  • 발진기의 위상잡음에 영향윤 주는 요인은 여러 가지가 있다. 그러나 발진기의 위상잡음은 주로 캐리어(carrier)와 l/f의 특성을 잦는 DC 근처 저주파 잡음과의 혼합으로 발생되므로, 저주파 플리커 잡음에 의해 지배된다. 본 논문에서는 능동 바이어스 회로로 구현된 저주파 궤환회로를 이용하여 플리커 잡음의 영향을 최소화함으로써 발진기의 위상잡음을 줄이는 기법을 제안하고, DBS 수신기에 사용 가능한 DRO를 제작하였다. 제작된 DRO의 위상잡음을 측정한 갤과 10 kHz 옵셋 주파수에서 약 -92 dBc/Hz로 제안된 방볍이 상당히 효과적임을 확인 하였다

  • Noise reduction is an important factor to design low noise sensor array. In this paper three layers of the de-coupler in the conformal sensor array were used to investigate noise reduction. Conformal sensor array is positioned in the layers and the distance from the layer is 0.25cm~1.5cm. Transfer function in the frequency density function is investigated according to the three different positions. When increasing the embedded distance the flow noise decreased in the region of the kx>10.

터보냉동기의 소음원 파악 및 저소음화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Identification of Noise Source and the Noise Reduction Method of a Turbo Chiller)

  • In this paper, we identify the noise source and the path of a chiller. This chiller is newly developed for R-l34a refrigerant and 250 RT cooling capacity. The measured overall SPL of the developed turbo-chiller is about 100 dBA. Due to the high rotating speed of the centrifugal impeller, the nun noise source of the chiller is the blade passing frequency and its higher harmonics of the centrifugal impeller. This generated soundpropagates through the duct, and then transmits and radiates to the outer field. From the experiment, it is found that the high frequency noise is mostlytransmitted and radiated through the elbow duct, but the low frequency noise is transmitted and vadiated through the condenser wall. Therefore applying the absorbing material is an effective way of reducing the high and low frequency noise simultaneously. Measurement results show that the application of the sound absorbing material to the elbow duct reduced the overall sound pressure level by 4 dB compared to the 9 dBA reduction for the case of full enclosure. In order to control the generated noise, a dissipativetype silencer is also designed and tested. The silencer reduced the radiated noise about 7.5 dBA.

도로 소음 저감을 위한 능동소음제어 시스템의 개발 및 기초실험 (Development and Basic Experiment of Active Noise Control System for Reduction of Road Noise)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is about noise which is generated from roads and is consist of irregular frequency variation from low frequency to various band. The existing methods of noise reduction are sound barrier that uses insulation material and absorbing material or have applied passive technology of noise reduction by devices. The total frequency band is needed to apply active noise control. METHODS : In this study applies to the field of road traffic environment, signal processing controller and various analog signal input/output, the amplifier module is based on parallel-core embedded processor designed. DSP performs the control algorithm of the road traffic noise. Noise sources in the open space performance of evaluation were applied. In this study, controller of active signal processor was designed based on the module of audio input/output and main controller of embedded process. The controller of active signal processor operates noise reduction algorithm and performance tests of noise reduction in inside and outside environment were executed. RESULTS : The signal processing controller with OMAP-L137 parallel-core processors as the center, DSP processors in the active control operations dealt with quickly. To maximize the operation speed of an object and ARM processor is external function keys and display for functions and evaluating the performance management system was designed for the purpose of the interface. Therefore the reduction of road traffic noise has established an electronic controller-based noise reduction. CONCLUSIONS : It is shown that noise reduction is effective in the case of pour tonal sound and complex tonal sound below 500Hz by appling to Fx-LMS.

