우리나라에서의 증발식 냉각의 효용성

  • The effectiveness with which evaporative cooling can be used in Korea was analysed by making use of weather data of 15cities in a past decade. In ASHRAE comfort chart for a still air atmospheric condition was divided into two dimensional array, 14 zones by effective temperature and 10 zones by relative humidity, and all hours of weather condition in those zones were. computed from every 4 hours weather data in a past decade. From this computation obtained were for 15 cities : 1. average annual total hours above $23^{\circ}C$ ET 2. effective temperatures with $5\%$ excess factor, and 3. ratios of all hours in wet (above $25.6^{\circ}C$ WBT), intermediate $(22^{\circ}C\;to\;25.6^{\circ}C\;WBT)$, and dry $(below\;22^{\circ}C\;WBT)$ area to total hours in whole area on comfort chart beyond $23^{\circ}C$ ET to effective temperature of $5\%$ excess factor. It was shown from this computational result that in Korea evaporative cooling was not effective for building and residential comfort air conditioning but could be useful for comfort air conditioning in industry and industrial air conditioning, depending upon the air stream velocity and the type of application.

한국산 잡견에서의 실험적 심장이식술 (I) (Experimental Cardiac Transplantation in the Mongrel Dogs)

  • We underwent 21 cases of orthotopic heart transplantation in the mongrel dogs from May, 1988, to April, 1989. The preoperative hematologic and hemodynamic results were similar to those of the previous reports except glucose and albumin. The exposure of operative field was excellent under the median sternotomy. All the cases died within 48 hours and the mean survival time excluding 4 operative deaths was 11.23*9.36 hours [\ulcorner.D., range 0.3-35.5 hours] We speculated the main cause of death was low cardiac output due to the myocardial failure. At autopsy, there was feature of intramyocardial hemorrhage and coagulation necrosis suggesting poor myocardial protection. Now our team is ready to do heart transplantation in man but we need more precise experiences, especially on the immunosuppression and myocardial protection. Recently we continue further experiments with improving results.

  • Pharmacokinetic studies on time-course of blood levels, tissue distribution, and excretion of G009, a potential hepatoprotective agent, were performed in male rats after a single oral dose(20mg/kg) of $\^$14/C-labelled G009. The radioactivity concentrations in plasma during 0~3 hours are low, but subsequently increase to a maximum at 12 hours after dosing. $\^$14/C-G009 was well distributed to all tissue. Tissue concentration profiles of radioactivity vary among tissues on time-course after administration. G009(single oral dosage) was distributed and/or absorbed at gastric intestines and excretional organs for initial time of 0-7 hours, and distributed to most tissue at 12-24 hours. In special, the concentration of radioactivity in tiller at 48 hours were 1% of total radioactivity of $\^$14/C-G009 administered. The expired air, urinary and fecal excretion of radioactivity within 24hours after administration were 61.5%, 1.9% and 21.2% of total radioactivity of $\^$14/C-G009 administered. The biliary excretion of radioactivity in rat increased slightly for 0-6 hours after administration. The biliary excretion of radioactivity within 48hours were 1.97%.

  • Sensory evaluation and Instron test were carried out to study me effect of different cooking methods on the quality of soybean jeolpyon. Cooking methods studied were rice cake steamer, steaming pot, pressure cooker and microwave oven. 1. There were no significant difference in color and flavor between samples cooked by various methods. Moistness of samples by steaming pot and rice cake steamer was similar. Tenderness of samples by rice caker and pressure cooker was better man others. 2. After 24 hours elapsed, me quality of soybean jeolpyon showed me order of by rice cake steamer, steaming pot, pressure cooker and microwave oven. 3. It showed mat soybean ieolpyon by microwave oven was harder man others through Instron test. 4. Hardness of jeolpyons were increased as storage time increased. The rate was higher by pressure cooker and microwave oven man by rice cake steamer and steaming pot.

  • This study has been conducted to investigate the mating behavior, time sequence of mating and time limit with which female can fulfill spawning and brooding after pre-spawning molting in the giant fresh-water prawn, macrobrachium rosenbergii reared in the laboratory. the results obtained were summarized as follows. Mating happened spontaneously as the following sequences: courting gesture, seizure of female by male, mounting, turning of female, copulation. The entire mating lated approximately seven minutes. The endopodite of 2nd pleopod of male bore the appendix masculins whcih are male's secondary sex characteristic. cinciulli was formed at the distal portion of appendix interna which are on the upper portion of appendix masculins and helped stabilizing the connection of each side of 2nd pleopod during mating. After the connection of each side of 2nd plepod was fixed on the posterior portion of the thoracic sternum in female, a gelatinous spermatophore that emitted at the basipodite of 5th pereiopod during courting gesture was deposited on the ventral groove of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th pereiopod. time limit which female can fulfill copulation and brooding was from 3 hours to 15 hours after pre-spawning molting.

