Nowadays, there is increasing demand for a training program to transfer advanced knowledge of shipping and port logistics with the investments in overseas shipping and port market. A current training program in the field of shipping and port logistics has a short-term achievement, but domestic logistics companies do not utilize the training program to penetrate into the overseas market. Therefore, this paper investigates domestics logistics companies' overseas business activities, and current operation and problems of a training program. In addition, this paper presents how to utilize a training program for domestics shipping and port logistics companies to penetrate successfully into the overseas market.

The benefit of TPL(Third-party Logistics) is reduction of transportation time, accuracy, improved expertise knowledge and access to logistics information system, improved operational efficiency, improved customer service, ability to focus in core business and greater flexibility. On the contrary, the defect of TPL is loss of control, unreliable promise of the enterprise (provider),inability to respond to logistics system requirement, lack of understanding of the user business goals . This thesis aims to suggest the optimal strategic to improve the logistics system and to satisfy the customer needs and also aims to suggest the TPL method to strengthen the TPL companies. National industrial complexes, airports, and seaports are major logistics nodes and the availability of their logistics services is a key factor for the successful operation of entire supply chains. For this reason, the central government has established a plan for their development and is investing in development projects. However, some difficulties exist in project prioritization and investment plan creation owing to the absence of a clear appraising method. For a smooth flow of national logistics and efficient investment on facilities, it is necessary to diagnose the logistics facilities' present conditions and practice sustainable management. In this study, a diagnostic method for logistics services, which consists of service factors and facility factors, is proposed. Adopting the method, facility factors can be prioritized to improve facilities' services; further, a standard procedure is proposed to support decision making for effective investments in logistics facilities. The method is applied to actual logistics facilities (three national industrial complexes, three seaports, and two airports) and the results indicate that it can be effectively applied to actual logistics facilities.

The digital transformation of the shipbuilding, shipping, and logistics sectors is predicted to lead to the introduction of autonomous ships and changes in the way ships are operated. The co-existence of various operation forms, such as autonomous operation and remote operation, with the existing operation methods is expected to lead to the transformation of the ship operation process and the emergence of new stakeholders. This paper studies the future ship operation process according to the change in ship operation method, predicts the change in the operating environment of future ships, and derives functional requirements by major tasks and stakeholders. The Delphi technique is applied to construct a ship operation scenario from the planning stage of voyage and cargo transport to the stage of arrival at the final destination port and discharge of cargo, and to predict future work changes by task and actor. Seafarers' activities are expected to be minimised by remote and autonomous operation, and experts in each field are expected to have responsibilities and tasks in different aspects of ship operation.

Given the expansion of globalization and international trade, the number of apparel consumers is growing every year, making it difficult to estimate the amount of handling needed from the logistics industry. To determine which management factors are important and which ones require improvement, fuzzy AHP was used. Using this method, the factors were ranked in the final analysis as follows: The first and most important factor was training employees (0.17), while the second was fire hazard management (0.169); the third-highest factor was inbound and outbound goods (0.142), and the fourth was the warehouse management system. Barcode management was ranked fifth. By these results, we were able to analyze the processes of clothing warehouses, noting that although the factors appear independent, they are actually connected while proceeding with full management control. Moreover, because of the special characteristics of garments, employee management is crucial. Due to the vulnerability of these goods to fire hazards, this factor must be well managed.

Recently, Free Trade Area generally moves toward a complex and total zone carrying out the logistics and production function simultaneously. Nevertheless, Free Trade Area of Gwangyang Bay Area performs a traditional logistics function only without a introduction of production function. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to suggest alternatives for strengthening the function of Free Trade Area of Gwangynag port. The main findings of this research is summarized as followings. First, a complex and total Free Trade Area through enhancing a production function is to be established. Second, for an efficient management & operation of Free Trade Area, a cooperative system establishment between Free Trade Areas and a single operation system is necessary.

Currently at port, various trials about the improvement of operating method for raising operation efficiency of transferring equipment are made, but if the delay is occurred to quay crane due to individual team method in YT operation, the problem which even arranged YT should stop the work. Therefore, this study installed wireless location determining device within yard and measured the location of YT with real-time. Also, in order to raise the location determination effect, we converted operating method into pooling operation method and arranged YT. Through this study, we can trace the movement of YT with real-time and the work control method which anlayzes and evaluates congestion of yard objectively is prepared.

This study The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of relationship factors and technical factors on the logistics performance of logistics companies. As a result of the analysis, information sharing, mutual trust, and mutual benefit of the inter-organizational relationship factors as factors affecting the logistics performance were analyzed as the factors that positively influence the logistics performance. In the technology factor, IT infrastructure and technology reliability are analyzed as factors that positively influence logistics performance, but system operation capacity is analyzed as a factor that does not positively affect logistics performance. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be confirmed that logistics companies can maximize the logistics performance by mutual sharing of information, mutual benefit and trust, and it is also confirmed that technical reliability is also an important factor.

The third party logistics(3PL) is generally understood as the logistics activities providing a comprehensive logistics services, all or partly outsourced by the customers on a larger term contract basis, ranging from making logistics strategies to implementing information technology services. A lot of companies in advanced countries such as the U.S.A. or some of the European countries have actively outsourced to logistics service providers in efforts to increase the efficiencies in logistics operation rather than doing themselves. In light of these environments, outsourcing to third parties has become a strategic issue demanding greater attention in corporate boardrooms. First, after deciding their logistics outsourcing, the companies have to set up their aims of 3PL through the development of logistical strategies. Second, the companies must decide service provider that fits to their business environment and conditions. As it is reported that 3PL services will bring a high rate of return and its potential will be more signigicant, providers and users of 3PL services and government ministry should prepare the way of improvement of logistics institution and plan to activate 3PL services to reach the advanced foreign countries level.
