Purpose:?The purpose of this study is to analyze the causal relationship between top management 's leadership and construction quality management activities that affect construction management performance based on construction quality management. Methods:?As its method, the causal relationship between the leadership of top management and the key management factors of construction quality management activities affecting management performance is analyzed by using the structural equation model. The construction companies used in the analysis sample conducted surveys on companies that are conducting ISO, KOSHA, OHSAS, DQC, and so on. Results:?It was revealed that top management's leadership has a great influence on management performance and all management factors of construction quality management activities. However, safety management does not affect the management performance of construction quality management activities. And top management's leadership on management performance are explained by the mediating effect of cost, time, quality and communication among management factors of construction quality management activities. Conclusion:?In the previous study, the quality management activities and the ISO - based integrated total quality management system (TQM) applied in the manufacturing or service industries were presented as empirical results. However, this study presents the results of different studies by presenting empirical study results by selecting time, cost, quality, safety and communication as key management factors of quality management activities of construction companies through reviewing and analyzing previous studies in construction field.
This paper deals with an empirical analysis of the structural relationship among the factors such as quality management activities, organizational learning and firm performance of manufacturing corporations. The findings of the analysis are expected to make lots of contribution to manufacturing corporations establishing strategies for quality management activities and organizational learning. From the analysis, following conclusions and suggestions could be drawn: First, an analysis of the relationship between quality management activities and organizational learning showed that most activities of quality management turned out to exercise great influence upon the factors of organizational learning. This means that the activities of quality management will prompt the members of an organization to actively engage in learning activities individually, by team and organizationally, motivating them to spread such activities across the whole organization, leading ultimately to fundamental renovation of the very organization. Second, from an analysis of the relationship between organizational learning and firm performance, that is, financial and non-financial performances of a company, it was found that most factors of organizational learning have tremendous impact upon financial and non-financial performances of the company. Such result implies that decision and management of the things to be performed in the process of organizational performances are essential to determining firm performance because firm performance depend largely on the outcomes of organizational learning.
This study is to devide seven subject organs in the metropolitan area by the Malcolm Baldrige's basis which is global standard of management quality to grip the each activities of management quality, to conduct a survey of the management quality of each organ or persons in charge of similar works. Generally, those surveyed show to recognize on the management quality and to apply to real work. Those surveyed show to be able to improve positively quality and service level in case of appling to work of management quality, and to be positive reaction on the contribution about management performance. This study indicates the predominant view which the researcher have to establish the its vision clearly and to promote in a lump success factors of management quality, and the chief executive have to take a firm faith for it. This study also suggest that recognizing positively about its vision and strategy about present condition of management quality activities is one of the implements which not only judge but also establish a good system of an organization. And there has a significant difference between Public and Private Organizations that those evaluate management quality conducts better management performance. However management quality activities shows to mostly agree to be influencing positively to management performance.
The purpose of this research is to identify the effect of quality circles activities upon quality circles performance and business performance. Empirical results indicate that quality circle activities influence on quality circles performance in both individual and enterprise level, Quality circles performance influences on not employment satisfaction but customer satisfaction, business performance (profitability and market values) of companies with quality circles is higher than that of companies without quality circles. In conclusion, quality circle activities influence on quality circles performance that effect on business performance.
The purpose of this research is to suggest the promotive directions of Quality Circle activity. Since 1975, variety of organizations in Korea have widely the implemented Quality Circle activities for their management systems. Today, Companies are facing the harsh realities of a competitive environment. This is no time for revolutionary change. Instead, Companies are instituting revolutionary change meant to have impact within a very short time frame. The Worker's Quality Circle activity is, essentially, a trouble shooting oriented voluntary small group within their working place to improve the surroundings creatively. The industries have enthusiastically used Quality Circle activities and were influenced from them. The Quality Circle activities can be regarded as a kind of Knowledge Management where new knowledge is created and knowledge is shared in the economy. However, the academics were less interested in this subject, as a result, there were no systematic guidances for Quality Circle activities. Also, the government was less interested in these activities, as a result, there were no systematic policy making for Quality Circle activities. Thus, in this research, the promotive directions for Quality Circle activities were suggested which were based on the results of survey Questionnaires presented to promoters of the domestic companies. As a results of this research, to maximize the effect of TQM(Total Quality Management) in the nationwide, Quality Circle activity as a bottom-up management should be more expanded and revitalized.
