  • Proper skin care promotes good metabolism and the biological activity of skin, helps maintain the skin in a healthy and beautiful state when combined with nutritional nourishment. Health functional foods are being used for the purpose of enhancing efficient skin care. Health functional foods related to skin care maintain the epidermis, dermal fibroblast layer and subcutaneous tissue that form the skin. Efficient functional foods alleviate the signs of endogenous aging that come with getting older and exogenous aging caused by sunlight. Even though the field of skin care related to health functional foods has received less attention and been the subject of less research compared to functional cosmetics which are developing widely, this area of skin care that maintains and improves the layer of dermal fibroblast through the intake of food, is expected to progress with the commercialization of products in many fields when the related technical research development is galvanized and the related patents are applied for. Research into health functional foods related to skin care in Korea started rather late in comparison to other advanced countries where patents for relevant techniques have been applied for since 1990's together with research conducted on how they might be used for practical purposes. This study used the key words 'skin care, health functional food' to search for Korean patents that have been applied for at the Korean Intellectual Property Office from 1983 to 2011 using the KIPRIS database, in order to help researchers in the related fields by organizing the patented formulas for health functional foods for skin care which have gained attention recently. According to the number of registrations in each industry field, the total number of patents was 1,120 we screened the major patents among them, the field with the largest number was food foodstuff non-alcoholic beverage and preparation or treatment(A23L) with 135, then natural plant medicine & medical supplies and cosmetics(A61K) with 112, microorganisms or enzymes(C12N) with 63, heterocyclic compounds(C07D) with 44, horticulture or cultivation of sea weeds, forestry(A01G) 16 times, listed from the highest to the lowest number of applications. It has been revealed that food, foodstuff, non-alcoholic beverage and preparation or treatment(A23L) was the industry field where the most patents for health functional foods related to skin care were registered.

  • Statistics education research is an important basis for improving the practice of statistical education by describing, predicting, and explaining the phenomena of statistical education. In this study, the research trends in Korea were analyzed through the statistical education research papers published in major Korean mathematics education journals on the 21st century. 99 papers published in these journals from 2000 to 2016 were categorized by journals, research subjects, research methods, and, topics. As a result, it was shown that there are not many statistics education researchers, so domestic researches are dependent on some researchers. In addition, the numbers of studies of human subjects and human non-subject researches were similar. There were few studies of university students, and the studies of teachers' subjects was gradually increasing since 2010. In the case of research methods, the numbers of experimental and non-experimental studies seem to be similar, but this is a result of the increase in qualitative research and mixed research since 2010. Last, many studies about domestic statistics education are on teaching and learning, and the studies on reasoning and understanding have been increasing. In this study, we see the research trends of domestic statistics education and provide implications for the future researches and development directions of statistical education research.

  • This study tries to give improvement directions of the law of oil spill focusing on the view that satisfying remuneration for victims should be considered. And it looks through the existing remuneration system provided by P&I Club and IOPC Fund. It also covers with issues related to remuneration in order to find the best for victims. The major contents of this study are as follows. First, the present law of compensation security to Marine oil pollution accident should be revised. Maximum value of remuneration needs to be raised and subjects liable to pay reparation need to be expanded. Second, in case the damage is widely different comparing to similar cases in foreign countries, it's hard to get complete remuneration from international corporations responsible for reparation. That's the reason the national emergency system for oil pollution must be established. Third, this study says the law that certainly defines a liability subject and that the liability is not necessarily caused by fault should be enacted. Last, it suggest that victims should have their object income data to facilitate establishment of the law of compensation for damages from marine oil pollution. To calculate proper remuneration, government should consider to choose one of public organizations as an investigator to damages and should collect accurate statistics relating to fishery. Furthermore, compensation system which can provide rapid reparation to victims needs to established by founding professional maritime organization of arbitration.

