A turbopump system composed of two pumps and one turbine is considered. The turbine composed of a nozzle and a rotor is used to drive the pumps while gas passes through the nozzle and potential energy is converted to kinetic energy, which forces the rotor blades to spin. In this study, an aerodynamic design of turbine system is investigated with some pre-determined design requirements (i.e., pressure ratio, rotational speed, required power, etc.) following Liquid Rocket Engine (L.R.E.) system specifications. For simplicity of turbine system, impulse-type rotor blades for open-type L.R.E. have been chosen. Usually, the open-type turbine system requires low mass flow-rate compared to close-type system. In this study, a partial admission nozzle is adopted to maximize the efficiency of the open-type turbine system. A design methodology of turbine system was introduced. Especially, partial admission nozzle was designed by means of simple empirical correlations between efficiency and configuration of the nozzle. Finally, a turbine system design is presented for a 10 ton thrust level of L.R.E.
We present a kinematic analysis of 172 likely member galaxies of the Ursa Major Cluster. In order to understand the dynamical state of the cluster, we investigate the correlation of the cluster morphology with rotation, the velocity dispersion profile, and the rotation amplitude parallel to the global rotation direction. Both the minor axis and the rotation are very well-aligned with the global rotation axis in the outer region at half radius (> 0.5 $R_{max}$), but not in the inner region. The cluster exhibits low velocity dispersion and rotation amplitude profiles in the inner region, but higher in the outer. Both profiles exhibit outwardly increasing trends, suggesting an inside-out transfer of angular momentum of dark matter via violent relaxation, as revealed by a recent off-axis major-merging simulation. From Dressler-Schectman plots in the plane of galactic positions, and velocity versus position angle of galaxy, we are able to divide the Ursa Major Cluster into two substructures: Ursa Major South (UMS) and Ursa Major North (UMN). We derive a mass of $3.2{\times}10^{14}M_{\odot}$ for the cluster through the two-body analysis by the timing argument with the distance information (37 for UMN and 36 for UMS) and the spin parameter of ${\lambda}=0.049$. The two substructures appear to have passed each other 4.4 Gyr ago and are moving away to the maximum separation.
The proton NMR line widths and spin-lattice relaxation rates, $T_1^{-1}$, of ferroelectric $LiH_3(SeO_3)_2$, $Li_2SO_4{\cdot}H_2O$, and $LiN_2H_5SO_4$ single crystals were measured as a function of temperature. The line width measurements reveal rigid lattice behavior of all the crystals at low temperatures and line narrowing due to molecular motion at higher temperatures. The temperature dependences of the proton $T_1^{-1}$ for these crystals exhibit maxima, which are attributed to the effects of molecular motion by the Bloembergen - Purcell - Pound theory. The activation energies for the molecular motions of $^1H$ in these crystals were obtained. From these analysis, $^1H$ in $LiH_3(SeO_3)_2$ undergoes molecular motion more easily than $^1H$ in $LiN_2H_5SO_4$ and $Li_2SO_4{\cdot}H_2O$ crystals.

In this paper, the flexible piezoelectric nanocomposite generator(NCG) device based on $BaTiO_3$ nanostructures was fabricated via simple and low-cost spin coating method. The $BaTiO_3$ nanostructures synthesized by self-assembly reaction showed dendrite morphologies. To produce the piezoelectric nanocomposite(p-NC layer) which acts as an electric energy source in NCG device, the piezoelectric nanopowders($BaTiO_3$) were dispersed in polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS). Sequently, the p-NC layer was inserted in two dielectric layer of PDMS; these layers enabled the NCG device flexibility as well as durability prohibiting detachment(exfoliation) for significantly mechanical bending motions. The fabricated NCG device shows average maximum open circuit voltage of 6.2 V and average maximum current signals of 300 nA at 20 wt% composition of $BaTiO_3$ nanostructures in p-NC layer. Finally, the flexible energy harvester generates stable output signals at any rate of frequency which were used to operate LCD device without any external energy supply.
A transparent and colorless $80SiO_2-20TiO_2$(mol%) thin films on soda-lime-silica slide glass and sapphire substrate were obtained by spin-coating technique using tetraethyl orthosilicate and titanium trichloride as starting materials. The prepared film annealed at $750^{\circ}C$ showed a high transmittance and a low reflectance. For the $SiO_2-TiO_2$ films on slide glasses, a strong interaction between the sodium ion and oxygens is properbly the origin of the good stability to the high temperature and the high humidity.

