  • This paper reports the development of a special impact fatigue test machine for high pressure vessels. The targeted vessels are subjected to shock pressures equivalent of explosions. This severe loading condition brings many difficulties to the design of test machine. Unfortunately, there are very rare such test machine in the world, and more worse, the machine is not opened and sold.

  • This study consists of two parts. The first discusses the development of a single production forming machine which was reported in earlier papers. The second outlines the development of a multi-production forming machine, which consists primarily of a film feeding unit, an unwinding unit, and a heating block unit. The heating block unit of the multi-production forming machine has 30 members per die. An analysis of the stress deformation and temperature deviation of this machine is carried out using ANSYS Workbench and CFX-11 under the design conditions. According to this analysis, the maximum deflection in the Z-direction is $0.05104{\mu}m$ and the maximum temperature deviation is $0.7^{\circ}C$ when the temperature of the heating block unit is $175^{\circ}C$. It was also found that these values are structurally safe. The advantage of the developed multi-production forming machine is demonstrated to be in its offering of a proper voice test.

  • Development of sorting machine for photo diode and its control system is addressed. The sorting machine for optical communication device requires high positional precision because the alignment is one of the most important point in the sorting process. This sorting method describes how to detect the target chip's angle and position from the wafer. The machine vision system is used for the feedback control. This sorting machine is implemented by motion controller, machine vision and various solenoid valve and is interfaced with RS-232c, GPIB and PCI communication. This system gets the position accuracy within $1{\mu}m$ with our experiments.

공작기계 장시간 가공중 열변형의 CNC 자율보정 기술 (Autonomous Compensation of Thermal Deformation during Long-Time Machining Process)

  • The biggest factors, which lower the machining accuracy of machine, are thermal deformation and chatter vibration. In this article, we introduce the development case of a device and technology that can automatically compensate thermal deformation errors of machine during long-time processing on the machine tool's CNC (Computerized Numerical Controller) in real time. In machine processing, the data acquisition of temperature signal in real time and auto-compensation of the machine origin of machine tools depending on thermal deformation have significant influence on improving the machining accuracy and the rate of operation. Thus, we attempts to introduce the related contents of the development we have made in this article : The development of a device that embedded the acquisition part of temperature data, linear regression to get compensation value, compensation model of neural network and a system that compensates the machine origin of machine tool automatically during manufacturing process on the CNC.

  • 공작기계는 산업발전의 기초가 되며 그 나라 기술수준을 반영하는 디자인 가공, 제어, 조립 등과 같은 분야에서 고도의 기술력을 요구하기 때문에 기계류 부품의 생산성 향상 및 품질향상에 큰 영향을 주게된다. 그러나, 국내업체의 경우 능숙한 기술자나 공작기계 개발을 위한 충분한 자본의 확보가 어려워 선진 공작기계 제조업체와의 기술적 차이를 극복하기가 어려운 실정이다. 따라서, 이 논문은 국내의 공작기계 업체가 안고있는 문제점들을 인식하고 국제 경쟁력의 향상을 위해서 국·내외 공작기계 회사의 현 상태 및 연구경향 등을 조사하여 국내 공작기계 업체를 지원하기 위한 국가차원에서의 종합적인 연구개발과제를 도출하고자 한다.

  • This paper aims at describing a series development of the electrical machine, by using the Similarity Theory. The character of the electrical machine defined as the Four Terminal Network of the electrical and mechanical energy transmission system, and the analogy theory of the modelmachine can be developed by the Four Termianl System. Also the Restriction Parameter and Disturbance Parameter can be founded by the comparative data of the developed machine that is the character of the theory and measurement.

기상측정(機上測定) 시스템 개발 (Development of On-the-Machine Measurement(OMM) System)

  • This paper describes the development of on-the-machine measuring(OMM) system which can directly measure the two and three dimensional machined accuracy using a scanning probe in milling machine. Two algorithms, NC program based continuous path(CP) measurement and CAD data assisted point to point(PTP) measurement, are developed for three dimensional measurements, with consideration of the characteristics of the scanning probe. The algorithms are used to develop an auto measuring system. The delveloped system is compared with the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) in terms of accuracy and repeatability. The OMM system is expected to realize measurement time reduction and hence result in high productivity.

  • In this paper, a development of the control system for the milling machine which is used to cut teeth of the automibile keys is presented as an example of the industry-university cooperation. The machine is controlled by a computer and a PLC. The control of the servo motors are accomplished by the computer and mechanical sequences are by PLC. This machine is capable of cutting key teeth up to the accuracy of 10 microns.

  • An Integrated Test Facility(ITF) is a human factors experimental environment to evaluate an advanced man machine interface(MMI) design. The ITF includes a human machine simulator(HMS) comprised of a nuclear power plant function simulator, man-machine interface, experiment control station for the experiment control and design, human behavioural data measurement system, and data analysis and experiment evaluation supporting system(DAEXESS). The most important features of ITF is to secure the flexibility and expandibility of Man Machine Interlace(MMI) design to change easily the environment of experiments to accomplish the experiment's objects In this paper, we describe a development scope and characteristics of the ITF such as, hardware and software development scope and characteristics, system thermohydraulic modelling characteristics, and experiment station characteristics for the experiment variables design and control, to be used as an experiment environment for the evaluation of VDU-based control room.

  • This research is related with the development of CNC spinning machine. The purpose is to use for developing the practical parts of automobile such as dams, pulley, etc. The machine structure is made by heavy duty frame for the steel products with high strength. The hydraulic servo system is applied for giving the exactness of control. In order to improve the spinnability, the involute curves can be generated in CNC program In the future, this spinning machine is applicable to development of all the parts of industry such as electric parts, automobile parts, aerospace and the military supplies.