  • Current Optical Disk drive is dominating high share gradually in information storage device market through development of great skill. These technologies can achieve not only improvement of transmission speed but also elevation of recording/reproduction technology. However, these present state cause not only the increase of vibration in structural viewpoint but also problem of serious noise while the ODD becomes high speed/high performance. Specially, air-born noise is being bigger than structural-born noise as disk rotation speed increases gradually. The object of this research is that reduce the air-born noise in optical disk drive by reducing a quantity of flow by using a miniaturized muffler. The micro muffler is a miniaturized muffler. The muffler is used widely by solution to reduce air-born noise which is generated by flow. According to frequency band of the noise source, it can be applied by muffler of various forms. In this research, we examined the noise characteristics of the micro muffler and applied it by noise reduction solution of the ODD. It could get an excellent noise reduction in high frequency band by using the micro muffler than the opened case through the decrease of an inner flow. But it could not get a noise reduction in low frequency band through the decrease of an inner flow.

  • As high performance and high speed have been accomplished by technology of optical disk drive. optical disk drives have gradually high percentage of the market share in market of storage devices. This technology helps to improve the quality of record/reproduction. However, simultaneously it causes various problems in the structural aspect and increases noise largely. Especially at high speed, dominant noise is more influenced by fluid noise than by structure-borne noise. The purpose of this study is that reduce the air-born noise in optical disk drive as it decreases a quantity of flow by using a micro muffler. The micro muffler is a miniaturized muffler. The muffler is used widely by solution to reduce air-borne noise which is generated by flow. According to frequency band of the noise source, it can be applied by muffler of various forms. In this study, we examined the acoustic characteristics of the micro muffler and applied it to reduction of the ODD noise.   • Low frequency heavy-weight impact noise is the most irritating noise in Korean high-rise reinforced concrete apartment buildings. This low frequency noise is generated by foot traffic due to the fact that Koreans do not wear shoes at home. The transmission of the noise is facilitated by a load bearing wall structural system without beams and columns which is used in these buildings. In order to control low frequency heavy-weight impact noise, floating floors using isolation materials such as glass-wool mat and poly-urethane mat are used. However, it was difficult to control low frequency heavy-weight impact sound using isolation material. In this study, reinforcement of concrete slab using beams and plate was conducted. Using the FEM analysis, the effect of concrete slab reinforcement using FRP(fiber-glass reinforced plastic) on the bang machine impact vibration acceleration level and sound were conducted at the standard floor impact sound test building. The $3{\sim}4dB$ floor impact vibration acceleration level and impact sound pressure level were reduced and the natural frequency of slabs were changed.

  • When a membrane couples with compressive fluid, waves on the membrane follow a typical dispersion relations. One of characteristics of this relations is that evanscent waves occur below cutoff frequency. We have attempt to use this spatially decaying characteristics as a low frequency sound absorber. Theoretical development has required to solve membrane-fluid coupled linear differential. The solution has been successfully obtained by using eigenfunctions. To assure the obtained solution, experiment was also performed. The comparison was quite satisfactory. We conclude, based on these theoretical as well as experimental evidences, that it is very likely possible to use a membrane as a low frquency sound control element.

  • Helicopter noise has been considered as one of major design factors like a performance and safety since the public acceptance, comfortability and stealth aspects were important for customers. According to the airworthiness regulation, the noise levels in throe different flight conditions shall comply with the specific limits. Main and tail rotors noise is most dominant in far field due to the low and mid range frequency characteristics. It is an air-born noise so That the accurate aerodynamic data is necessary for the accurate noise prediction. In KARI, low noise main and tail rotors as well as analysis codes have been developed since 2000. The approach for low noise main rotor is a kind of tip modifications, so called twin vortices tip to reduce the BVI noise. Analysis results show the 9.3dB reduction in terms of pseudo EPNL. The uneven spacing concept is applied for low noise tail rotor. Three or four decibel noise reduction is achieved by new optimized uneven spacing. Rotor noise and aerodynamic prediction codes have been improved also.

  • Speckle noise reduction for 3D power doppler ventricle coherent image for restoration and enhancement using wavelet packet transform with separated thresholding is presented. Wavelet Packet Transform divide into low frequency component image to high frequency component image to be multi-resolved. speckle noise is located on high frequency component in multiresolution image mainly. A ventricle image is transformed and inversed with separated threshold function from low to high resolved images for restoration to be utilize visualization for ventricle diagnosis. The experimental result shows that the proposed method has better performance in comparison with the conventional method.