  • We are at the onset of a major revolution in education, a revolution unparalleled since the invention of the printing press. The computer will be the instrument of this revolution. Computers and computer application are everywhere these days. Everyone can't avoid the influence of the computer in today's world. The computer is no longer a magical, unfamiliar tool that is used only by researchers or scholars or scientists. The computer helps us do our jobs and even routine tasks more effectively and efficiently. More importantly, it gives us power never before available to solve complex problems. Mathematics instruction in secondary schools is frequently perceived to be more a amendable to the use of computers than are other areas of the school curriculum. This is based on the perception of mathematics as a subject with clearly defined objectives and outcomes that can be reliably measured by devices readily at hand or easily constructed by teachers or researchers. Because of this reason, the first large-scale computerized curriculum projects were in mathematics, and the first educational computer games were mathematics games. And now, the entire mathematics curriculum appears to be the first of the traditional school curriculum areas to be undergoing substantial trasformation because of computers. Recently, many research-Institutes of our country are going to study on computers in orders to use it in mathematics education, but the study is still start ing-step. In order to keep abreast of this trend necessity, and to enhance mathematics teaching/learning which is instructed lecture-based teaching/learning at the present time, this study aims to develop/present practical method of computer-using. This is devided into three methods. 1. Programming teaching/learning method This part is presented the following five types which can teach/learn the mathematical concepts and principle through concise program. (Type 1) Complete a program. (Type 2) Know the given program's content and predict the output. (Type 3) Write a program of the given flow-chart and solve the problem. (Type 4) Make an inference from an error message, find errors and correct them. (Type 5) Investigate complex mathematical fact through program and annotate a program. 2. Problem-solving teaching/learning method solving This part is illustrated how a computer can be used as a tool to help students solve realistic mathematical problems while simultaneously reinforcing their understanding of problem-solving processes. Here, four different problems are presented. For each problem, a four-stage problem-solving model of polya is given: Problem statement, Problem analysis, Computer program, and Looking back/Looking ahead. 3. CAI program teaching/learning method This part is developed/presented courseware of sine theorem section (Mathematics I for high school) in order to avail individualized learning or interactive learning with teacher. • Water wall tube is one of the major factors consisting of a fluidized bed boiler and it plays very important role for the generation of electricity within the boiler. But these water wall tubes within the fluidized bed boiler are subject to the ware and corrosion caused by the high temperature gas and the flowing medium. If water leak is occurred, the secondary damage by the water leak will occur. As a result of that, the power generation efficiency decreases noticeably. Therefore, the maintenance of the water wall tube is very important. In this study, we designed a exciter sensor based on simulation and composed a remote field eddy current system for the defect evaluation of the outer water wall tube. Starting from the shape design of exciter, we conducted simulations for various design factors such as the water wall tube size, material, frequency, lift-off and so on. Based on the results, we designed the optimum exciter sensor for the water wall tube test within the fluidized bed boiler.

  • A total of 90 surface sediment samples, collected from the continental margin area bordering east and southeast coast of Korea, were subject to the geochemical analyses with the aim of filling the gap in our knowledge of this environment. The analyzed items included the major elements (Al, Fe, Mg, Ca, K, Na, p and Mn), organic carbon, and some trace metals (Ba, Co, Cu, Sr and Zn). The sediment grain-size exerted a predominant influence on the contents of most elements, with the exceptions of Ca, K, Sr and Ba. The Ca and Sr contents, being closely interrelated each other, were mainly controlled by the calcium carbonate content. The K content, on the other hand, appeared to be influenced by both illite and feldspar. The Ba content showed a certain relationship with that of K, suggesting a common source of these two elements; potassium feldspar. The R-mode factor analysis result also reaffirmed the above-mentioned controlling factors on the sediment geochemistry. The grain-size dependency of trace metals obscures their areal distribution pattern from the total contents. However, with the metal/aluminum ratios we could differentiate the subtle difference in the metal enrichment. Hence, sediments of the southern coastal area appear to receive some anthropogenic inputs of metals, though the effect is still negligible.

  • A feng-shui map(山圖) represents the most ideal natural landform on a map of feng-shui space model, highlighting propitious spots and grave sites in terms of feng-shui. This study made an analysis into feng-shui maps featured in the Chinese feng-shui manual Jiriinjasuji published in the Ming dynasty of China and did research on the following points regarding the traits of landform expressions: viewpoints of feng-shui maps, perspective points, center-oriented maps, double map scales, mountain theories, detailed expressions of propitious spots, etc. The major characteristics of landform expressions in the Chinese feng-shui manual Jiriinjasuji are as follows: the viewpoint technique was aerial one; the maps were center-oriented, that is to say, the center of grave sites or propitious spot was depicted in detail; and often the important terrains around grave sites were exaggerated or delete compared with real landforms. In addition, other vital landforms not observed from grave sites were depicted with viewpoints moved and were represented in greater details' The part of mountain theories had the following points as their main subject matter: geographical locations, overall orientations of mountain ranges, topographical traits, grave seat directions, surrounding terrains and extent of fortune-bringing. The directions of the maps were relative and there was no definite concept of scales. But, there are many cases where the maps made use of the double scale technique when expressing the terrains that have propitious space, logistical cities or directional importance. Furthermore, they often utilized multiple scale in expressing near views, mid-range views and distant views.
