetes comprehensive lifestyle modification program may lead to clinical improvement in glycemic control and reduce the stress response.