A Construction Method of Expert Systems in an Integrated Environment

  • This paper introduces a method of constructing expert systems in an integrated environment for automatic software design. This integrated environment may be applicable from top-level system architecture design, data flow diagram design down to flow chart and coding. The system is integrated with three CASE tools, FSD (Functional Structure Diagram), DFD (Data Flow Diagram) and structured chart PAD (Problem Analysis Diagram), and respective expert systems with automatic design capability by reusing past design. The construction way of these expert systems is based on systematic acquisition of design knowledge stemmed from a systematic design work process of well-matured developers. The design knowledge is automatically acquired from respective documents and stored in the respective knowledge bases. By reusing it, a similar software system may be designed automatically. In order to develop these expert systems in a short period, these design knowledge is expressed by the unified frame structure, functions of th expert system units are partitioned mono-functions and then standardized components. As a result, the design cost of an expert system can be reduced to standard work procedures. Another feature of this paper is to introduce the integrated environment for automatic software design. This system features an essentially zero start-up cost for automatic design resulting in substantial saving of design man-hours in the resulting in substantial saving of design man-hours in the design life cycle, and the expected increase in software productivity after enough design experiences are accumulated.

48시간 이내 응급실 재방문에 대한 분석 - 일개 종합병원을 대상으로 - (Return to the Emergency Department within 48 Hours)

  • Background : To evaluate the frequency and cause of return to the emergency department within 48 hours and to identify the nature of the problem. Methods : We reviewed the medical records of 76 patients who returned to the emregency department within 48 hours from September 1998 to February 1999. Results : Overall revisit rate within 48hours was 2.6%. Of 76 patients, 5(6.6%) had planned return, 64(84.2%) had unplanned return and 7(9.2%) had incomplete documentation. The causes of unplanned return were inadequate medical management (11.8%), discharge against medical advice (27.6%), return after scheduled ambulatory care (22.4%), and unavoidable revisit due to symptom aggrevation or development of new symptom (22.4%). Conclusion : The study provided a basic information for us to improve the quality of emergency care by reducing unnecessary return to the emergency department. It is necessary to monitor continuously the quality of emergency care and to develop the standard of emergency return rate.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 직장에서의 업무 외적인 활동에 대하여 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 업무시간 중 업무 외적인 커피 브레이크 및 스마트폰 사용, 그리고 소비한 시간을 보충하기 위한 수당지급 없는 야근이 성과에 미치는 간단한 이론모형을 개발하고 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째 업무시간 중 업무외 목적의 오프라인 커피 브레이크는 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 업무시간 중 업무외 목적의 스마트폰 사용은 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 직장 동료와의 의사소통에서는 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 업무시간 중 업무 외적으로 소비한 시간 보충을 위해 하는 수당지급 없는 야근은 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다.

  • In order primarily to establish the working stages in the reclamation works and to- analyze the working characteristics of man-power, the investigations for construction_ works were conducted on Echeon Largescale Reclamation Project Area. The results are summarized as follows; 1. The working chart on reclamation by man-power is Fig.IV-1. 2. The. ratio of actual working time to total varied with the total times, being 1.0 for less than 4 hours but about 0.9-0.83 for more than 5 hours. 3. Felling operations can be classified into three stages as truck-cutting, branch- cutting, and binding-up, of which results are in Table IV-2. The larger the diameter of stands, the more times for both the cutting operations are, but the moving time is constant to be about 15 sec. 4. Stumping and clearing works have the results prepared in Table IV-3. Between the stumping time and the diameter of stands d, there show highly significant positive correlations, expressed as t=2.212d -4.792. The more the ratio of small diameters to total, the more hastily the total hourly working results of each person are increased. 5. Working results for constructing drainage facilities and ridges are in Table IV-5. The labours for placing patches of grass are required more than twice or three times as much as those are showed in the established standards, and such the different results imply more investigation to be necessary. 6. Table IV-6 sholvs the results for plowing andh arrowing, that are less amount thant the standards. Therefore, more inverestigation should be prepared.

  • The finite element modeling of a ship for hull structural analysis on the basis of new harmonized common structural rules (CSR-H) is to be extended to the cargo holds in fore and after body of a ship. Unlike the parallel middle-body where the external and internal features of hull are equal along to the longitudinal direction of a ship, in fore and after body, the external and internal features of hull vary linearly or even irregularly in forms of a surface or a curve along to the longitudinal direction of a ship. Thus, it needs lots of design man-hours for the modeling for structural analysis. In order to save man-hours in initial structural design phase of a ship, the specified 3D CAD system has been adopted in shipbuilding industry. Through the interface between CAD and CAE (rule scantling and direct strength assessment), design man-hour in initial design phase can be saved even under the environment of CSR-H.