Purpose: Nursing home quality indicators have been focused widely on result outcomes, not for the environment in that quality of service are delivered, This study aimed to examine structural factors influencing quality management activities in nursing homes. Method: Sample was 170 nursing homes responded to the survey questionnaire which was distributed to the 543 nursing homes nation-wide, Data were collected on structural characteristics, types of services, and quality management activities, Data were analyzed with the descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations, and multiple regression. Result: Most of the nursing homes were operated as free of charge by the social welfare ownership. Average number of residents was 52.1 with severe and mild dementia and bedridden status, In terms of quality management activities, 34% of the sample had CQI committee that focused their activities on services delivery process, performance appraisal, record keeping regularly. 30.6% of quality management activities were accounted for by the number of residents with dementia, the ratio of RN to residents, rehabilitation services, and social wefare services in nursing homes. Conclusion: We recommend that more comprehensive quality management activities should be developed as process quality indicators in conjunction with the outcome indicators.

The article proves the relevance of developing conceptual frameworks for managing the quality assurance of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants. It is established that the fundamental difference of the logistic approach in management from traditional approaches is the allocation of a single management function of previously separated, disparate material flows, as well as economic, technological, information integration of chain links into a single system capable of effective management of these flows. It is substantiated that the functioning of the enterprise as a logistics system can be represented in the form of a triad of logistics components, namely: supply logistics, production logistics, sales logistics. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants is a functional component of the entire logistics system due to the quality of work and interaction of all participants in the implementation of certain activities. The quality of logistics activities will affect the level of economic potential, rationalization and optimization of all logistics flows. It is proved that the management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants involves the following main areas: the introduction of a quality system of logistics processes; development and implementation of the general strategy of quality improvement at the enterprise; internal integration; controlling. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of its participants requires compliance with the following requirements: systematic and comprehensive management of all flow processes; coordination of criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the entire logistics system; dissemination of the use and application of information technology; ensuring partnerships and close interaction of all participants in sales networks.
As the competition among the ports is extreme, the purpose of this study which intendsto keep sustainable competitive advantage in Busan Container Terminals through the quality management of port service is shown as the followings. First, the common factor of quality management activities In the part of domestic container port is to be analysed. secondly, the efforts for enhancing the standard of quality management is to be confirmed lastly the relationship of cause-effect among the source of quality management, quality management activities and quality management is to be clarified. An empirical study was carried out to examine how Busan Container Terminals view quality management activities by the provision of statistical evidence showing the efforts to enhance the standard of quality management, common factors of quality management activities and causal relationship among these factors. The data investigating the quality management for Busan Container Terminals were collected from 170 persons in charge of quality management for port services in Busan Container Terminals the use of questionnaire method and personal interviews. The Cronbach's $\alpha$ coefficient and factor analysis were used to analyze the reliability and the propriety of measured variables. Furthermore SEM method using AMOS 4.0 was used to analyze the cause-effect relationship among the source. activities and accomplishments of quality management representing the core concept of quality management system. The importance of this study is placed in the description of the theoretical and general system on the quality management when the domestic container terminals have activated to promote the quality management, and in suggesting the actual problem and settlement method which are directly helpful to the field, and It can be indicated as having its meaning on future research obect.
The purpose of this study is to identify (1) the successful quality management activities of domestic enterprises contribute to enhancing both corporate and national competitiveness and that the corporate and national competitiveness are related each other; (2) and to have the government and the citizens as well as enterprises re-recognize the importance of quality management and encourage them to make aggressive investments on quality management. It was found in this study that the enterprises with quality management scheme showed better performance that those without quality management activities. It was also found that quality competitiveness is a key factor for the enhancement of the national competitiveness, and that although quality improvement is normally realized through efforts of private enterprises (a conventional paradigm), active government support and participation are absolutely necessary for the competitiveness of the nation and industries. Accordingly, the quality management should be recognized not only as part of business improvement activities, but as nationwide activities where public sectors including government enterprises, hospitals, schools, regional governments, media companies and citizens groups are involved. In order to build a high-quality nation in the 21st century, the quality improvement should be realized through concerted efforts of the people, enterprises and the government.
This paper analyzed the management quality activities and performance based on industrial types. We divided the business into four industrial types, manufacturing industry, service industry, medical institution and public enterprise. We analyzed the differences of the elements of management quality in industrial types. The results show that leadership, measurement, analysis and knowledge management and workforce focus categories are not significant and strategic planning, customer and market focus, process management and performance categories are significant. This paper proposes the directions of management quality activities and performance according to industrial types based on these results.