The well-used actuators for the attitude control of spacecrafts are thruster, reaction wheel, control moment gyroscope, and magnetic torquer. Among them, the control moment gyroscope(CMG) which generates the torque based on the gyroscopic principle in physics, has an advantage of the high torque output compared to the low power consumption. This paper introduces an outline of CMG hardware technology, its application history in spacecrafts, and their associated hardware characteristics. Moreover, its spin-off cases to the other industrial fields such as ship, robotics, and MEMS including their research trend are provided.
Nanoparticles of $Fe_2O_3$ with a mean particle size of 4-30 nm have been prepared by a pulsed wire evaporation method, and its structural and magnetic properties were studied by SQUID magnetometer and Mossbauer spectroscopy. From the main peak intensity of XRD and absorption rate of Mossbauer spectrum, the amounts of $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$ and $\alpha-Fe_2O_3$ in as-prepared sample are about 70% and 30%, respectively. The coercivity (53 Oe) and the saturation magnetization (14 emu/g) are about 20% of those of the bulk $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$. The low value of coercivity and saturation magnetization indicate that the $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$ phase nearly shows the spin glass-like behavior. Analysis of the set of Mossbauer spectrum indicates a distribution of magnetic hyperfine fields due to the particle size distribution yielding 20 nm of average particle size. The magnetic hyperfine parameters are consistent with values reported of bulk $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$ and $alpha-Fe_2O_3$. A quadrupole line on the center of spectrum represents of superparamagnetic phase of $\gamma-Fe_2O_3$ with a mean particle size of 7 nm or below.

The purpose of this study is to identify the barriers of university and industry cooperation and to develop recommendations for the internal ecosystem of technology commercialization. The research method used is a survey of three categories of experts from 9 universities of Almaty (researchers, technology transfer managers, spin-off-owners). Despite the strong efforts of the government of Kazakhstan in building innovation infrastructure, there is a low level of innovation activity, less than 5% of university inventions are transferred into the industry. The results of the expert survey showed that the main barriers for cooperation between university and industry are: lack of resources to build university-industry links, lack of time due to high teaching load, poor qualification of technology transfer managers and lack of networking with industry. Based on the results of the expert survey, it is proposed to develop the ecosystem for the commercialization of university-based technologies, for which the following economic activities are important: human resources, financing, intellectual property management system, and intermediary infrastructure. The results of this study can be applied in developing the strategies and policies for universities, public research organizations, as well as for national R&D and higher education policies.

An octa-functional alkoxyamine initiator, with the 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-l-piperidinyloxy (TEMPO) free radical, was synthesized based on resorcinarene, with its efficiency to initiate the nitroxide-mediated free radical copolymerization of styrene and methyl methacrylate (MMA) described. A difunctional analogue of this initiator was also synthesized, using resorcinol as the core molecule. The structures of the resulting initiators were confirmed by homolysis studies based on electron spin resonance spectroscopy and molecular modeling. The polymerization behavior and characteristics of the polymers obtained using these two initiators were also compared. Well-defined star-shaped and linear random copolymers, with low polydispersities and controlled molecular weights, were prepared. The efficiencies of these initiators towards copolymerization, as well as the parameters permitting the formation of well-defined polymers, were also investigated. The reactivity ratios were $r_a=0.42(a=styrene)\;and\;r_b=0.33(b=MMA)$ for the octa-functional initiator system and $r_a=0.45\;and\;r_b=0.39$ for the difunctional initiator system.
Perfluorinated polymer($Cytop^{TM}$) was deposited on selective area of AlGaN/GaN HEMT structure using low cost and simple spin-coating method, and the electrical characteristics of the device was analyzed for application of passivation layer on semiconductors. Gate lag measurement results of $Cytop^{TM}$ passivated and unpassivated HEMT were compared. Passivated device shows improved 65 % pulsed drain current of dc mode value. Rf measurements were also performed. $Cytop^{TM}$ passivated HEMT have similar rf performance to PECVD grown $Si_3N_4$ passivated device. $Cytop^{TM}$ passivation layer may play an important role in mitigating surface state trapping in the region between gate and drain.
